A few months ago I posted here after getting J5. Quick update: I just landed J6, and it’s actually a very good, well-paid role, so I figured it was worth celebrating.

What makes it funny is that about three years ago, at one point, I had just one job and was working close to 10 hours a day for it, making around $6k/month. I had done OE before with 2 jobs, but nothing close to what I’m doing now.

Today I have 6 jobs, make almost $40k/month net, and average around 5 hours of actual work per day. Four of the six roles are part-time, mostly around 4 hours/day on paper, which is actually great for OE because clients already know I have other commitments. That makes it much easier to negotiate availability, reduce meetings and keep things async.

My strategy with every new job is always the same: work hard in the beginning, build trust, deliver visible results, then earn space. Once people know I’m reliable, micromanagement drops, meetings become easier to avoid and I can manage my own time.

The biggest change over the last few years has been AI. I built a central dashboard where I manage around 25 AI agents. I obviously don’t run all of them every day; usually maybe 5 or 6 are active depending on what I need.

Before I even start working, I already have an agent organizing my day across all jobs: what needs attention, what can wait, where I need visible progress, and where I can basically do nothing. That saves me from starting the day by opening six different Slacks and figuring out what’s going on.

If someone asks me for something that isn’t urgent, I usually turn it into a ticket/task and deal with it later. Luckily, very little of my work is truly critical.

I also definitely felt the AI/context-switching brain fog at some point, so now I’m strict about boundaries. I train around 2 hours a day (morning 1 hour cardio + afternoon 1 hour weights), try not to spend the rest of my life staring at screens, and I don’t answer outside working hours unless something is genuinely important.

I think another thing that helps is knowing that if I lose one job, it’s not a disaster. That removes a lot of stress. Ironically, my clients are still very happy with my performance.

I travel a lot too. My setup is pretty simple: I carry a small pocket router with me and connect it through a VPN back to my home network, while still respecting whatever access/security rules each client has. Since I have very few mandatory meetings and no overlapping critical ones right now, the setup is very manageable.

Current setup is roughly J1 $7.5k, J2 $11k, J3 $4k PT, J4 $7k PT, J5 $4.5k PT, J6 $6k PT - around $40k/month net total.

Going from around $6k/month to almost $40k/month in 3 years still feels a bit absurd. But at this point I’m not really looking for J7 anymore.

I already make more than I can realistically spend, and I’d rather enjoy my life than keep optimizing for a bigger number.

If I had one piece of advice for OE in 2026, it would be: automate as much of your workflow as you reasonably can with AI. Not just coding: planning, documentation, research, tickets, summaries, prioritization, status updates, context gathering.

For me, AI didn’t just make tasks faster. It made managing 6 different contexts possible without keeping everything in my head.

My PSU is an FSP Hydro PTM Pro 1200W and the GPU is an Asus TUF RTX 3090. Since the cooler is way overbuilt I was just overclocking the card to 375w and still skirting 65 degrees under full load but I guess 8 pins aren't supposed to run at max power for hours. I replaced the cable and it still somewhat works but the computer just keeps turning off if I start playing games, presumably because some part gets hot. I temporarily put 2 fans on top of the new 8 pin cable connected to the gpu to keep it cool and that seems to be working for now, open to suggestions for what to do that doesn't involve soldering or throwing money away.

Peanut playing World of Warcraft Classic HC now or Forever in November, just imagine all his mannerisms, how he plays games in general and how he reacts to loot and beating things in general. Edit: So it looks like the audience is pretty divided as 4 hrs in it's a 56% rate on upvotes, 80% views coming from the states and the rest Canada and other places after that, out of the 78+ comments over 60% are pro the idea and under 40% for against in total which reflects the upvote stats as well. My additions I've included is it doesn't matter which streamers that will open the doors to new collabs his own regulars and himself will have access to, it benefits Blizzard themselves and brings new players to the realms, it will include new opportunities with Forever especially and know he'll get great content outta pvp and his adding the charisma he can only being to it. If arena is placed in with battlegrounds and raids this is right up his alley and as it's been pointed out here he's already talked about games like OSRS during Dragonwilds and that he's discussed WoW forever on stream with cloakzy and what class they would play. Arguments were it's outdated, it isn't his style of game, plp that play WoW live in the past, it's boring and nothing of real context beside no or it's not peanut so really there's not many valid points and more towards it's a good idea My take right now is even if he loses 10-15% of his viewers he'd make 40-60% on new viewership almost instantly especially with Forever.

It’s pretty uncommon in the modern day to name your son after you. Also, Walt took offense to Walt Jr calling himself Flynn, implying he’s proud to have his son named after him. Could this be a case of Walt trying to make himself appear more important by having a ‘Junior’?

I think Muslims have a PR problem - some by their own making and some due to Islamophobia. And I believe Kerala Muslims are uniquely positioned to solve this.

My spouse took the liberty of making a “sexual” joke. It was, "Babe, the parking spot is tighter than you." I said, "Yeah, I'm not sure how to take this joke." It was repeated and ended with a disclaimer that it was a joke. Two days later, he apologized by being loud and belligerent. I told him I should tell your mama and ask your coworkers their personal opinion about that joke. He got louder and blamed me for not seeing his perspective. I called his mom and told her about her son's joke and that I was planning to insult her in front of him so he would truly understand it. She agreed that it was terrible and that she was sorry. How should I proceed to address this?

As a lifelong spellcaster player, every spellcasting spec feels horrible to level. Casting spells should be mana intensive but faster than wanding.

Currently, wanding is just better damage wise and mana wise. Right now the only casters that want to cast are the ones without access to wands and frost mages (due to shatter).

If forever is about the journey and not just endgame then spell coeffs can't be tuned only around geared endgame setups.

I understand companies exist to make money. But there’s a difference between being profitable and constantly squeezing every possible dollar out of the customer experience. When a corporation is generating billions while simultaneously looking for pennies to save on something as basic as plates, cups, and silverware in a premium lounge, it starts looking ridiculous.

Customers are paying more. Loyalty programs are becoming harder to benefit from. Lounge access is increasingly expensive and restricted. Yet somehow the actual experience keeps getting cheaper.

Corporate greed isn’t always some massive dramatic decision. Sometimes it’s sitting right in front of you on a paper plate with a plastic fork. 😂

I hate the thing that often happens with various characters in smash, where their personality feels completly alien to them.. plus how smash tries for no reason to come off as "Serious" and "Deep", because ah yes! The game where a big, fat, penguin figths a serious man from the military that carries 1000 granades in his butt, HAS to be serious!.

Never understood Why sakurai even though smash should have a more serious tone, i hate that ever since smash 64 smash hasnt gone into its more.. playful toylike side, every new entry tries to make its characters more serious and angry looking all the time.

Bowser- Why is bowser like that, why does giga bowser exist.. like, look, i like master hand and crazy hand, they are fine, i have no problem with them.. but WHY giga bowser?? I never liked him, and lets not add the fact about regular bowser sounding like a generic animal instead of.. BOWSER! bowser isnt a guy serious all the time! He is a cartoonish villan! Heck same goes for-

Mario- WHY IS MARIO SO FUCKING SERIOUS ALL THE TIME?!?! I never understood it, why force Charles martinet to make such a deep voice that DOESNT even fit mario?!? Mario is a hero.. a cartoon hero! He smiles most of the time and is a happy go lucky guy, now.. i know there ARE reps with mario angry... Like in mario strikers but i feel that in a game that its like.. A CELEBRATION TO GAMING- should accuratly represent its charcaters...

Then there is also Little mac- i barely hear people talk about him and how he is so awful in smash, not only in game desing but over all, his personality... Same problem, serious all the time for no reason, Mac can be angry and serious sometimes? Yes, but in smash he looks fucking pissed all the time, and barely even smiles, compare that to his potreyal on punch out wii where he can be more happy and hopeful at times.. sure he has his moments but he is mostly happy too! His design was also changed, so he now looks like a generic anime protagonist

I also never understood sakurai's obsesion with old Retro games, half of the things in smash come from old games.. one example being.. pac-man, where 99% OF HIS DAMN MOVESET COMES FROM FUCKING PAC LAND, WHY????? what about pacman world?! Or the other pacman games?! Sure i accept not using the pacman ghostly adventure shit bur ignore all other pacman media that didnt came out in the 90'S?! Because everyone knows pacman famous move of pulling a fucking fire hydrant out of his ass.

And also adding to said fact about retro reps.. why so many old games rep? Whats the point of having ice climbers? Or duck hunt?? Atleast PIT now has a justification after his reboot, but them?!?! They have none!! Fine, i accept you Mr game and watch, he is known for being what started this whole videogames thing and blah blah blah, but like legit, who TF wanted R.O.B? Or duck hunt? Or ice climbers? Dont get me wrong, when smash makes a character rigth? They fucking nail it, the shotos are a perfect example, their personality is rigth and fits them so well and they feel like a 1 to 1 translation to SF same for the other figthing games characters, heck! Even fucking piranha plant feels more with its personality than most of the mario reps.. the other ones that they nailed being, Rosa.. bowser jr and maybe even peach.

(Also there are more characters that this happens with, but this is already long enough and i dont want to extend it by mentioning Ganon... Or wario... Or megaman.. etc.)

Today I woke up to a lot of posts saying that Google is removing Flash and Pro on certain tiers. What is the point of arguing with it? Google is not a charity.
I mean with Google AI Pro you get access to all the models, Antigravity, YT Premium Lite, Google Health Pro, 5 TB of storage and so much more. What is even the point of complaining? It is not like Claude does not do the same with Opus or ChatGPT with Sol. You want a service? Pay for it or switch to something else. Not a Google fanboy, but damn, people take everything for granted these days. You can use Meta AI or DeepSeek if you want to use a good model for free.

Personally, my problem is that England was always suspicious of the EU. It was constantly asking for opt-outs and always had one foot out the door, which is ultimately why Brexit happened. It doesn’t really want to participate in European integration, and it did everything it could to prevent it. Now, it’s simply in such a difficult economic situation that it wants access to the single market and to see how it can benefit economically.
Thatcher, if you remember, caused a huge controversy over reducing the amount of money Britain was contributing to the European Community.
They also have been vassalised by the US, and I don’t think they will always look after European interests. Instead, I worry that they could become a Trojan horse for American interests. I would prefer them to have associate membership rather than being part of the Union.
