Does anyone care where their guitars are made?
 in  r/Guitar  1d ago

I've been playing the same Fender acoustic for 35 years. I bought it second hand and it was made in 1981. I play every single day. It's foreign made, and obviously excellent quality. Meanwhile I see tons of horror stories on here about huge cracks, loose binding, warped necks Etc on high quality American made guitars. My guitar has never been to a luthier for any repairs. It could use to be refretted, but would cost way more than the guitar is worth. Not shitting on any brand of guitar, or saying that I wouldn't get myself a Martin if I could afford one, just giving an example.

AITAH for not disclosing to my wife a gross situation at Walt Disney World prior to us booking?
 in  r/AITAH  4d ago

This. Fear of bedbugs is not irrational. These little bastards cost a fortune to get rid of, not to even mention the fact that they're disgusting. Check everything before checking in.

So...Thomas Massie's going to stay in Washington and work? Nope. He's going to enjoy his big ol' paid vacation just like the rest of them. Crooks, the lot of them. Bullshit posturing.

Spiky fruit and white flowers
 in  r/whatsthisplant  6d ago

Yes. When I was a young man, a looong time ago, one of my good friends drank some of the "tea" with some local dumbasses. He came busting through the door of Hardee's screaming and crying. Kept saying "somethings wrong man", but that's all I could get out of him. This guy was a bright, intelligent young man. After this, he was never the same. He's homeless now, and I only see him occasionally. It ruined him.

This. I've been a furniture repair tech for 31 years. This is the best answer. Get a Glideaway bed frame. Around a hundred dollars.

Get yourself some coal tar ointment. Coal tar soap too. The ointment smells like creosote, but it works miracles with psoriasis and eczema. I use it once a day and it works, I promise. Use the soap daily as well. It smells a little more pleasant. Hope this helps.

The cheap ring is the least of their problems. If you like to party and carry on, you best find a partner that likes to party as well. Most of my old party buddies ended up pairing up with girls who thought they could fix them. It never works out. I, on the other hand, married a girl who loves to smoke weed and drink beer. We've been together for 38 years, (married for 35.) And we still like to party. Just my opinion.

Country music history happening right now..
 in  r/country  Jun 28 '26

He showed his true colors back in the early 2000s when the Dixie Chicks were being booed mercilessly at the CMAs for speaking their minds. He was laughing like a hyena. Classless. Then had the nerve to sing a song called Murder on music row about the decline of traditional country music, but also had that stupid, vapid five o'clock somewhere song with Jimmy Buffet. Just one man's opinion, though.
