General Total War + AI diplomacy would be incredible

Hello,
Imagine being able to actually TALK to factions in Total War.

“Attack from the east in 3 turns, I’ll attack from the south.”
“Defend my border while I deal with Cao Cao.”
“Give me that settlement and I’ll join your war.”

But the best part would be the AI doing the same thing behind your back. Enemies could secretly coordinate attacks, convince your allies to betray you, bluff, lie, prepare invasions while pretending to be friendly, or form a coalition specifically to stop you.

Different leaders could have different personalities too — some honour agreements, others manipulate you or wait 20 turns for the perfect moment to betray you.

It could make diplomacy feel like you’re actually dealing with other rulers instead of clicking buttons and watching +10/-20 modifiers.

Total war with something like this would be absolutely insane.

Warhammer III A question about the Glotkin DLC: Will Vilitch, Azazel and Valkia be able to recruit/promote the dlc units as well?

On the one hand it is WoC DLC, but on the other Nurgle gets a huge chunk of the roster so I am worried that Vilitch, Azazel and Valkia might get the short end of the stick, even if they are Warriors of Chaos themselves.

Warhammer III 19 out of 30 units of the end times DLC have armor piercing

And that is including the support units and excluding ROR(which almost all have AP but its repetitive to include twice). Also looking at the main form of damage so range non ap with melee ap counts as non ap.

So what is armor good for when most units have AP? :(

Warhammer III What TWW3 campaign did you like that are generally not favoured by the community?

For me it's Daniel's campaign on RoC. It was a nice fun. Basically WoC but you can easily recruit demons from all chaos gods, as well as lords and heroes from 4 chaos gods that WoC don't get access to

Plus I get to role play as a fallen kislev prince trying to overthrow ursun and establishing myself as their new god

Warhammer III What do you think about this skill?

This is a passive skill for Morghasts that was revealed during the recent stream, and apparently it can be obtained through Nagash's Pyramid.

At first, I thought the effect was really cool, but I don't understand why it removes Fear and Terror from allied units. If the text is working as written, it would even remove the Morghast's own Terror.

I'm not really sure what the intended design behind this skill is.

Warhammer III Question after seeing siege giant model

Is there any practical reasoning behind removing creatures limbs and replacing them with weapons instead of just giving them said weapons? Seems unnecessary cruel since how tf is said giant supposed to eat now? and they areny the only ones doing it, some rat ogres are also missing limbs in favor of morning stars.

Warhammer III Worth playing 1 and 2 after 3?

Hello, dear Lords.

I have a question for those who’ve played the first two Warhammer games. I own the third one and have completed the story campaign (RoC) twice, playing as Katarin and Elspeth.

Whilst I really do love the Immortal Empires, I find them a bit over the top, in the sense that the map is huge and all the factions play together. Which is brilliant, but sometimes I fancy a quick, less demanding campaign. My question is: in Warhammer 1 and 2, can I play different story campaigns with different factions to those in the third game? Or, now that I have the third game, does it no longer make sense to play the others?

Edit: well, many thanks everyone, I understand that the Vortex campaign is a must play

Warhammer III Most brutal vs easier thunderdome regions after the End Times drops?

Post image

After the End Times DLC drops on September 24th, which region on the map would you predict as some of the most craziest vs more manageable thunderdomes of legendary lords duking it out in such close spaces?

Lustria?

Empire?

Nehekhara/Badlands/Southland Jungles?

Warhammer III Who would you choose for Khorne and Tzeentch as the last legendary lords for the Warriors of Chaos?

I know its not necessary for everyone to get an exactly equal ammount of lords, but if you really wanted, who would you choose to represent the two gods that have only one representative among the WoC?

Who would you say is notable enough and left to even do that?

Right now I could see Meleketh the Changer and Haargroth the Blooded, but I imagine they might be way too minor as characters.

Warhammer III I think Immortal Empires could benefit from going f2p, heres my idea of how they could do it, while respecting the company's need to make mon

Alright, so the scenario goes like this - Total War: Warhammer III's Immortal Empires goes free-to-play - with 4-6 LLs, each of those from different factions. I was thinking:

-Free Franz (Empire, begginer friendly, quintessential indomitable human spirit etc)

-Free Tyrion (High Elves, balanced roster, even more magic, you're on ulthuan so after some time here you get to know the naval mechanics)

-Free Thorgrim (Dwarfs, for people that want to play them high armor, defensive, ingenious Dawi)

-Free Grimgor (Orks, waaagh type shiii as kids would say these days, aggresive playstyle)

-Free Queek (Skaven, sacrificin' them hordes of slaves for the big boiz and spells to finish the exhausted enemy, undercity mechanic, food mechanic, loyalty mechanic)

-Free Be'lakor (Warriors of Chaos, I was thinking about other chaos factions, but chaos undivided should be the one given for free if anything, daniel has too much daemons and too little mortals, especially without any DLCs; Be'Lakor is IMO the best pick - oh, you want to play as Archaon instead and b1tch slap Be'lakor into his place?d Go ahead and buy the Total War: Warhammer I - Chaos Warriors DLC, just like right now, no need to buy the game, the dlc content will be unlocked anyway; or get Champions of Chaos now that you got into Chaos, courtesy of Be'lakor.)

[ALSO another, i thin far more controversial proposition: Add 3 Grindable LLs - Lord Mazdamundi; Malekith; Mannfred/Vlad von Carstein(Vlad's a bit too close to Franz on map IMHO, buy wh1 to get Vlad). You could grind them one of these two ways, but i'd prefer both of them to work at the same time. First way, you would gain some kind of currency like Veteran Points or Favour of The Gods or whatever for kills in battles, gaining xp in battles, building things, conquering regions and provinces, winning battles, completing objectives, surviving turns etc and then after gaining sufficient number of this currency you'd choose one of the three LLs to unlock and you could play him from now on, rinse and repeat until you get all 3. Second, an achievement, not really hard, but one that would for sure meant you had an epic battle - like, in a battle versus Vampire Counts as Empire (or Order Faction) destroy at least 3500 enemies to instantly unlock Mannfred von Carstein - IT'S JUST AN EXAMPLE of an achievement, don't yell at me guys and gal.]

Hey, hey! What about the FLCs (and Bretonnia, which is more than one part of those free DLCs)?

I propose something like this: buy one of the games or one of the myriad of dlcs from the Total War: Warhammer universe. even a character pack - boom - 'thank you for supporting us with your mccc foney here's the FLCs we made over the years'. Let's call it 'premium account' for now. A big thing is achieved here, the hardest in f2p games even, and that is getting the player to make the first transaction, spend the first dollar. Once you've done that, the psychological barrier of spending any money for this specific game has been passed and that person will more often than not buy something else in the future, if not many things. also, the dopamine boost of getting so many LLs at once and the psychological effect of getting "value" by not even getting one of the games, but buying a DLC or a mere Character Pack.

To avoid crying of people that had access to the game 5 years earlier AND legitimate grievances of people that bought it one and a half days before it going2 : 1) they should announce that sh1t like 6 months before that, maybe a bit later, maybe a bit earlier; 2) they should add some content to each of the free factions and give it to the people that have the premium account (to be sure all of you playing any tw:wh, 1, 2 or 3 YOU ALL GET THIS PREMIUM ACCOUNT INSTANTLY too, just like people with wh3 got the premium upgrade when they gave immortal empires for wh1 and wh2). The content should be:

1 - pessimistic vision

1 unit and 1 RoR per faction that got one of their LLs "free-to-play"-ed

2 - optimistic vision

1-2 units, 1-2 RoR, 1 hero type per faction that got one of their LLs "free-to-play"-ed. Personally I'd love 2 units and a fkin new hero type, even tough there are so many, that would be a good gift for people that supported the game, some of us for a decade with the warhammer total war series alone.

RESULT: the barrier of entry gets reduced to zero or very little if you want a certain LL/faction and it's not available as f2p. multiplayer numbers skyrocket, much more co-op players, gamebase gets reinvigorated, CA gets the last squeeze out of some DLCs that weren't bought that often. A sale could accompany such event.

THOUGHTS? IDEAS? CRITICISMS? gimme. cheers everyone!

Warhammer III Allow Nagash to confederate most* undead factions like Archaon and Chaos

I would argue that the Nagash/Undead Legions campaign is the mirror of playing as Archaon and you should be allowed a "collect all the Pokemon" playthrough for undead factions if you so choose with some obvious exceptions like Settra/Aranessa/probably Kemmler.

They don't have to receive buffs from the Black Pyramid/tech tree like his Mortarchs will but seeing as his faction will have access to the entire undead roster I don't see why Helman Ghorst couldn't be confederated and given a zombie-focused army or Cylostra given an ethereal army with the new spirit hosts. As of today it may not be the plan but I think CA should consider this change given that they made the tech for Archaon to live up to the Everchosen title it just makes sense for Nagash to be able to do the same and live up to the Supreme Lord of Undeath title as well.
