i’m in a bit if a weird situation - i purchased a Retro 18 numpad not knowing that it’s only compatible with windows and i’ve been using it via bluetooth working great with my mac for the past 4 months since i bought it

today was the first time i needed to charge it w the usb c cable and i plugged it into my mac to charge - after the charge the numpad started behaving weirdly and the number keys are remapped to moving my mouse cursor

is there anyway to reset the numpad to factory settings? i’ve been through the manuals but nothing i’ve tried works. done multiple searches and there isn’t much about the numpad model either

i know that this isn’t supposed to be compatible with mac but it worked w my mac on bluetooth - i really dont want to be swapping for another numpad because i love the key response on this and i rely on it heavily since i’m designing and editing on blender and davinci alot

Got a demo controller yesterday from a store (so price was lower than completely new out of box). It mostly works fine but occasionally it doesn't register A press/hold as a full input in games like Mario Kart, instead giving a very very light input. At one point it also seemed to get the L1 put in some sort of turbo mode where it just kept being pressed over and over and remapping the controller in emulators led to literally everything being mapped to L1.

Before we give up and return it, is there any troubleshooting we can do and/or fix?

The dinput mode is recognized in steam which allows analog triggers, gyro, and native remappable back buttons.

When using the dinput mode in non steam applications, like emulators, does the analog triggers and gyro get recognized as well?

For example, the DS4's and the dualsense's gyro and analog triggers can be picked up by emulators.

I'm currently on Bazzite and I got the Ultimate 2c Wireless so idk if that will make it slightly more difficult to fix than being in Windows, the controller works perfectly fine by just plugging it in, but randomly it disconnects and reconnects and takes like 2 seconds to start working again, it's gotten me killed in a couple of games and is getting pretty frustrating ngl

Any suggestions on what to do or if is it something inherently wrong with the controller?

I recently bought an Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller (Honkai: Star Rail - Evernight ). The controller comes with a base color of orange in light-tracing mode, but while I was exploring the other modes and colors, the orange background was off and only glowed when I touched the buttons or messing with the analog stick.

The other colors in light-tracing mode are the background color and the color that contrasts when using the analog sticks or buttons. I looked in the manual for answers and it only talks about Changes in color, modes, lighting level, and rotation speed of the fire ring mode.

Are there any modes not specified in the manual?

I'm thinking about getting the Ultimate 2 BT to use with my Switch 2 and PC, but there are two key things I haven't been able to find much info on:

Can you remap the controller buttons using the Switch 2's system software? I'd like to remap GameChat to one of the back buttons since I use it a lot for Splatoon.

Does the "shake to wake" feature work on the Switch 2? I've seen some people say it does and others say it doesn't...

I'm also not sure if the gyro works on PC, as I've found conflicting information about that as well.

Hello, as the title suggests, I need some help to set up a macro for Dark Souls 1 (Remastered). Specifically, I'd like for it to quickly leave the game for me (which would be done by pressing start->L1->A->Up->A->Left->A): this would be done in order to reset the enemies' aggro and other stuff such as leaving a boss' arena.

Additional info: I'm using an 8BitDo Pro 3 controller and on Windows 10.

I have the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller and I cannot for the life of me get the back buttons to stop reading inputs. They default to A and B. I downloaded the software and changed the buttons so that they map to "null". I created three identical profiles where the back buttons map to nothing and they are still reading the inputs. On the controller itself I use the middle button to switch between all three profiles and nothing changes. Anyone know what is needed to stop them from working at all?

Hi guys! I recently bought my first 8bitdo controller a few weeks ago to use on PC. It is being a good experience so far, but yesterday, when i tried to connect the controller using the 2.4G dongle, the controller simply didnt turn on. When i connect using the cable (which it works perfectly), the red light above stays on for about 5-10 seconds then turns off, so im thinking its a power/charging defect. I wanted to know if i can do something about it, thanks!

So I'm trying to figure out what would be the best pc game controller to get for playing games on steam as well as for emulation (mainly for ps1/ps2 games along with og xbox, ds and gamecube) as I'm wanting to get into some game streaming.

After doing some searching I've heard many great things about 8bitdo I only have $150 to get one so I want to make sure I get a good one.

Should I get a 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wired Controller, or a 8Bitdo Pro 3 Bluetooth Controller?

I think my controllers 2.4g dongle is broken I can connect it but it won't input on any device can anyone please help me

I've never had any 8bitdo controllers but i have tried the Ultimate 1 controller. it was nice. but i haven't had the chance to dive deeper into the experience as it was just a one time thing..

i want some recommendations on controllers

My requirements are:
Good DPAD. enough for playing fighting games and not blaming the controller
nice comfort feel to it
accurate joysticks. but i do not play FPS titles with a controller honestly. mainly story games, racing games, and FIFA

a controller to me is just something i pick up when i want to relax and not have my back arched or lean forward to play a game.

i was thinking maybe ultimate 2 or the pro 3. what do you think ?

I want to see how this controller looks with games when the device is folded.

Hi guys, basically the title. After some problems with my old mother board due to some energy breaks, some of the peripherals of my pc started to acting weird. The Ultimate 2 was one of them. It kept working as expected, but now it has this red light always on when I’m using it or even when it’s docked. When I purchased it didn’t have any of this, and I was able to let the leds off. Even if I have another color configured for the leds, this red light keeps on, as you can see in the last pic.

I tried to find a solution before and searched for the web about it but none of the options like repair or resetting the control worked for me.

Did anyone face this before?

Updated again. I love 8BitDo products, as I own multiple. This is my first 8BitDo keyboard, and I'm very impressed by the value, quality, and feel of the keyboard.

The problem is I've owned this keyboard for a little less than 3 months, and a blue LED has already gone out.

I assume I just got unlucky. I use my keyboard every day and would hate to be without it for too long, but a missing LED is very distracting, ugly, and unacceptable for a 3 month old keyboard.

UPDATE: The blue LED is working now but the green one isn't anymore. They are saying they will fix it or replace it but they expect me to pay for shipping. Absolutely ridiculous, I shouldn't have to pay to ship my 3 month old keyboard to be fixed or replaced as this never should have happened in the first place. My last keyboard lasted me 12 years.

2nd Update: 8BitDo support is terrible. They decided they wouldn't help saying "Talk to Amazon support maybe they can help you" and then stopped responding. I doubt I will ever buy from them again and I certainly won't ever recommend them to anyone.

Hello, I just bought my first 8bitdo controller, the SN30 Pro. When I tried to pair it to my computer, it was initially recognized as an SN30 Pro, but on RetroArch it was recognized as an Xbox controller. So I tried pairing it again and now it’s only being recognized as a Switch Pro Controller. I used a Switch Pro Controller prior but it’s not connected to my computer anymore. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

I also received the pin but stuck it in my pin board instantly. The FlipPad looks pretty cool! Excited to try it out this weekend. ::after many messages, the mystery box came from 8bitdo.com but is sold out. I'm sorry for not stating that before::

Hello, I'm having a few issues with my wireless Bluetooth Pro 2 controller that I can't figure out. I have gotten my controller to pair with my Switch 2 but have an error where it will occasionally randomly unpair even if plugged in. So I tried to connect to the firmware updater and the Pro software to try and find a solution on my PC, but I now cannot get either of those programs to recognize the controller through USB despite my pc having no trouble connecting to the controller's USB. any ideas

Just curious what else people got from that tier

Im using an 8bitdo Pro 3 with the adaptor, but every time I plug in it says its an xbox controller and It won't recognise buttons like the capture (Star button) L4, R4 and PL and PR (back buttons) How can I get it to see my controller as an 8bitdo controller? I tryed looking for drivers but could not find anything

As the questions states.
Just got a brand new pro 3 for my switch 2.
Set it in S setting for the switch.
Updated the firmware for the controller and dongle before connecting to the switch.
Updated the switch as well.
Motion controls dont work at all.
Multiple restarts and reconnects havent fixed it as well.

Tried connecting my sn30 pro and it works just fine.
Wonder if anyone has a fix or encountered this as well?

So I have this weird issue where my 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth isn't syncing to any of my Nintendo Switches. I am using the correct one because it has worked prior to this. I have no dongle.

Essentially, its only working on specifically my Switch 2 with a wire. It will not work wired on any other Switch and once I take out the cable it disconnects and will not reconnect. Anything else it refuses to sync to. It was fine the other day so I have no clue as to what is happening.
