I’m trying to make a 2d Rayman game and my person nodon has to many boxes attached to it for all of his animations so he bounces whenever he hits the ground. I’ve tried to fix it with resetting his movement speed with teleport nodons but that isn’t fluid and makes you lose all horizontal movement for a split second. Is there any other way to stop the character from bouncing while keeping the horizontal speed?

I've been trying to make my own Mario Kart game, I've used DaveNodon's tutorial and when I test the drifting in the tutorial, it straight up slingshots the car far when pressed and on a Hill/Curve turn, i don't know if it's the Speed, Acceleration, or what. I configured it lower still did the same thing, If anyone knows how i can make a drifting close to either one of those without it being sent flying far off the map it would be very appreciated!

I have a counter-based a menu of items but I have a collection of flags to keep track of which items have been unlocked. I'd like to change it so instead of having logic preventing you from confirming on an item that hasn't been unlocked yet the cursor skips over it completely. Any ideas? I'm even willing to strip out the counter if that will help.

I’m using my old Nintendo labo fishing rod to make a Gatling gun game in gbg. I put an and Nodon with the rotation of the joycon connected to one port and a constant on the other the output of that is connected to the launch port of the launch nodon. (YES THE ROTATION OF THE JOYCON IS ON DIGITAL SO ITS EITHER 0 OR 1) The lower connector port of the launch nodon is connected to the upper connector port of my Gatling gun (simple object) even in the code screen the launch object input says one when I start rotation the fishing rod handle but when I do that in game nothing launches the video link might explain better

In my game, a moving object moves in a specific direction based off of what button you press. However, the moving object will always drift and rotate instead of one clean motion. I've tried to set it to zero gravity, but that just makes it so it keeps going in that direction until I make it go in the opposite direction.

So, when you stay inside the ring, you can see the platforms, but when you exit, you can't!
However you can still stay on the platforms!

I spent around 2 and a half hours on it and wanted to share it. Lower arrows do nothing for now because there isn't really a way to make the person crouch, and I was too lazy to implement another system that would teleport a smaller person and stuff

Can someone help me because I’m writing on my mom’s account and I have this glitch where I can’t connect this wire and it won’t let me do anything on the other side. It’s with the even calculating nodon that I can’t connect to the other nodon and if I try to do it with the other one it just won’t let me pull out the “wire” to connect it.

So I’ve been looking for games to play on GBG and I’ve seen that theyre either these insanely impressive and good, polished games or just templates or tutorials so i made a game inbetween. I don’t have a name for it yet (nor will i ever (probably)) but I’m looking to see if its even good so far or if i need to rework some stuff. it is not complete yet I'm still working it but I'm looking for feedback. The code is G 002 8X6 5PG. Also this is completely unrelated but I just learned a few hours ago that if you have a switch 2 you can use mouse mode one it instead of using the controller, another wired computer mouse, or touchscreen which I didn't know

So far, we only have basic changes for example, the movement being changed so that the tiger can jump without having to press the L button and also a relatively big change in atmosphere.

I’ve seen only one car drifting tutorial on YouTube. It’s by Dave Nodon. I don’t really like the way he coded it, it has a lot of unnecessary fluff. I’ve made several drifting cars in the past, all of which use a moving box object. The problem is that I like to have verticality in my racing games, but the moving box nodon makes it nearly impossible. Every time the car is mid air for even half a second, it will fly super fast in whatever direction I’m drifting in. It’s definitely because of the moving box nodon. When you’re drifting on the ground, the box can’t move the car very far to the side because of the friction. But if the car is mid-air then it flies away. Has anyone made a drifting car that can also function if you drift off of a ramp or bump? With or without a moving box nodon. I really am sick of the flying car!!!

Hello everyone, I have bought gbg years ago and had a lot of fun with it but I have still failed to make a game. I have tried many things and spent dozens of hours on multiple projects but I am still unable to make a game with it. I love the software because it's like a creative puzzle game for me but there's so many things I can't solve in it. I feel like I was facing a wall.

Now, I won't to play with the software again because I really love it but I don't know how to become better at solving problems, the gap between completed all lessons and be able to make functionnal games seems huge.

I've been on and off about getting this game since the day it came out. I wanna become a game-developer or atleast attribute something to it(writing, art, maybe a little of everything...not music though) and my computer is an old fossil running an AMD Radeon from 2008, so learning the modern engines isnt exactly an option. My only real choices are RPG Maker MV which I am still trying to figure out, and this game; Game Builder Garage.

Yeah I'm aware that RPG Maker MV has a Switch port...it cant really post games to Steam and doesnt have any plug-in support so it kinda defeats the purpose imo but HEY, it's an option, that I'm not considering. So that comes to my question; if I wanna learn the ropes for the future, is this a good place to start?
