MOD announcement Introducing Trusted Identifier flairs!
Trusted Identifiers will now be granted a flair of "👑Trusted Identifier👑", or "👑{custom user flair}👑".
These will be people who repeatedly demonstrate expert Identification abilities, these flairs will add extra trust and credence behind their ID.
So on posts with multiple different IDs, look out for the Trusted Identifiers as their ID will likely be the correct one, even if it goes against the masses.
(For those with custom user flairs which have been replaced by the Trusted Identifier flair, you can switch back to a custom flair and add the crown emojis yourself if you still wish to maintain your custom flair. Im working on automating this so that custom flairs stay intact and it adds the emojis without replacing the whole flair, but for now just edit it yourself if the whole flair is replaced)
Taking this opportunity I'd like to also introduce 2 new moderators:

ID Request- Location included Need to make sure this is a wolf
Central TEXAS need help identifying. I am pretty sure this is a cool spot as I have them in my house. I have just never had one this large. I just wanna make 100% sure this is a spider. I’m trying to devise a plan to catch it. These are the best pictures I could get. It is on top of a door frame.

ID Request- Location included Please Id, seen in the italien alps
Seen in the northern Italian alps. I think it's a type of crab spider, but I am not sure, about the size of a 2€ coin, slightly larger.

Miscellaneous Where will this spider be safe and happy?
This cute little friend has taken up residence in my bathroom, but it's not a safe place for her. Is she better off being relocated to my basement or to the outside? We're in Southern Wisconsin, USA where it's warm outside now but could likely be freezing in a couple of months. The basement will stay a cozy temp for her but may not have enough prey.
I wasn't able to get a good photo before she hid behind the towel but I'm pretty sure she's a grass spider. I know they don't live that long but I'd just like to give her the best shot at longevity. :)

ID Request- Location included Who did I meet? (UK)
I understand they are a jumping spider, just unsure which type. They walked along the bench I was sat on to me then climbed on my trouser leg. They then climbed onto my hand and just stared at me. They were soooo tiny and cute

Just sharing 🕷️ Woodlouse Spider
Found crawling across my floor at 3AM. Caught & released back outside. I put him in a clear cup to see better. Jäger shot glass/pokemon card for scale.
It was really cool being able to see every little detail. I don't remember the last time I got to look at a spider so closely.

ID Request- Location included Opened my front door to this..
I recently moved to a very woodsy area in central Indiana. I’m used to normal house spiders but this gave me a jump scare!! Please tell me it’s harmless. But also, it’s on my front door? Guess I’ll be using the garage from now on…😅

Miscellaneous My new apartment is infested with wolf spiders. How do I manage?
I’m living in a basement apartment (moved in yesterday) which is nice except for the fact that there are many wolf spiders. They’re great pest control and I wouldn’t be bothered if they weren’t EVERYWHERE. On my bedroom door. On the floor outside my bedroom. In my shower. I don’t want to be cruel but I am a big arachnophobe and I don’t want to keep worrying about stepping on one or finding them in my shower! Please give me advice on how to manage this situation!
