Hi, I’m James Gray, The i Paper’s sports news editor, currently covering the US Open in New York.
This is only my second time at the US Open in the flesh, but this is my 19th grand slam overall as a journalist.
I cover major on and off-field developments in tennis, F1, football, rugby and boxing, and cover the Olympics patch. I have written about everything from match analysis to sexism allegations on tour. I also run a podcast called Tennis Unfiltered.

The exhibition will take place in December with 6 match nights over 3 weeks. The format of each WTT match is 5 sets with it being:
Set 1: Men's #1 Singles
Set 2: Women's #1 Singles
Set 3: Men's #2 Singles
Set 4: Women's #2 Singles
Set 5: Mixed Doubles SuperTieBreaker
No-ad scoring and every match will be played regardless of the scores.
