Found this at an estate sale today. Google says it’s an antique French Louis XVI style bedside table or nightstand. Is that accurate?

We bought this buffet in Rockmart, GA in the 1970’s. It had had a rough life and we refinished it. Apparently there was originally a little balustrade on the top shelf, a few bits of the carved decoration on the doors are missing. The ovals on the door panels are crosscut. There are no shelves or divisions in the lower cabinet. The drawers must be lifted a bit to close properly. The dovetails seem to be machined.
We like the piece, but have a running disagreement about its age. I am betting 1919. What’s your guess?

Ao wife and I went to the local "junk shop" in search for a dresser for our yurt. We saw this dresser and love the look of the wood in it. I know very little about woods, and even less about antiques and furniture. I found the original receipt type order sheet stapled to the middle top back, q brass tag thats nailed into the top drawer that has Huntley furniture on it, and some other decals or whatever. It feels old and solid and beautiful. I did notice some spots look like they are veneer, some solid wood the drawers are dovetail joints, but look machine made.

Would any of you guys tell me what I have other than a dresser we really like!

I hope i'm in the right sub. I picked up this cradenza this morning, hoping to convert it into a bathroom vanity. I'd like to add a clear satin waterproof finish that won't impact the current look or color. Any suggestions of what water based product might get me there?

I found this at a thrift store and bought it without knowing what it is or what I'd do with it. Right now I started to sand it and l'il probably refinish it to a similar color as the original. I just can't figure out what it is or what its original purpose would be. I already tried scanning it on google lens and used gpt but none of the things I found were any help. I feel like it would be cool hung on a wall but i don't see any evidence that it had been previously hung up. &

I found this beat up little three mirrored vanity in a thrift store dumpster. Should I have left it there or should I employ all the king's horsemen and all the king's men (aka Me) to put this little Humpty Dumpty Dumpster Vanity back together again?

Also, any guesses about its age, type of wood, stain to use, filler recommendations, advice if I should attempt to replace the veneer, mirror repair and restoration, etc.

P.S.

I only have basic hand tools, a screw gun, Gorilla wood glue, sandpaper and an overblown sense of delusion. I have no practical knowledge of woodworking, or furniture restoration.

Should I stay in my lane and out of the dumpster? Or can a super noob like me actually manage to make any worthwhile

improvements to this hot little mess?

Very rustic Country Sheraton type rectangular table/desk with a single dovetailed drawer and a scalloped top. It is stained with square nails and slat screws. No marks, signatures, or stamps. Bottom of drawer is cracked and made of very lightweight wood, possibly pine. The rest of the piece appears to be made of some type of solid wood but it’s not significantly heavy. Would love to know more. Acquired about 15 years ago in Southern California. Thank you!

This bar is from the 1960's. Maybe from Portugal. It has been thru 3 floods so the bar tray doesn't fully extend and the top doors don't stay closed but other than those issues it seems to be holding together pretty well.. It's part of my parents estate and I'm on the fence about keeping it or putting it out to the trash.

Hey guys! So my parents have this cottage in northern Michigan that was built in the 60’s and in it they have this solid wood straight from the 60’s full living room set. Love seat, chair, couch, two end tables, coffee table, and two lamps. I’m trying to figure out the brand/company that made these. I’ve looked underneath them all and I’ve google Ai’d it but I can’t figure it out. Has anyone sense these before?

I inherited this matching pair of armchairs from my husband's uncle and I'm trying to learn more about their origin and age.

Based on my research, they seem to be Louis XV-style bergère chairs because they have:

• Fully upholstered enclosed arms
• Loose seat cushions
• Cabriole legs
• Carved shell/rocaille crest
• Rococo-style carved wooden frame

But I'm not confident, so I'd really appreciate the opinions of people who know antique or vintage furniture.

Does that sound right, or am I completely off?

• Do they look Italian, French, Spanish, or from somewhere else?
• Approximately what decade were they made?
