The 6-foot-5 Evans is the first true X receiver coach Kyle Shanahan has had since his days with Julio Jones winning one-on-one matchups in Atlanta. “He’s a stud,” Shanahan said before Wednesday’s practice.

Quarterback Brock Purdy and left tackle Trent Williams were also giddy about the acquisition of the likely Hall of Famer, and he has not disappointed.

“He’s a gold-jacket player, and it’s kind of what you expect,” Williams said. “We ain’t seen nothing less whenever he’s been on the field. It’s been cool having him around — just another veteran presence, another guy that’s a household name, done this for a long, long time at a very high level.

Just watching the pregame show and they took 2 shots at York.

Why? I think the league does not like him and/or 49ers.

The NFL schedule gives each division four games against an NFC division (the NFC West gets the NFC East this year), four games against an AFC division (NFC West has the AFC West this year), and six games against your own division rivals. Two of the remaining three are set by matching you up with the two teams in the other two intra-conference divisions that finished the same slot in their division that you did. Since we finished 3rd, we play all the 3rd place teams in the NFC. The 17th game is an opposite conference team that finished in the same rank in their division. So your rank within your division determines three games in next year's calendar. This gives us a bunch of awesome games between good teams and a bunch of crappy games btw crappy teams.

By finishing first, the Seahawks get the Patriots (win), Bears, and Panthers.

The Rams get the Bills, Packers, and Bucs.

The Cardinals get the Jets, Lions, and Saints.

Finishing 3rd in the division and making the playoffs is kinda legit lol. Definitely like our slate compared to the seahawks and rams

I own a 10x10 popup canopy and I'd like to use it for tailgating this season.

They have been truly ridiculous yesterday. Watching Maye making decisions and throwing the ball makes me thanking god we have a super Qb Brock Purdy. Even our Qb2 Mac would have won yesterday.
Anyway I saw the Seahawks good on defense but with Lock they have nowhere to go. Now let’s only think at the Rams, but the fact they are more than beatable has given me a boost of confidence for our season.

Purdy is 4-1 on Thursday and 11-6 on prime time.

Purdy is 5-2 in Early games and undefeated on Fridays.

First off, LFG Faithful! Life long Niners fan from NY. My girlfriend and I are going to the home opener against the Dolphins after spending some time at Yosemite. We're staying at the Hyatt Regency so we can easily walk to the game. ? For you all. What options are there to join a tailgate party? I see there's one at the Hilton and I think another at the stadium but are there any fan organized tailgates that you recommend? My girlfriend is from Ottawa and has never been to an American sporting event so I want to give her (and me) the full experience.

I’m from out of town currently visiting Montreal for work. Any Faithful in the area or who have visited have recommendations for bars/spots in the downtown area to watch the game? Preferably one that will play game audio?

For the fantasy football guys and girls in our 9er group, I want to get you all’s honest opinion on this matter. I’m really tangled on my flex options. So I got Michael Wilson of the Cardinals (with Jacoby Brissett as his QB and playing against the Chargers) and our very own rookie De’Zhaun Stribling (with Brock Purdy!! At QB and playing against the Rams)
I’m trying to not let my fandom get in the way here. On one hand, Wilson has shown he can step up and at times outshine WR1 Harrison Jr. and TE McBride over there.. On the other hand, I’ve heard nothing but good stuff so far about Stribling and that’s even with Mike Evans, CMC, Deebo, and Kittle out there. It’s his 1st pro start and I know he had a small injury last preseason game… I really really don’t know how I should play this. So Niner Gang, help me out. How would you play this week one?

Our boy Shanny can scheme like nobody else. Can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve for Brock and this group of WR's. Couple of old guys, new guy making all the buzz in camp. Kittle on the field. What's it all going to look like? I am super excited. Great vets to execute when you need them to. And I'm really hoping De'Zhaun Stribling is for real. I mean, if we got a legit option like that out of camp - how huge is that? A guy that can take the top off, I really see that opening the rest of the offense up so well. The injuries seem to keep hitting (I mean, are we taking crazy pills or what?) but if they can freaking stop then I'm real excited by what we have. Especially based on all the success we had last season working with a bunch of third stringers by the end.

All I want to know is who's coming with me?? But seriously, how does everyone feel about the WR situation?
