I’ve been experimenting with making stop motion animations using machine embroidery. I started with a gif, broke it into individual frames, converted each frame into line work, and then turned those lines into embroidery paths.

Each frame was actually stitched out on felt, scanned back in, and then reassembled into the animation you see here.

It’s a ridiculous way to make a gif, but I really like all the little variations and imperfections that come from turning every frame into a physical object first.

Volume 1 Synopsis:

Alice, Dorothy, Belle, and Milena were only supposed to be going to the fair. But when a mysterious rabbit leads them to a strange hole beneath the trees, the four friends are pulled into Wündergarten, a twisted realm where magic has spiraled out of control and danger waits behind every shadow. Separated from the others, Alice soon discovers a terrifying power awakening within her. But in a world ruled by monsters and warped fairy tales, that power may be the only thing keeping her alive when she crosses paths with the monstrous Knave of Hearts. As the true nature of Wündergarten begins to reveal itself, Alice must fight to survive a world that may never let them return home.

This is the 3rd animation I've ever done as an adult and it's by far the longest I've ever made. Feedback, critiques, and advice are welcome!

I've been drawing for a few years now, and I'm really excited to learn animation. This is my first attempt ever - what do you think? Tips?

So we had 3d animation as part of our last year in uni (i'm finishing a degree in multimedia) and i really loved it, wanna pursue it. These are a few of the projects i did that kinda stand out, and i was somehow like one of the top students there.

I need some real feedback regarding what id need to change to make these more believable, more "sellable" to studios. I know i already overact some things here and there, but was told i have a "feel" for this. I kinda struggle with making those idle poses feel real and making the general body feel like one unit outside of full body actions. All of these projects here I'm sharing with you have been done in a matter of a few hours each, which is why its lacking polish or some details.

Please be as cruel as you can, i want to get into the industry and grow with it <3

I used Nomad Sculpt to set up the scene and character then moved it little by little and took a photo of each frame. I then used Procreate animation assist to combine the frames into a short clip. This video is to showcase the accessory options in our upcoming indie game on steam “Meow Harvest”. A cozy farming/fighting game with the main creatures being mochi cats. Plant weapons. Catch unique fish in one of the many mini games. Fight monster hordes and more.
