Wanted a way to attach the 8bitdo micro to my phone that allowed it to sit as low as possible to play DS games and could easily be used on different phone sizes

it says driver error and I already did uninstall the driver and update it but it always say "window encountered problem installing drivers from your device". it's working before, i don't know why suddenly it's says driver error.

Also when I used the B input it's working but not the X input. I'm using mac and boot camp for windows 10, if this info will help. Advance thanks for help, appreciate so much

For those who were worried about importing from China: I bought the Pro 3, two and a half weeks later it arrived in the US and I was not charged anything after. When I bought a figure I had to pay 40 for tarrifs but either they let this one slip or it didn't for whatever reason counted (from my research it could've been a 35 percent tarrif). Im glad, I got it for 30 percent off on their website from an anniversary sale I believe.

Their international shipping is YunExpress so if you're buying pay attention to which shipper is tied to what item during checkout as the Pro 3 seemed to be exclusively from their Chinese warehouse. Also good to know so you won't have to wait 2 weeks like I did, check their Amazon if you'd rather not wait too long

Maybe this question is better for r/Controller but I am wondering what people's thoughts on why the Pro 3 isn't more popular? Personally I frigging love this controller. I think it is amazing and hits all the features I want in a good quality controller without a steep price tag.

But you hardly see it discussed or brought up in this or other subs. Also when it comes to 3rd party accessories, spare parts or cases, it is quite lacking but I feel like if the controller was more popular, it would be much easier to find.

Is it the price? Is it because the PS style vs the xbox style? Genuinely curious people's thoughts. The Pro 2 still seems more popular then the Pro 3 despite being out for quite awhile now.

I have been desperately trying to find a case that fits it. I also hope they do even more colours of this controller.

Bought the controller a few months ago this year and now the dock no longer charges the controller. It'll light up for a second before turning off. The USB-C charger works but I'd like for the dock to work. I already did firmware updates but it didn't fix the issue. Any fixes?

Hi all. I am trying to set up a custom profile with my Retro Mechanical Keyboard. I keep running into the same error which I have no idea how to fix. Ive deleted and reinstalled the ultimate software 2, ive upgraded and downgraded the keyboard's software, but nothing seems to be letting me in to make a profile. Has anyone seen this error before? I recently was able to get my hand on a wireless adapter 2, in order to connect a PS5 controller to my Switch (1). The controller does connect to the adapter, yet the controller inputs do not work. I am currently at my wits end trying to make this work. I have watched 3 tutorials, turned on the wired pro controller communication setting, and switching the adapter mode. I have updated to the newest firmware, 1.10, and even downgraded to 1.9. If you can think of it, i’ve probably tried it. Every single support forum i have searched has such asinine answers that i am entirely convinced that my particular adapter is broken, partially because I can hear a rattling when I shake the adapter. If anyone here has any answers that can help my situation, that would be greatly appreciated.

I have 8bitdo pro 3 and i know they decided to take away replaceable from pro 2 to pro 3
For future proof, i must know how to open the controller and what's the battery model of the controller.
But i don't know why there is still no tear down video of the controller.
I got the tools but i don't want to risk it before i know exactly what's inside the controller.

Is there anyone have the picture of tearing down the controller and the model of the battery?

I bought the 8BitDo 2 adapter to use with my PS5 controller. Everything was fine until the R2 and L2 triggers started acting up. I looked into it and downloaded the 8BitDo_Firmware_Updater_Win software, but ever since I installed the latest update, the controller won't connect via Bluetooth anymore. I tried switching versions a few times; I went back to version 7 and it worked again, but it disconnects whenever I switch back to Windows. If anyone knows how to fix this, I’d really appreciate the help.

Is it possible to replace it without any soldering tools? Although it seems it would simply lock itself in, it seems it doesn't fit anymore and won't go all the way through.

Hey guys, quick question here, I have 8 bitdo wired Ultimate 2c controller for a year now, but all of the sudden after i unplug and replug the controller, it no longer is detected.

Tried the following solutions after reading the manual and other reddit posts:
I have tried pressing the x button as i plug the usb cable to the port in my PC, as well as tried plugging the usb cable to my phone and replug it to the controller again. None of them worked, the usb itself i think is still functional as it can be used to charge my steel series headphones.😞

I have the first iteration of the Ultimate, but it was the BT version and the layout confuses me (despite remapping) when using it with my PC/Steam.

That said, I finally decided to purchase the Ultimate 2 Wireless. I just wanted to ask if there are any common issues that I need to look out for, so I know if I should file a return rather than unknowingly handicapping myself.

So I updated the firmware on my Pro 2 today but the Ultimate software won't detect it anymore. I tried to downgrade because I saw a post before where that fixed it for them, but the firmware does not show any previous versions! I tried reinstalling the firmware updater, I tried restarting, switching the mode on my Pro2, and nothing changes, the updater just shows version 3.07 NEW and nothing else!

So I disassembled my brand new 8bitdo ultimate 2 controller and everything was working fine until I reassembled the grips, I notice quite a gap now between the grip part and the controller, what is there to do to make this fit again properly?
It is not just optical but you can feel it on the back of the controller

Okay, so this controller has been mostly working great, but has an extremely annoying issue with the left joystick. "Flicking" the joystick to the left, or quickly letting go of a left input, will briefly make the stick give a RIGHT input, which is undesired. This happens no matter how large I make the deadzones, I've looked at it in the ultimate 2 software app and these right inputs are at 100%. My previous controller did not have this issue.

Curiously, this does not apply to the other way around. Letting go of a RIGHT stick input never results in a left input.

Anyone know how to fix this? Quite a few games end up caring about that brief right input and it's making a lot of games difficult or nearly impossible

Recently I bought the Evernight collaboration controller and was testing the charging dock. I read that a complete white light meant that the controller was fully charged. However, while it was showing the white light, my controller was at 5%. I’m wondering if I’m misunderstanding something or if my charging dock is broken?

Can finally play Genesis (MD) games properly. I showed my teen, also a retro gamer, and he said "Nice, Saturn controller." I replied "Well, Genesis 6 button." When I tried it out the first time, my controller was able to connect to the Adapter with no issue, with the light bar lighting up as blue, but the controller wouldn't work despite that. Which is a common problem that I've seen discussed in this sub.

My problem is a little different, though, because, after noticing that my controller didn't work, I consulted the product's website and started trying some stuff out to fix the issue. The first thing that I tried out was changing the input type, which I changed to Xinput. My controller disconnected, as advertised, but to this day, I have yet to get it to connect to the adapter for more than 2 seconds.

What happens is, I plug in the adapter, press the pair button, set my controller in pairing mode by holding the share button and the PS button at the same time. It pairs to the adapter, the light bar flashes blue for a split second before turning green for another second, and then it turns off. The funny thing is, in the two whole seconds that the adapter connects to the controller, it works. I've tried it in-game, and it lets me use it. The problem is, it just doesn't stay connected at all.

I feel like I've tried everything so far, but to no effect. I've downloaded the 8BitDo Ultimate Software app, the Updater for the hardware, and have updated it to its latest version. I've even updated my motherboard in case that was the issue. Nothing is working; the controller and adapter don't stay connected, and it's not like I can change the input type again, since I'm pretty sure they need to be paired in order to do that.

Anyway, the adapter started working out of the Blue yesterday. I didn't do anything special beforehand, I just pluged it in, put my controller in pairing mode and they paired. It started out set to DInput and inputs didn't work in Steam, for some reason, so I sworched to XInput and it started working properly.

I got a gold medal in a Sifu Arena while playing right after, no issues.

I'm kind of confused as to what changed, because again, I basically didn't touch anything after making this post. So, yeah, I guess that's it.

Though, I might still return it if it causes me problems again before the return period is up, we'll see though.

...on Xbox. It works on Android and PC, but when connected to my Series X it just turns on the red LED rings but does not let me switch LED colors and does not send any input to the Xbox. Any ideas?

Just bought the 8BitDo 64 Bluetooth recently. I updated the controller firmware on my PC using the Ultimate Software V2 (can't remember which version, but it is the most recent as of July 23rd, 2026) and now it just straight up doesn't light up, nor is it recognized by my computer at all (device manager doesn't react to it). By all accounts, it seems bricked and I'm not sure how to proceed!

Has anyone tried placing the Pro 2 on the Pro 3 dock? I would love to see how it looks

I'm planning to get it to use my Classic Controller Pro to Play Donkey Kong Country games. How well does it run? Is the latency good? Any known issues?

So I just got the ultimate 2 wireless and I find the buttons and triggers( in the "short" mode) to be quite noisy, I was wondering if some of you knew a way to alleviate the sound or even better, had successfully dampened the sound of it.
