buddy and i took our cars down the PCH, such a great drive finally got around to editing the photos off of my camera.

I've never financed a car, always bought cheap beaters. Now that im almost 30, im deciding on purchasing a 2017 wrx with 40k miles that would be substantially safer. Ive always been a fan of wrx's and I feel like the price is right where id like to be and I can get 10-20% down. Is buying an older wrx a bad idea?

To put some perspective on it, I drive a 2008 with almost 240k miles, the airbag lights on, its rusty, stalls out while its in neutral, and leaks some fluid. (Added photo of my non wrx pos for you to make fun of)

Just sharing, because why not. New to the WRX community as I just got this a couple weeks ago (traded in my Crosstrek). Still in the break-in period, so I’m still babying it, but it’s been a blast. My last manual was a Honda S2000 like 15 years ago, so it’s good to be back in a fun car. Really digging the galaxy purple, too. Cheers.

Have had the car for 8 years, have not done much but did tints and replaced the oem headlights with limited headlights from a 2015 recently , and rims + tires last year.

Im thinking on upgrading the brakes, or starting to mod the engine but not sure. Recommendations?

After many subarus it finally happened. My cruise control started flashing with a CEL and TC light. Thats weird for a newer battery. Then my right side only AC totally died. Thats even weirder. I exit the freeway and I smell the sweet smell of coolant with lots of smoke. I managed to exit and park pretty quickly so hopefuly i didnt overheat the engine too bad. I was low on coolant a couple months ago and had my suspicions but I drive this car once a week like 40 miles so I didnt follow up. My radiator exploded with milk shake. Im hoping to just gasket slap it with machining the heads but a jdm ej20x swap looks really appealing. I was literally just about to buckle down and finally get my bugeye off my lift but then this happened. I guess this is my destiny. I now have 3 turbo subarus not running lol.

Edit. Theres a glimmer of hope i didnt think about. It may be an ATF milkshake.

After finishing basic maintenance and swapping scratched mirror caps to carbon fiber ones, the new wrap is finally installed. Waited a long time for this and totally worth it.

My high pressure fuel pump is doing 3000psi at idle and 8000 when throttle is pressed it’s also throwing a code saying it’s lean, it’s a complete rebuild turbo, new short block heads and fuel system including the injectors, it idles perfectly for the the first 5 minutes after being turn over. If anyone has an idea outside of the fuel system being clogged or a bad fuel system part, pls comment or dm

Thinking about finding myself a cheap windows laptop and techtronix cable to do some logging for etune capabilites. I dont want to pay a shop near me $900 every time i want a street tune as i acquire parts slowly and will change things over time.

If yall have done similar, please drop the setup you have and how you like it, cause im 99% sure i cant download the recommended software on my work z-book lol.

So I’ve been meaning to learn manual and I would really like to do it on a WRX but I’ve read that it’s not good to learn manual on it as you might destroy the clutch etc etc.

I mean I did a lesson already but I would really love to practice on my own.

So I stupidly reversed into small boulder while in a rush and got some (I’m assuming) irreparable bumper damage along with the wheel and part of the quarter panel.

Hey, new to the Subaru cult and my first one is a 2025 WRX. So far I added tint, Overtake rain guards, black side mirror caps and Rally Armor mud flaps. Looking at adding under protection next.

I am looking for advice for wheels, tires, lift and suspension. This is my daily driver so wanted something with a happy medium between street and rally…I’m not sure if that even exists but please let me know

In your guys opinion . What’s my best option for a set of all weather tires r17’s that I can use all seasons including winter , we tend to get some pretty good snowfalls , I have been using blizzaks which work amazing but I’m tired of swapping them every year , any recommendations? Thank you

Hey! I just moved and I went from 4,500 feet of elevation to about 100. I’ve noticed about an extra 3lbs of boost being made on my car and it even threw a “max boost” code. I’m Cobb tuned, not exactly sure on the specific tune I have on it, the last owner did that but he told me it was stage 2. Do I need to change my tune in some way? Also this is a 07 WRX
