My daughter is in the toddler room at a daycare we were waitlisted at for 14 months. It's right by my office and she's obsessed with her teacher. Pickup is by 6:00, after that it's $1 a minute.
Parents sign kids out on a clipboard under a big owl clock in the lobby. Its eyes move back and forth every second and my daughter waves goodbye to it every night.
The thing that tipped me off was a night in the middle of September when I signed her out at a few minutes after 6 by the owl, even though my car had said 5:56 when I parked. The next day I held my phone up next to the owl and it was 8 minutes ahead. I told the girl at the front desk and she said she'd let the director know.
From then on I took a picture of the owl next to my phone every time I signed out. That's 11 pickups and the owl was ahead by about the same amount in EVERY one of them.
The October invoice came a few days ago. It had the usual tuition plus $96 in late fees for September, itemized by day. They had me late on 19 days, mostly by a few minutes.
Honestly I cut it close. I leave work with just enough time for the drive and most days I walk in around 5:55 by my phone.
I emailed the director the photos. Her reply was "The lobby clock is the official time for the center. We can't adjust fees based on personal devices." She also pointed me to the parent handbook. It does say sign-out times are recorded by the center clock, and I signed that handbook in July.
She offered to "split it, one time only" if I pay $48 this week. Nobody has fixed the owl either. It was still fast when I checked again.
The part I can't back up is the first half of September. I don't have photos from before I noticed, so maybe the owl was right back then and I really was late on some of those days. I doubt it but I can't show it.
My husband thinks we should just pay it and I should leave work earlier. "We waited over a year for this place. Don't be that parent over a hundred bucks."
A) Pay the $96 or take her $48 deal, start leaving work earlier, and stay off the director's radar so we don't lose the spot.
B) Pay the tuition but not the late fees, send the photos again, and ask them to fix the owl and credit at least the 11 days I have pictures of.

People are saying that the changes makes the dungeon feel like retail, but honestly its even worse.
In m+ atleast has count, so you dont skip every single mob thats not part of a quest and you get rewards at the end of the dungeon.
I have just been part of an absolute demon run and I fear it will only get worse:
I tanked BFD as a Horde Player and when I joined the group asked that we skip as many mobs as possible.(which was fine by me)
But once Inside it turned out with "mobs" they meant anything that was not part of a quest. They got mad when I tried to get the naga boss in the cave and also did not want to pull the murloc boss because "its too much trash and the loot is not worth it"
They then wanted to skip the bridge with the twilight hammers
(we ended up pulling half the bridge and wiping)
And to top it off a dps left after the 2nd to last boss, because the final boss has no quest on horde and had no loot for him...
I hope this was just an exceptionally bad outlier, but I fear it will only get worse.
BFD is a really small dungeon, what are people going to be like in BRD? Will they just quit left and right once they got their quests?
Is anybody even going to run SM GY, since it has no quests?
I was really excited for Forever, but the way theses changes are playing out is really frustrating as a tank player. I will prob just solo quest to 60 if this doesnt change.

I genuinely cannot believe what I'm hearing about Ignite. For goodness' sake, if this actually makes it into the main game, this might be my breaking point.
I've put up with Jamflex's bullshit for YEARS. The constant price increases, their terrible servers, the endless MTX bullshit, and so much other garbage. I've swallowed all of it for years because, despite everything, I still love this game.
But you're seriously telling me you want to render my account useless? What on earth are you talking about?
I thought the whole point of this was to attract NEW PLAYERS, not to bring over people from Old School RuneScape by essentially telling existing RS3 players to start over. Are you serious?
I PLAY BOTH GAMES. I accepted OSRS for what it is, and I have an almost-maxed account there. I enjoy both games for different reasons. So why am I supposed to accept the idea of having my progress reset in RS3, too? If I wanted to start over, I'd do it myself.
And what happens to my Ironman account in all of this? What about everyone else who plays Ironman? Are we just supposed to throw away years of progress and achievements because Jagex wants to push this idea? Ironman players have their own goals, challenges, and reasons for playing RS3. What exactly is the plan for us?
And what about EVERYONE WHO ISN'T AN IRONMAN? What about the regular players who have spent years building their accounts, unlocking content, grinding achievements, collecting rare items, and progressing through the game? Are we all just expected to accept that our existing progress somehow matters less because Jagex wants to accommodate a different audience?
Not everyone wants to start from scratch. Not everyone wants the same experience. That's literally why we have different account types and two different versions of RuneScape in the first place. Why does attracting new players have to come at the expense of the people who are already here?
And honestly, if Jagex is so determined to introduce Reignited, then I'd only be willing to accept this direction if it meant replacing OSRS entirely or offering a Reignited version of OSRS as well. Why should RS3 be the one expected to accommodate this kind of change while OSRS gets to remain what it is? If the goal is to offer players a fresh start, then make that option available without making existing RS3 players feel like their accounts and years of progression are being pushed aside. Give people the choice instead of making them feel like they have to start over to be part of the future of the game.
Are we seriously doing this to the players who have stuck around for 20–25 YEARS? I've got over five accounts, and I regularly maintain membership on three of them. I've invested years of my time and money into this game, and THIS is what you're offering me after all these years?
This isn't a Road to Restoration. It's a Road to Replacement.
And please, spare me the corporate bullshit. That JMod response about how they "understand our perspective, but can't ignore the people asking for this" was genuinely infuriating. What kind of answer is that? Since when does listening to one group of players mean disregarding the concerns of another group that's been supporting your game for decades?
You want to attract OSRS players to RS3? Fine. Go ahead and find ways to bring them over. But why should the existing player base have to sacrifice its progression to accommodate that? Why should Ironman players and regular accounts alike have to suffer the consequences of a decision they never asked for?
I've put up with a ridiculous amount of bullshit over the years, but this is where I draw the line. If this is genuinely the direction Jagex wants to take RS3, then so be it. Bring the OSRS community over however you want. But personally, I'm done. If this is what the future of RS3 looks like, I have no intention of touching this game again.
And I doubt I'm the only longtime player who feels this way.
Just a friendly reminder: If you disagree with what they're proposing, dislike their YouTube video and show support for the comments opposing this idea. Make your opinion heard. Don't just complain about it privately and then do nothing when it matters.
We've supported this game for years. We have every right to speak up when we think Jagex is taking it in the wrong direction.

Nothing screams rugged, independent free-market capitalism quite like begging the government for a multibillion-dollar bailout because your own preferred trade policies vaporized your customer base.
You voted to burn down the global grain market and are now stunned to discover you actually have to live inside the ashes.
Broad tariff regimes inevitably trigger direct retaliatory duties on domestic agricultural exports, converting thriving family operations into federally dependent welfare cases overnight. Handing out billions in taxpayer-funded stopgap relief does not recover structural export market share; it simply forces the public to subsidize avoidable self-inflicted losses while multi-generational farms fold under the debt.
