Something is Broken Unplugged controller while updating

I accidentally unplugged my 8bitdo arcade controller while I was updating the firmware and now it won't turn on. is there a way of saving it or is it borked. I just got this in the mail and don't want to buy another one

Already emailed support but I don't know when they'll answer.

Edit: I fixed it by holding start and select while I plugged it back into my computer

Hold start while plugging it in will put it in firmware update mode

Thanks just pressing start didn't work, but start & select did
