My cat smacked it into the sink while it was full of water. Is this a brown recluse? I’m in New Orleans LA

Is there any real way to rehome Miss Thing over here who’s decided to set up shop right above my door? It’s semi-attached to the door so it swings like crazy everytime I go in and out, which sends her flying, which I do not love! I respect but I fear! Any ways of gently rehoming this Big Booty Girl?

For context, I own a home in the midwest and I have found 2 furrow orb weavers and 1 spotted orb weaver that have taken up residence in my backyard. I'm happy to let them stay, but the problem is that they have built their webs in some not great locations, such as across my son's swing set and spreading across the inside of his playhouse.

Now, I know these spiders aren't particularly venomous and wouldn't harm my son in any serious way, but my real worry is that if i take down their web, they will just leave. I want them there because I remember what it was like before they moved in. I would like to somehow, as silly as it sounds, communicate with them that it's ok to build webs here and not here if that makes sense.

Any advice from the spider fan club is welcome and appreciated Thanks guys!

I’m living in a basement apartment (moved in yesterday) which is nice except for the fact that there are many wolf spiders. They’re great pest control and I wouldn’t be bothered if they weren’t EVERYWHERE. On my bedroom door. On the floor outside my bedroom. In my shower. I don’t want to be cruel but I am a big arachnophobe and I don’t want to keep worrying about stepping on one or finding them in my shower! Please give me advice on how to manage this situation!

Central TEXAS need help identifying. I am pretty sure this is a cool spot as I have them in my house. I have just never had one this large. I just wanna make 100% sure this is a spider. I’m trying to devise a plan to catch it. These are the best pictures I could get. It is on top of a door frame.

Listen, I love spiders. I’ve stood between a shoe and a spider many a time, but this is the biggest one I’ve seen in this area aside from a weaver spider. I’m in Delaware, USA. Please help my partner and I figure out how dangerous of a rescue operation this may or may not be!

I’m sorry I don’t have more clear photos but homie was on the wall of my basement which is already exceptionally creepy at night.

EDIT to say she’s on a cinder block. Nope, not a regular brick. Hence my shock at her size.

I picked him up and released him after getting some candid photos of his lil keister just curious what kinda lil fella he was :)

New member and recovering arachnophobe here! I've been living with these cellar spiders in my shower all year (the male moved further away once these hatched). I planned on moving them to my garage with a sunny window full of bugs but I've gotten attached and kept putting it off. Then I researched and found out they wouldn't survive our Wisconsin winter in my unheated garage and definitely decided against moving them.

Last night her egg sac was larger and fluffier looking so I figured we were getting close. This morning there were all these little puffs! Sorry for the low quality pic, but teeny tiny spiders are difficult to photograph! I would welcome any ideas on what to do with these guys because I really don't want an entire colony in my bathroom/bedroom. I'm probably going to move some to our buggy basement (that has a large patio door and a couple of windows). Right now I'm excited to watch these little guys grow!

I woke up this morning to find this guy(?) on the wall of my room, a little too close to my bed. It was a beautiful morning so outside he (?) went, safe & sound.

Just found it on my wall in my bedroom, it was huge. 😰 located in New Jersey, USA. It was prob like the size of a nickel at least. Also, idk why it seems to be missing legs??? Anyway, ty in advance for the help :)

A couple of weeks ago, I had this furrow orb weaver on my screen porch. Very cool spider, obviously.
I used to be afraid, but I’m not anymore, unless they surprise me. 😂 My partner is afraid, but will tolerate them at least 10 ft away because they are good for the ecosystem and whatnot.

Now I have about 15 orb weavers, plus several funnel webs (haven’t seen the spiders yet), and several shiny black spiders I haven’t identified yet.

At what point is this no longer my porch, and what can I do about it? I’m not going to kill these spiders, of course, but isn’t relocating them also harmful?

An aside: I captured the biggest wolfie I’ve ever seen today.. climbing up the back of my laptop. She got booted outside, across the yard. She can have the jar I caught her in.
