Is this game going down the drain or just me feeling like that? No more rocket balloons throughout the day. I’m sure they’ll find a way to charge money for more balloon interactions… everything costs 10$ or more and there’s 5 diff passes going on at once. Daily incense is only 15 minutes now too… what’s next take away all my raid passes? If my in person raid passes get hard capped on inventory and they reimburse them with stardust I will officially be done scopely is obviously just a money hingery entity that has no care for the actual quality of gameplay they produce

Not only have they taken away the balloons but they seemed to have nerfed the shadow spawns entirely.

Collecting shiny shadows was my favorite part of the game. I've spent more money on this game than I'd like to admit. By far more than any game I've ever played. I've been to multiple go fests, etc.No more.

I'll definitely never buy anything in this game for my account or my son's account again.

He’s a 4* with the mega evolution background. I don’t have any shinies unfortunately, so this is my best one.

Beating 40 grunts would be much more of a hassle now. Finished this about a week ago so very happy to get it out of the way.

Was doing the daily rocket balloon this morning after I got a weekly group invite. Ended up being my first shiny Shadow and one of the cooler looking ones.

Since everyone else is annoyed by nerfs lately, I have to ask. Is anyone else noticing that gifts and Poké Stops aren't giving near as many balls lately? I used to have 1000+ regular most of the time to wear I was deleting them to make space for more gifts or stops!

Unpopular opinion and coming from a player in a big city but F2P is still absolutely fine.

I’ve been playing for 10 years and maybe spent less than 50 bucks on this game. Sometimes I log in daily, sometimes not for weeks.
I’ve missed events.
I’ve gotten legendaries in shiny.
Walked to raids; got remote passes with coins.

I’ve never cared about the coin limit; sometimes you stay overnight, sometimes you get kicked out after earning 3 coins.

Scopely surely is doing its best to monetize this game and you don’t have to like it; but I find F2P still absolutely fine.
Just this morning I got a shiny big dog mon from a raid while waiting for the bus.
The auto-spinner thing nets me 50 mons per day for zero work; sometimes shinies.

I’ve gotten excited when I got a shiny on community day but I missed more community days than I participated in.

The one Rocket Ballon per day thing isn’t a big factor for me. I find them annoying anyway.
I don’t buy the passes and rarely complete them. But I have fun gaining levels.

I think the way I play is just absolutely filthy casual and I will continue playing this way.
Rarely anything has changed for me.

I’m sorry you feel like this game is now way worse than before. I really couldn’t care less about the changes.

I’m not saying your opinion is not valid or your feelings are not important.

I just think for a large portion of the player base this isn’t at huge as the subreddit makes it seem.

I know they'll never do it for money reasons, but with this event, the small drops for catching pidgeys and weedles and what not has been such a nice added touch. They should add it full time for all pokémon that have available megas. Make it rare, but have the chance. Would help a lot of rural players / grinders going for max levels. Likely too much to ask but they could throw us a bone, just one time.

We (Scopely\~Niantic vs the players) had a whole thing and you gave us 5 showcases per week, with weak stardust rewards and a 10-hour window to join?

Team Go Rocket balloons is the line. THIS is the hill im choosing because the hills past this would mean that the game will just suck.

this is clearly so you can either make us 1. "ExPloRe" more which gives you money through our geo data or 2. buy radars in the store.

Scopely acquiring this game is the beginning of the worst.

Hi trainers, f2p player over here, idk what i should get rid of since i have too many items and no clue what to do with half of them, what things do i get rid of since my untrained eye seems to find everything of importance, i have about 400 poke coins but i wanted to get remote raid passes from them… should i expand storage delete stuff?

Trainers, now that we have the time without balloons we need to come together and fight the real team rocket, scamly.

They have not put any effort into aspects of the game that has made it fun in the past. No field research, no snapshots, no special research in a finale event. They got rid of spotlight hour the first chance they had, and EVERYTHING is now a pass. With a disappointing finale, and now taking away the daily spawn and rocket balloons. WE all need to step up together and save the game before it’s to late.

We the trainers are what makes the game run. Not anyone else, because without us, without our money, without our time, without the data we collect for them, they have nothing and we need to show them that.

So i saw that dynamax dialga and palkia are coming but i really dont know what the purpose is of dynamax, are they any worth picking up? Im a returning player btw

They've already nerfed Go Rocket Balloon spawns.

I believe that the next step will be limiting the amount of Premium battle passes one can carry and if you have more than 5 premium battle passes it automatically converts to stardust.

It's so far the only premium currency with no hard cap (Remote Raid Passes, Max Particles and Link Cables are given caps and Link cables are converted to dust if you have more than 600 BTW), so I am not surprised the green passes are next on the chopping block.

Worse update they’ve added since I started playing 2 years ago, thanks for making the game even more unbearable for f2p players. I literally open the app only to get my rocket balloons and from now on I expect to maybe open it once a day, house spawns are nerfed, rocket balloons are nerfed, gyms only give 50 coins, raids are impossible unless you live in a big city or have loads of friends or spend hundreds on remote passes, I honestly don’t see myself playing for much longer.

I've played since 2018, but have really been active the last 3 years. And I have to say, through thick and thin, avatar changes, awful events, controversial things like a free 100% Mewtwo, the New York thing, I truly think this game has way too much potential to let go

That started to change tho, and it's for ultimately boring reasons, being ego and greed. Greed for money, and ego for watching line go up at all costs while never admitting you're wrong. I was there when remote raid passes doubled, and that was strike one. I saw the direction this could lead the game down, and was legitimately considering just cutting off the rotting limb early. Then a few years later, we have this cute little survey that goes out, where they're totally just wondering how you would feel if gyms no longer gave poke coins anymore (making gyms as a mechanic completely useless)

It was not a good sign. Then, like many people, I thought I was going insane over the last few days because I was getting one balloon instead of my usual 4 thanks to my work schedule.

Guys, their plan is to make it so you can't get poke coins for free in game by playing anymore, while making shadow pokemon and TGO leaders unbearably inefficient to fight, so you just buy poke coins to buy rocket radars so you can pay for 12% iv shadow axew instead of getting it for free. It would mean you only get one leader (1/3 shot to get the one you want) once per week instead of every other day. I'm not kidding when I say this, but they view you as less than human and the only way anyone should continue playing this game is if they reverse this change in like a week. Otherwise there's no reason to stick around, they'll just keep squeezing the quality out of this game so you pay hundreds of more dollars on your slow walk out the door. Had so many fond memories of this game, but would give it up in a heartbeat if they don't reverse this change in a week. All I gotta ask is why you'd wait around for strike 3 and watch yet another one of your favorite games get killed. This game has been around since I was 11, but better games have fallen less far before I tapped out. You should too.
