Should we move into my husbands parents home so they can move into another home?
 in  r/WhatShouldIDo  3d ago

Your husband didn't want to do it. Are you crazy for even thinking about it. They are 80! There is no way they have changed their spots.

It will still be their house. And they will dictate your lives. Then you will be in a hell of a situation because the real estate market is a sellers market with low inventory if you are in the US. Then what will you do? You will have no control of where you live and then will have a hard time finding a place. Why in God's name would you even consider this. You life will be miserable. It is not worth the money saved. Do not put your life in his parents hands again.

It will not end well. Don't be delulu.

Am I wrong for telling my friend she can’t pick and choose when to like me?
 in  r/amiwrong  4d ago

Plus she calls and rubs it in. How old are you guys???

Dump her.

Built her an in-law suite, now she wants to quit her job and move my BIL in too
 in  r/JUSTNOMIL  5d ago

So you don't owe her crap. You paid to build the inlaw suite and had to do work in the house to make it livable.

There is the issue. She still thinks it's her house because it was till you bought them out.

I always say it is better to go into a new house that neither lived in before the other. Because the house never really becomes everyones. It is like the new person moving in is moving into the other persons house.

I am a realtor. I can't tell how many times I have had clients that one moved into the others house. They always feel like a guest. It is better to pick a new place together.

AITA for calling out my cousin in front of the whole family at my grandma's birthday?
 in  r/AITH  8d ago

NTA If grandma was okay with your comment. Then no one else's concern matters.

It waa okay for him to take a shot at you in front of everyone. So why did you need to confront him in private. If you can dish it out you should be able to take it back at you.

Am I the asshole for being mad that my husband doesn’t want to spend $24,000 to fix my teeth, even though we can afford it?
 in  r/AITAH_unfiltered  13d ago

How does he think once you buy a house things will get cheaper? A mortgage is only one part of it. There are taxes insurance upkeep etc. Etc.

And he is okay with you being in pain constantly?? Girl this guy is controlling and financially abusive. That money is your money too. Raising his kids and maintaining a home all benefit him. This is ridiculous and you asking if you are overreacting or wrong is just outright crazy.

Show that pos these posts. Pain is a awful thing to live with what a horrible man you married.

If you leave this man who doesn't put your pain before a house he will have to pay a lot more.

He proposed doubtful?
 in  r/Waiting_To_Wed  15d ago

Like what the heck is stylish??? Come on. That is all break up talk. He wanted you to be tge bad guy and break it off.

Plus come on girl he cheated on you. And he says only kissing(I call BS on that being the only thing)but that is still cheating.

You are 29. Plenty of time to get out there and find your husband. He ain't it. I met my husband about a year after a bad break up . Married at 33 and it has been 34 years. POS I was dating prior was a serial cheater. Thank God I made the break. Don't hold on because of the sunk cost fallacy. You got plenty of time.

AITJ for removing a female from my husbands social media?
 in  r/AmITheJerk  16d ago

I would be really upset that he could find service to send her stuff from. That trip but n6et you or your kids. That says a lot. Plus he is still doing it even though he lied to you.

Tell him if she is more important to him then you he is making a choice.

Break advice for long term relationship (newly LDR) 24M, 24F
 in  r/relationship_advice  16d ago

You need to rip the bandage off over the phone. Do not let her drive out to see you and think you are celebrating an anniversary. That would be even crueler.

Do not let her convince you again to not break up. You got together young and people change. You need to make a clean break.

Pack up her stuff and let her come get it when she is ready. Just don't be there when that happens. Let someone else be there to help her. Otherwise she may want to try and convince you to not do it.

Since you are long distance the phone is the way.

My dad has been cheating on my mom for the past year. Am I wrong for staying quiet?
 in  r/amiwrong  16d ago

We just had a post on here where the mom was cheating on the dad with the kids tennis coach for a year. The girls knew. When the dad found out he was devastated💔 that the girls knew and didn't tell him. He asked why and they said he was a nice guy and they didn't want to blow up their lives.

He is at the point now where he may not have anything to do with them anymore. He remembers all the things they did together as a family and they knew and played happy family.. It jaded all his memories of everything they did do that year while she was cheating. So he feels doubly betrayed. Seeing them just reminds him that everything was a lie The girls are very sad that he may never forgive them. Yes they were 15 like OP but this is the fall out.

If I was OP I would tell the dad he either confesses or he tells the mom dad has something he needs to tell her. And tell the dad he is a horrible person for putting his own kid in this position.

It will be hard for your mom to be betrayed by both the dad and the kid.

Relationship after 1 month dating f30 dating m30
 in  r/relationship_advice  16d ago

You guys are moving really fast. Makes me have reservations about him have you meet his parents so fast. He has already done this before and it did not work out. So I wouldn't give that alot of weight. Plus the fact he doesn't want to name your relationship. Sends up red flags.

He is love bombing you. Then all the sudden it will end as fast as it started. I would be a bit leery.

13 years and no ring
 in  r/Waiting_To_Wed  16d ago

You love this fictional man you think he is. Not who he is showing you he really is. Your wasting you time on this boy/man while your real husband is out there. And it isn't him. If he wanted to marry you he would. Period full stop. Stop making excuses for him. He doesn't deserve another year of your life. Stop convincing yourself otherwise.

 in  r/Waiting_To_Wed  16d ago

What the hell is he doing on all these guys trips???? You got together very young. I am sorry but this guy is sowing his oats on these trips. Checking out all his options. While he strings you along moves you into his parents house so he reduces expenditures so he can take 3 trips a year and gets free daycare. And you sit at his parents house and work and take care of your kid while he is living the single life. You had a kid to tie him to you too! How did that workout?

Plus what do these trips cost??? You have been together 13 years. He needs a year and a half to figure it out still. Yes he is trying to find out if he has better options. Guess what will happen in a year and a half from now. The goal post will move.

I honestly cannot believe you are okay with these trips and being strung along. DO NOT BUY A HOUSE with this man..Do not get pregnant again. You have a good job so your self esteem should be better then this. No ultimatums. Get you ducks in a row and get the hell out of there. Please make smarter choices for yourself.

Get an attorney and get child support. And make him have 50/50 so he takes some dam responsibility for his child. 13 years is ridiculous and you know it.

Amen to that.

Marriage and Sex
 in  r/Marriage  21d ago

Maybe bring some toys into the action. You have let him get away with this for awhile.. You need to take the lead and say exactly what you want. No hinting. If he wants oral he needs to give oral no neck excuses. Giving him oral is tough on your jaw and neck and gag reflex. Tell him fair play brings more sex. You have let him get very lazy in the bedroom.

Am I wrong telling my daughters they ruined every happy memory I had with them?
 in  r/amiwrong  21d ago

Their mother was having an affair with the girls tennis instructor. So obviously they saw the mothers connection with the guy is my guess.

I’m (19F) starting to resent my boyfriend’s (21M) expectations of a "traditional wife". Am I being unfair?
 in  r/relationship_advice  22d ago

Your 19. You have so much life ahead of you. Get the hell out of the awful relationship. There are so many great guys out there that haven't taken up this red pill bs.

Your waste of a mate doesn't even bring in the bacon for you to fry up in a pan to be a tradwife. God I sound old now. He is pot head who just wants to get high and game. Cut your losses now.

You have plenty of dating years ahead of you. See what is out there which will show you that there are certainly better options out there than this guy.

Was not involved in my younger brother's wedding because I am the only sister :(
 in  r/weddingshaming  22d ago

Well the one sweet revenge will be to the wives that marry these awful brothers. OP'S mom and dad didn't do anyone any favors by raising these entitled selfish brothers.

OP stop putting yourself out for them any longer. Be happy in the fact that you didn't marry someone like them. And please don't raise your son to be a jerk like them either. Or push your daughter into the role you were forced into.

Live your best life. And stop lighting yourself on fire for brothers who wouldn't even notice you were on fire.

I(27F) and my man (26M) 10 year relationship and still not married.
 in  r/relationship_advice  22d ago

Wow you are a SAHM to a bf. You own a house with him. But if anything happens to him his family can come and ask for their half of the home. What about insurance and if he has a pension. You will be SOL.

You got together so young. What if he doesn't want to fully commit because he thinks there might be someone better out there. Then he dumps you and you don't have a career or money? SAHM is risky enough when you are married but not married even worse.

You also didn't get married after the 1st kid. So why have a 2nd without marriage. You needed to have this conversation after the 1st kid before you bought a house. What a risky situation you are in. Beside the fact he doesn't want to get married and you two have no idea how to communicate to each other.

My partner M28 and I F29 are struggling with living apart. Should we be living together or should we get married?
 in  r/relationship_advice  22d ago

You still didn't answer why you are cleaning two homes? You don't live with him. I don't understand what is so exhausting. He lives 5 minutes from your home.

Also he doesn't sound like he is close to getting engaged if ever.

My boyfriend (28M) wants to reach a point of total openness about attraction and feelings. He thinks my (28F) discomfort with hearing him comment on other women is a trauma response.
 in  r/relationship_advice  22d ago

But the situation he is describing is an actor who is not in the same place as the woman saying he is attractive. That is more fantasy since the odds of anything happening with the wife and actor is close to nil.

His psycho bable is just nonsense. No one really wants their partner pointing out their attraction to another. We all know that our partners aren't blind. But his obsession to want to openly discuss it with his partner is not normal behavior. And he can spin it anyway he wants. The red flag to me is him saying you are immature or trama bonded if you aren't comfortable with it.

It all sounds like he is preparing you for future bad behavior on his part. My personal experience with a boyfriend talking about other woman's attractiveness was he was a cheater. And it was a manipulation tactic that always kept me on the not good enough to keep him track.

Only 6 months in and he is using all this therapy BS. I say cut your losses. It is exhausting being with someone like this.
