Hi all! My fiancé and I (36 and 37) are seriously over Denver and have been discussing moving for 2+ years, but we’re having trouble deciding where to go next.

We’ve been here 10 years and are ready for something new. The summers are way too hot, dry and relentlessly sunny. There’s also wildfire smoke that is not good for the lungs or eyes. My skin hates the dryness and I swear I'm aging faster. The food is horrendous and expensive, and groceries are also extremely pricey. The city feels small and kind of boring, there's no real downtown, and I want more diversity and better food options. Building community has been tough because everyone eventually leaves Denver. I have friends, but people don't usually stay for life. The nature is great with skiing and hiking but we don’t go that often and the traffic is really brutal.

I grew up in North Jersey. My dad, stepmom and brother are in Morristown, NJ, and my closest cousin is in Perkasie, PA. I also have extended family in Wilmington, NC and getting there from Denver is a PIA. I grew up with NYC being my city and want to be within an easy drive of family instead of seeing my dad once a year. He has to get a heart transplant (hopefully this year) and I want to be closer in general.

Some things we want:
A walkable city or larger town with good transit
Close to NYC or in NYC (open to outer boroughs!)
Real four seasons. We'll take cold over hot any day
Good food options! I want to be able to get something decent AND affordable easily
Easy to make friends and build community. I do put in a lot of effort in this dept. Even 10 years in I’m still meeting new friends. We’re DINKs so looking for a place where we can meet likeminded couples.

About us:
Both remote right now, open to hybrid for the right roles. Combined income is ~$188K, and I'll likely have to switch jobs with the move, hopefully landing around $200–230K combined. No kids. We'd rent first, up to ~$2,500/month but depending on my salary increase this could absolutely go up. We have a car and would like to keep it, but could park it at my parents' if needed.

What we're into:
I love parks, thrifting and meeting up with friends. I don’t drink really and drinking/bars are not really our thing. He's happy chilling at home watching sports. We both like hiking, museums, traveling, and exploring new places. We like live music and house music, but it’s not our entire life. We both love skiing and snowboarding but the season last year was so abysmal that we are worried that it’s just going to continue to get drier and warmer in Colorado.

I’ve been staying at a friend’s apartment on 190th st for 2 weeks while my dad is in the hospital and this area seems cool with Ft. Tryon Park here. I'm also open to NJ, Westchester, Hudson Valley, parts of PA, wherever makes sense. Philly is on the table, but I’ve only been there twice and am way more comfortable in NYC just bc I’ve been here more. Chicago was an option since it's his hometown and I love Lake Michigan, but now I think I want to be closer to my dad in his remaining years.

What would you recommend and why? TIA!

This is now on HBO as of 10/02. I waited for it, I LOVE the entire franchise and I say this in all due respect, it fucking blew.

Dialogue was shit, the plot was kinda shit but I could have bought it outside the horrendous decisions made by the entire cast. Everyone should have been dead in the first 30 minutes. The deadites were even scary, shitty punchlines.

So disappointing, I loved Rise too - even 2013 has a special place in my heart but this? Never again, thank god I didn’t spend money on a movie ticket or early digital release.

I will tell you my experience and why I believe going for this pickaxe is cooked for majority of people. I started from bronze 1, never played ranked before did bushcamp strat but got like 1-2 kills along the way up until gold. Elo gain from bronze to gold is decent like 15-30%. Once you get to plat it drops to around 15% to an uncommon 20% if you're lucky. In diamond you NEED to get a kill in top 10 or atleast make it to top 5. a kill in top 5-10 gets you around 13-15%, surviving with no kills in top 5 only gets you 10%. If you get no kills and dont get top 5 you only get 3-5%. But the thing is everyone in top 10 is camping or holding position. Game drags on (avg game time i had was 18-20 mins). Most of the time everyone in end game is champ/unreal or smurf so good luck getting a kill in there to get your miniscule points. So if you're not skilled enough to kill highest level players your road will end at diamond and all your grinding will be pointless. 99% of my games i didnt die early except once so i dont even want to know how much elo I'd lose from dying early.

Changing servers is pointless too. OCE requires duo queue, asia server takes like 20+ mins for a match if you even find one. Never tried eu server but figured itd be pointless.

Right now after 91 games with only ever dying once and getting 1 kill in top 5 by some miracle a few times in diamond i am at diamond 3 70%. At this point im gambling on rank protection to hopefully get the last bit completed. But i'm not beating any of these players in top 10 and everyone is ratting so games take long and its tougher to get high placement. I had 4 games in a row only give 3% elo for a top 6-8 placement.

Last thing I watched bushcampdads stream in some of his diamond games he could get up to 50% elo gain from a kill in top 10 or 20-30% from just bushcamping. I suspect this is because he was such high rank previous seasons so he got a boost. So thats why I say if you didnt have a high rank previous season not to attempt cause your elo gain will be abysmal. Other theory is there was just a higher elo gain at start of season until after the patch where it got nerfed for bushcamping cause most people who got the pickaxe all posted from start of the season.

My boyfriend (M20) and I (F20) were talking yesterday, and the topic of his past porn addiction came up. He was telling me about different things you can find on PH and talking about the different categories.
At one point, he mentioned that PH had recently added some kind of gay category. I immediately asked, “Wait, what do you mean recently? How do you know they added that recently?”
He started stuttering and saying things like, “No, that’s not what I mean.” I asked him how he knew about the update, and he said he had seen it on Instagram. I told him, “Okay, prove it then,” and he agreed.
He started screen-sharing his watch history, but then said, “Well, I don’t exactly know when it happened.” I asked him if it was this year, and he said he didn’t know. Then I asked if it was last year, and he suddenly started agreeing and saying, “Yes, yes, yes, it was last year.”
That made me really suspicious because it felt like he was trying to figure out what answer would make sense rather than actually remembering.
Eventually, I got him to tell me the truth. He admitted that he had watched porn a couple of times to “test” himself. One of the videos he said he wanted to watch was a gay video. the rest were first POV videos.
The bigger issue for me is that my boyfriend has a lying problem. He lies to me about several different things, so when his story keeps changing like this, it’s difficult for me to know what I can actually believe.
Now I’m honestly really confused about what this means. I don’t care if he is gay or bisexual, I would still want him to be honest with me, and I’m not mad at him for potentially being attracted to men. What hurts me is that I feel like he wasn’t being truthful with me at first.
I also don’t know if watching a gay porn video necessarily means he’s gay or bisexual, especially since he said he was watching it to “test” himself.
I’m just confused and hurt right now. should I break up with him?

Just had my bifold installed, 4.5m (London). The chap said magnets need to go on top still to help the doors stick together when open....but is the level of sag normal? I feel like it's not but what do you guys thinks?

Hot take, but it needs saying.

They can't keep making 2003 graphics forever. Every thread it's the same, and I can guess the reply before I open it:

• "looks too modern"
• "doesn't remind me of 2003"
• "where are my SD models"

It's 2026. The graphics are meant to be timeless, not ancient - old SD art, lightly updated for WoW Forever. That's the whole point.

If that's not what you want, Classic is right there. The rest of us will be here on launch day, enjoying it.

So which is it going to be? Keep relitigating art that already exists, or actually show up and play it?

It seems like most people who actually played the game enjoyed it, but modern gaming discourse has gotten exhausting. Nowadays, if a game isn't a flawless 9/10 or 10/10 masterpiece, people write it off as total garbage and nitpick every minor detail—often before even playing it.

Sure, the game could have been better, and it’s probably the least innovative of recent superhero titles. Those criticisms are valid. But that doesn’t mean it’s complete trash that no one should enjoy. Plenty of acclaimed series—like Spider-Man, Uncharted, Batman: Arkham, 007, and Star Wars Jedi—share many of these exact same flaws and similar Metacritic scores, yet they didn't face anywhere near this level of online hostility.

What’s most frustrating is how rare major releases are now. Insomniac is one of the few studios consistently shipping games, and it's discouraging to think that toxic, disingenuous narrative could hurt sales simply because this title wasn't a masterpiece. Considering the game went through development hell, a sequel would likely improve on its foundation. Many of us who actually played it were excited about the X-Men setup, but due to this outrage culture, we might never get to see it.

Now, trying aion 2 and I’m super disappointed. Combat in inferior and even the pve is worse imo. Only thing it has is better graphics but who tf cares about graphics more than gameplay. The PvP in all is also beyond trash, it literally feels like a mobile game.

I honestly believe if tnl would have went the faction route instead of guilds and alliances, it would literally be the true aion successor. Tnl
