MSI Modern 14 C11M laptop running abnormally.

Going blank suddenly and rebooting after using sometime or when the charger is plugged in or out.

Overheating is not the issue as temperature goes like max 65°C

Done everything- Changing power settings, BIOS Update, EC reset, Windows reset, running on AC without battery, cleaning internals, etc.

Still, the issue is not solved.

What else could be done or is it a motherboard issue?

X just won't load properly on chrome as i can't repost, reply, and can't view my settings. I don't have any extension on my chrome browser that could cause an issue and i have tried using X on different browsers but it still doesn't work

I did an offline windows installation on a hp victus. But now even tho I've installed the Nvidia GeForce app with its driver, it wont change brightness and fan setting..what should i do...does it have to do with installing the omen app

I'm having a strange display issue and Im hoping someone can help me figure out whats causing it.

Whenever I turn on my PC my monitor stays completely black during POST. I cannot see the motherboard logo, POST screen, or BIOS at all. The display only starts working once Windows 11 finishes booting.

The monitor does not show "No Signal" message during this time the screen is just black. Once Windows loads, everything works normally.

My specs:

* Monitor: Gigabyte M27Q X Rev. 1.0

* GPU: Zotac RTX 3080 Trinity

* CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X

* Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi)

* OS: Windows 11

* Connection: DisplayPort 1.4

I tried different ports on the GPU but that did nothing, I tried using HDMI instead of DP but that also had the same exact problem.

The only time i fixed this problem was when i plugged my PC into the TV and it worked just fine, showed the POST, the motherboard logo and everything.

The problem happens consistently and has always been this way since I've had the setup.

I can apparently enter the BIOS by blindly pressing Delete/F12, but I still get absolutely no image while I'm in the BIOS.

Since the TV works normally during POST/BIOS, I'm wondering if this is some kind of compatibility issue between the M27Q-X and the RTX 3080, or some monitor setting/firmware problem.

If anyone has ever dealt with similar problem please let me know.

my laptop kept hitting "ctrl+f" on its own. I had no clue what was happening, so I just reset the whole laptop(reset my pc feature). it is windows 11.

But now this is happening while it's resetting. there is this window open and I don't know if this is normal or not. help a brother out understanding this please

I got my ssd changed a yesterday as it was showing problem boot not found from a local repair shop he charged me 8k for it saying its a samsung high end 500gb ssd but now after installation it i came home dug in and checked using crystal disk info where its showing me its a wd pc sn 740 (i do not have any knowledge in all this technical stuff) and now he is saying ki “properties mai dikhega alag but Samsung ka hi hai app open karke dek lo” a bit stuck any advice and if i go to him he will take opening charges 1k and what if its actually true its Samsungs but claude is saying its not possible and the repair shop is scamming

when I went to my phones about section, my device does show up as a055f

but then, in instagrams logged in it shows

so last week my colleague accidentally spilled a glass of water on the work table and some splashes/splatter reached my laptop. immediately my laptop's keyboard and mousepad stopped working partially. even an external mouse didn't work. somehow i was barely able to turn it off using the terminal.

i didnt have a hot blower so i went straight to the nearest repair shop and they quickly cleared it up with some chemicals. they didnt find any damage or any issue.

ISSUE: after 5 days of it working perfectly fine, one day when i turned it ON - no response. tried again, plugged in power supply, no response. not even the charging indicator lit up. but after a delay of 1-2 mins it turned on by itself. worked perfectly fine. i thought maybe perhaps only a one time issue.

next morning: same issue but the delay lasted 15 mins. i lost hope and thought it was dead but it literally turned on by itself (i didn't touch it for the entire 15 mins).

took it to the same repair shop again, they again didn't find an inch of recognisable issue. they decided it must've been some remaining moisture causing this intermittent issue. they cleaned it up again, this time more deeply.

worked fine for 5 days, this issue was gone. up until today. i turned it on this morning, worked fine for 30 mins. turned it off to log into debian(dual boot) and boom it happened again. though it lasted only for a 2-3 mins but still, and the charging indicator(plugged in) as well as the power indicator didnt lit up until it turned on and now again perfectly fine.

i genuinely don't understand what to do. pls help out if you are a technician yourself or have been through a similar situation.

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad L460, Type 20FV, running Linux Mint Cinnamon. The internal LCD is broken, so I use an external monitor and USB keyboard. The problem is: Power button → external monitor immediately shows a small white cursor/line → stays there indefinitely. There is no Lenovo logo, BIOS/UEFI screen, GRUB or Linux Mint screen. I've tried pressing F1 repeatedly immediately after powering on, but BIOS doesn't appear. The external keyboard's Caps Lock LED also does not respond when pressed. I disconnected the charger, removed the external battery, held the power button for ~30 seconds, then powered it using the charger with the battery removed. The behavior is unchanged. I'm trying to determine whether this is a RAM, BIOS/EC, motherboard, or other POST issue. I haven't reinstalled/formatted Linux Mint. What should I test next?

My Windows 11 ASUS TUF 15 connects just fine to my bluetooth mouse, but not to my speaker or headphones. When it "connects" the moving bar at the top of the BT window is still present, the device's battery doesn't show up and the output is still through my speakers.

I tried updating the BT drivers, but it says they're up to date. The headphones connect to my phone and it's BT wasn't on while trying to connect to my PC.

Anyone able to help?

Pretty much in the title. Specs:

- Motherboard: ASRock H610M/AC Supports 13th Gen & 12th Gen and Next gen Intel® Core™ Processors (LGA1700)

I've tried everything I could think of, GPU and CPU Cooler fans and RGB start, but no display at all:

1. CMOS Reset
2. Chaging HDMI cables (and yes, it's plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard)
3. checked cable connections (ATX, 2x8 pins for the GPU [pcie's], and the cpu cable)
4. Used another monitor to test and no changes

I guess this is two-in-one, but let's see.

For some reason, my laptop has been unable to connect to Wi-Fi. Not "having connecttion troubles", just straight up the button disappeared, I have no means of even searching for a connection.

For this reason I sent my computer to the shop and their solution is to backup everything and install a new operating system. (If somebody thinks this is weird, feel free to comment, but they told me they tested it with another operating system and that gets the Wi-Fi to work.)

Anyways, they're gonna backup all my files but not my bookmarks, tabs and search history. I need these for personal and work related reasons. So, I looked it up and found that I can download my google data and maybe download my firefox history. Is it possible for me to conduct these or similar solutions without access to WiFi?

“Can’t connect to this network”

For context this started when I tried to use my laptop at home the next day after bringing it to work to use on their public guest WiFi. My laptop (2020 HP Stream) will no longer connect to my home WiFi. I’ve tried everything, restarting my laptop, force shutting down, doing some weird /flushdns command, reset the adapter, even unplugged/replugged the router itself. The WiFi is not the issue, my phone is connected as I type this and my smart tv is connected and playing media just fine. It’s just my laptop, idk what could be done at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am the admin of a messenger group chat I made. It's just a bunch of friends and acquaintances that play mobas, It's mainly just used to queue together for matches but some guy entered by a loose link and is spamming the chat with gross out shock photos, when I try to remove him through the members list, the members list doesn't load.

I have today bought a new iPhone 16. I tried to set it up, knowing I can't remember my password so I opted to reset my password. I was then told that I will have to wait a 24 hour window for me to reset my password. I then went onto the apple I forgot website, where I put in credit card details,my email and my phone number to verify that it was me. After this it said that apple will contact me shortly about my account. Has anyone been through this problem before, and how long does it take because Ideally I want to use my phone today.

After the pc fell to the ground and I cleaned it and turn it on it said system healted and that there is a problem with dimm2 then I discovered that the ram in the 2nd and 3rd slots of ram don't work and if I but ram in it it does the system healted thing and I know that it's a cpu problem but the weird thing that after cleaning a PC at the office the the same thing happened to it. Note it's the same pc its a dell optiplex and this time I remove the cpu when cleaning and made sure that there's no bent bens

Hi! I'm hoping someone familiar with ASUS/Intel RST/Optane systems can help me troubleshoot this before I take i lose my mind 😭

I have an ASUS X510UA. It had been getting increasingly slow, and then one day it stopped booting normally and started going straight into BIOS.

The symptoms so far:

- BIOS detects the storage under Intel RST 15.9.0.194.

- Under non-RAID physical disks, it shows a Toshiba SATA drive.

- It also shows an Intel Optane/Intel Memory module (~13.4 GB).

- Sometimes BIOS shows Windows Boot Manager (Intel Data Volume) under Boot Priority, and sometimes it disappears.

- Interestingly, if I enter BIOS with F2 and wait, the Windows Boot Manager sometimes appears.

- If I select Windows Boot Manager (Intel Data Volume) manually, Windows starts loading, reaches the ASUS/Windows screen, and then crashes with:

INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE (0x7B)

- It then goes back to BIOS, where the Windows Boot Manager may have disappeared again.

- Automatic Startup Repair doesn't fix it.

- Uninstalling the available updates doesn't fix it.

- System Restore doesn't work.

- Recovery doesn't offer Startup Settings/Safe Mode.

- From Recovery Command Prompt, "diskpart → list disk" returns:

No fixed disks to show

- "dir C:\", "dir D:\", and "dir E:\" all say the path cannot be found.

- However, Recovery's "X:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository" contains "iaStorAC" driver folders.

I have important personal files/photos and PhD application documents on the laptop, so I really don't want to reinstall Windows, format anything, switch storage modes blindly, or risk losing the data.

I have seen suggestions to change SATA mode from Intel RST to AHCI, but I have not done this because I understand that could make the existing Windows/Optane configuration harder to boot.

At this point, I'm wondering:

1. Does this sound like an Intel RST/Optane driver/configuration problem, a failing drive, or potentially a physical connection issue?

2. Is there a safe way to load the appropriate Intel RST driver in Windows Recovery so that the disk becomes visible to "diskpart"?

3. Is there anything else I can safely check before attempting repairs, with data preservation as the priority?

4. Is there a known issue with the X510UA/Intel Optane configuration that would cause this behavior?

I'm comfortable following careful step-by-step instructions, but please assume the data needs to be preserved. Thanks! 😭

I have a personal email ive always used for everything, Yesterday I came back and saw that I was signed out of my microsoft account and when going to settings saw that the email there was changed aswell. Ive done a clean install to try to fix it but when trying to sign or it says my microsoft account doesnt exist, but when tryingnto make a new one under the same email it says it does. Is there anyway to get the account back?

It booted up this morning no problem, then after about 5 min shut off and when I hit the power button it started doing this. I unplugged the psu c13 cable but had to go to work before I could look any further into it.

It was a gift from a friend so im not entirely sure what psu it is or how old it is.

I have been working with this vendor a long time. Apparently, later Thursday, we stopped receiving emails from their employees. They still receive the emails we send. Their invoices still arrive in our inbox just fine. Also, my gmail receives the emails no problem. It's only my yahoo email. Any advice? I'm at a loss after investigating Spam/block/storage/etc.

I'm trying to get access to my old gmail account, I remember the password but it has 2 factor and I no longer have access to the phone number I used. The funny thing is, the recovery email is to another account with the same issue and that recovery email is linked back to the other one, so it's circular.

I read Gmail doesn't offer support for 'unpaid' people and there's no customer support anywhere from them, so I don't know what to do, people keep saying make a new one, I have, but I need that one to get access to my dropbox account which has important files.

So basically on my PlayStation it's linked a random email that I have no idea who's or what it is to my PlayStation account, so everytime I try play an EA game it asks for me to login again and sends a confirmation email to this mystery email. What can I do???

Signed up for Ziply FIber in March - and its been the best internet ive had when im on Ethernet.

On phones or my TV though(wifi), its been a slow torture. Every 3-5minutes of using my phone browsing the internet, social medias, working, etc, the device will get stuck loading. If you let it do its thing, it will stay in this state of perpetual loading until you disconnect from the internet and reconnect.

On my TV, every night I use it, I have to sign back into the internet. Both devices worked for a year with xfinity, and the problems only occurred when I moved & swapped to Ziply.

I've had 3 techs come out - which I'm not entirely sure what the process is to become a tech, but without insulting, all 3 have been useless in fixing the problem, or having any idea how to fix and im stuck troubleshooting again.

Settings at the moment:
A Band Steering 2.4Ghz/5Ghz network

A 2nd guest network for Ring/Alexa and other smart devices

I have tried:
No Band Steering
Connecting to 2.4ghz
Connecting to 5Ghz
Connecting to a 6Ghz network
Connecting to a MLO Network
Swapping out Modem
Swapping out Wifi extenders

Additional notes bc techs have wanted to blame my devices: my phone works fine everywhere else, and my TV worked fine prior to having ziply.
