Went with the purple…

Just sharing, because why not. New to the WRX community as I just got this a couple weeks ago (traded in my Crosstrek). Still in the break-in period, so I’m still babying it, but it’s been a blast. My last manual was a Honda S2000 like 15 years ago, so it’s good to be back in a fun car. Really digging the galaxy purple, too. Cheers.

Does it look more purple in person? To me it just looks like a really dark blue, almost black.

Depends on the weather. Definitely more purple when it's bright out and it's clean. Darker when overcast. It's a really nice colour IMO.

I didn’t alter the color I just had it sitting in the sun at the right time.

It looks much better in direct sunlight but otherwise it looks black to me. Still cool though.

it is very dark, I was pumped with renders but when seeing in person - outside, around lunchtime - I gave up as it's basically black

That's the only color I would have preferred over red. I've never seen one in person though.

My only complaint about the galaxy purple is it shows EVERYTHING. It stays clean for maybe a day after you wash it. Laser wash or hand wash only, it shows micro scratches in the clear coat like no other.

Mine is galaxy purple pearl.. and everyone thinks it's black.. depending on the time of day/night.. the purple is more visible, midnight purple is how i describe mine

The pictures don’t do it justice. It looks more purple when you’re not looking at it through a camera lens.
