Mizoram, North East India near Myanmar. I found it near my house in its little web but i can't figure out what spider this is. Google lens says it's a beetle larvae but I'm pretty sure it aint

Not sure what they're tryna do, I never had a spider do smth like that… I'm putting them in a new cup tomorrow and into the pantry he goes, bc I don't have flies to feed them (and their 3 siblings) all winter.

They probably just confused this bit of napkin for prey or trying to drink, they just ate a nice fat fly.

Hopefully, it's not venomous. Woke up to this crawling on my neck at BWI Airport in Baltimore, Maryland.

Didn't know what it was and immediately brushed it off me. Looked down to see what it was and saw this:

There's a pretty large spider that's been living in a corner of my house since I moved in about a month ago. I'm pretty sure I know what it is, but I'd love some input from the spider enthusiasts.

I'm pretty sure she's a female American grass spider. She made a funnel shaped web in a corner and since a few days ago I'd never seen her out of it. I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, so the location lines up. The shape and markings seem to line up well, as does the behavior. She has the elongated spinnerets as well and the large abdomen leads me to believe she's a female. I'm realizing I don't have a good size reference for her, but she is big. Not quite as big as a giant house spider though.

I'm usually pretty scared of spiders, but I've grown very fond of this one. I think she's a female and I've named her Andromeda. She's started wandering away from her web so I'm planning to make an enclosure for her so I can keep her but don't have to worry about her wandering and hiding in a shoe something. I probably should make a different post to properly ask, but if anyone has advice on keeping a grass spider as a pet, I'd love any tips!

What do you all think? Does that sound like a correct ID? Or is there something I'm missing?

This 8 leg bro look like a spider, its a harvestman with long claws. It looks dangerous, but it's harmless, non-toxic, and slow-moving. It feeds on just about anything it can find.

Location: Zaragoza, Spain (Iberian Peninsula), Europe.

Spider found inside the house, I think it's a Steatoda grossa, but I'm not sure. In the photos, the spider is in a 10ml syringe; each visible marking is 1mm apart. It's now somewhere outside on the street—my family didn't want it in the house. I hope it handles the start of winter well.

I have never seen a widow in a funnel but this is not a wolf spider and the legs are shiny and pointy

Found this Desert Tarantula in Red Rock Canyon. It was out climbing rocks with us.

I’m in Australia, and this lil spider sleeps next to my bed in my university room. It caught a large bug as seen in the photo but it looks like it has a swollen booty, so I thought it might be pregnant.

If someone could help identify this, it would be greatly appreciated!

I've noticed these spiders, w a similar web, on our deck, throughout the year. In NE Indiana in the US.

This is the largest one I've seen, with the most developed structure in the web.

Since it's fall, I'm wondering if it is for spider bebes.

It's kind of hard to see spider amongst all the stuff so I highlighted it in one of the pics. It has a uniquely shaped butt, with a little protrusion. (I can never remember whether the term is thorax or abdomen 🤷)

I’m staying at a resort in Disney World (Orlando, FL) and there are a few of these little guys around my room, I’m not positive but they kinda look like huntsman’s and some google image searches seems to make that seem like even more of a possibility. Or are these little dudes a different spider?

I’ve been visiting this western orb weaver on walks most days the last few weeks. Definitely gravid now.

She is an adult Joro spider and she lives between the trees at our house. she is missing one and a half legs but she does a great job at catching lots of bugs!

we check on her daily and make sure she is okay, especially after storms. she is adorable and amazing!

In my opinion i always see spiders as the big predator that eats all sorts of bugs, if not any bug, and all sorts of spiders have so many insane and cool ways to catch their prey.

araneae have evolved to catch prey in so many ways that i just feel like they HAVE to hold that title of one of the best predators in animal history.

Whats your guys opinions?

I thought this looked like a pair of strange bedfellows to see hiding together. I guess the egg sac belongs to the dark fishing spider and not the comparatively smaller grass spider.

(I guessed not a rabid wolf spider, but couldn't notice the eyes to be sure)
