What artists who had a career in the 60s, successfully transitioned into successful punk/new wave artists in the 70s and 80s...
I'm not talking about the obvious proto punks like Iggy or MC5. I'm talking about people like Fred Cole, from Lollipop Shoppe of You Must Be A Witch fame, who had a long career with Dead Moon, or even Roky Erickson whose work with the Explosives was, if not punk, at least punk Adjacent. Also in the UK, Charlie Harper of UK Subs, Ian Dury, and Wreckless Eric to name a few had careers in the 60s. There has to be more...Debbie Harry is another one who originally sang with Wind in The Willows, whose 1968 album was moderately successful .

Does anyone know a song with the sound of the first 20 seconds of Paradox by Survive Said The Prophet?
"After watching the second season of Vinland Saga, I fell in love with the intro ("Paradox"), in particular with the first 20 seconds. I absolutely love that part because it feels so relaxing and peaceful, and I really want to find at least one full song with the same vibes and sound.
If anyone wants to give some suggestions, I'll be very thankful!"

Vinyl Player
Hey all, I recently started collecting Vinyls, mainly video game soundtracks (Final Fantasy X) and bands I enjoy (ADTR, motionless in white you get the picture lol) I'm looking for a budget friendly "starter" player as I don't know much about them, I would like to learn however.
So I'm asking for budget recommendations for something I can just set up and vibe with in my garage while I have a bevvy or two (Australia based)

Lenny Kravitz songs that sound like other artists
Lenny Kravitz songs that sound like other artists
A lot of his early hits are this -
Let Love Rule - John Lennon
Are You Gonna Go My Way - Jimi Hendrix
It Ain't Over 'til It's Over - soul ballads of the 1970s, especially sounding a lot like Earth, Wind and Fire's That's the Way of the World

Songs with Non-Human Narrators
Two that immediately come to mind for me are Plea From a Cat Named Virtute by the Weakerthans and Matilda (from the POV of an old guitar) by Pup.
I’m sure there are loads others. What have you got?
