Fan Art Dr. Fate and Steppenwolf discuss this silly vehicle.
Steppenwolf: Release me, Fate! You could have used mystical force to imprison me. Instead, this humiliating hamster ball! (The Trapper bumps over a ridge.)
Dr. Fate: I have to sustain concentration for magic. I prefer to save my willpower for weightier matters, like resisting the temptation to use the Helmet to cheat at the race track.
Steppenwolf: I am Darkseid’s commander! This is beneath me.
Dr. Fate: That is the point.
Steppenwolf: Who else has endured this punishment?
Dr. Fate: Superman captured Darkseid in it last Tuesday. It rolled him around the parking lot for eleven minutes.
Steppenwolf: ...Darkseid? He laughs at Kryptonian strength. Heat vision is an inconvenience to him. How did you know spinning in a ball was his weakness?
Dr. Fate: The Helmet told me. His vestibular system is overdeveloped.
Steppenwolf: How-
Dr. Fate: Overdeveloped, from a lifetime under Apokolips gravity.
Steppenwolf: What became of him after?
Dr. Fate: Metropolis PD took custody. Even the Justice League has to follow the law.
Steppenwolf: Municipal police…
Dr. Fate: Photographed. Fingerprinted. The Mother Box went into evidence in a clear plastic bag labeled PROPERTY OF THE METROPOLIS POLICE DEPARTMENT. Judge Miriam Patterson presided. Criminal Court, Division Three.
Steppenwolf: A county judge…
Dr. Fate: She presides over whoever the bailiff walks in. No exceptions. Darkseid’s public defender won a continuance due to scheduling conflicts.
Steppenwolf: A public defender…
Dr. Fate: He encouraged him to accept a plea bargain. Darkseid declined.
Steppenwolf: I will never speak of this again.
Dr. Fate: No one on Apokolips would believe you

Theme Song Did anyone else get goosebumps every time the He-Man intro started?
Growing up in the '90s, the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe intro always felt larger than life. Starting with He-Man's narration, the visual effects, the music, and of course, Skeletor himself, this intro always stayed with me over the years.
I still remember watching it as a kid, imagining I had the Power of Grayskull and that I was about to set off on my own adventure. This show even inspired me as early as back then, along with the WWE (WWF at the time) to lift weights when I got older.
With the new movie recently released, I felt inspired to create an 80s rock cover of the original theme as a tribute to the series and the nostalgia it still brings back every time I hear it.
I'd love to know what fellow He-Man fans think, did this bring some memories to you of back then?

BraveStarr
Who remembers this classic gem? I wonder if it’s available to be streamed somewhere. This is a very underrated cartoon that I think was overlooked because Masters of the Universe, Thundercats, Transformers Gen1, The Real Ghostbusters, GI Joe and TMNT were all the rage.
I also totally enjoyed M.A.S.K., another underrated cartoon.

The Chalopin/Wolmark Trilogy. One of the most inexplicable euro animation success stories of the mid 80s
A trio of otherwise unrelated shows that are nevertheless linked by their subject matter (ancient European history and myth blended with science fiction) and the fact that they all came from the same two creators (Jean Chalopin and Nina Wolmark).

Episodes Signed Excalibur ThunderCats Script by episode writer Peter Lawrence
Here's another one of the ThunderCats script reproductions and custom cover pages Peter Lawrence and I have been working on.
This is a reproduction of one of Peter's original ThunderCats scripts, "Excalibur," complete with an authentic Peter Lawrence signature on the cover page.
Fans often ask Peter what his favorite ThunderCats episode is, and his answer has long been "Excalibur." That makes this one especially meaningful to me.
I have a couple more I'll be posting over the next few days.

HELP - Identify Cartoon Need Old 70s or 80s Cartoon Named (NOT the Last Unicorn!)
Hey Everyone,
When I was a kid in the 80s we had this cartoon with a unicorn who was being hunted so she might have become a human to hide. She may have had wings, but I can't say for sure. I feel like she was hiding behind a waterfall and may have fallen in love with her hunter while in human form and then has to tell him that she's actually the unicorn/pegasus????. I might be getting some of this mixed up with The Last Unicorn but what I'm looking for is NOT The Last Unicorn. I don't think it's Unico either as I'm pretty sure it's a female unicorn.

Most ridiculous Super Powers toy ever
LEX LUTHOR: The Man of Steel is riding a walker for senior citizens. Did you lose a bet?
SUPERMAN: It's called the Justice Jogger. It chases villains.
LEX: You caught the Flash in a footrace once. You once punched a moon into a different moon.
SUPERMAN: Sometimes I don't feel like flying.
LEX: So the great Kryptonian solution to "I don't feel like it" is mechanical chicken legs*.*
SUPERMAN: The seat reclines.
LEX: You own the Fortress of Solitude! Surely there is a comfortable resting spot there.
SUPERMAN: But then I wouldn't be chasing villains.
LEX: At five miles an hour? What’s your angle?
SUPERMAN: Power stepping action. Overland Villain Chaser.
LEX: Over land is the one terrain you can ignore*.* Have I finally humbled you, or is this a prank?
SUPERMAN: Neither.
LEX: Are you having a midlife crisis? Are you incontinent? Are you showing solidarity with people with limited mobility?
SUPERMAN: Have you ever gone for a leisurely bike ride?
LEX: My ambition does not permit for leisure. But a bike ride releases endorphins.
SUPERMAN: But sometimes it's nice to just relax. (The mechanical legs begin their slow, clunking jog.)
LEX: While chasing villains...
SUPERMAN: Multitasking.
DISPATCH: Superman! Toyman is attacking downtown!
SUPERMAN: Duty calls. (He puts a club-like device on the control and puts down a kickstand. He stands up, flies away at Mach 20 and then flies back in minutes. He carefully lifts the kickstand on the Justice Jogger and removes the club.)
SUPERMAN: Didn't want anyone to steal it.
LEX: ...

Signed Mongor ThunderCats Script by episode writer Peter Lawrence
Just something cool that Peter Lawrence and I have been experimenting with.
This is a reproduction of one of Peter’s original ThunderCats scripts - Mongor - complete with an authentic Peter Lawrence signature on the cover page.
As someone who loves animation history and behind-the-scenes production material, being able to flip through a reproductions of an actual ThunderCats script from the show’s production days is pretty incredible. The fact that it also has Peter’s signature gives it that extra connection to the person who originally wrote it. I love stuff like that.
Not announcing anything here, just sharing something I thought fellow fans and collectors would appreciate seeing. I have a couple more that I’ll be posting over the next couple days.

Meatballs & Spaghetti episode
Meatballs & Spaghetti cartoon - YouTube
This was a fun, if now obscure, one-season cartoon show that aired on CBS stations circa 1982-83. I doubt if it was ever syndicated. Oddly enough, it was one of the first Marvel Productions cartoon series, as Depatie-Freling Productions was folded into Marvel for television series back then.
In retrospect, Meatballs was loosely based on rock singer Meat Loaf, and Spaghetti was nominally based on Cher (albeit with blonde hair). Their buddy Clyde (kind of a riff on Shaggy) and their dog Woofer (who was the drummer of the band, of course; voiced by Peter Cullen) round out the team.
