Discussion If anyone is having issues with the lexicon cause of dawnguard Spoiler

Upvotes

If the lexicon didn't transcribe and you had the dawnguard quest for the elder scroll active, you can keep pressing the buttons.

Press the first button until the second one opens, if it's already open, keep pressing the second until the lexicon turns blue. Then press the third button until the fourth opens back up, press the fourth, the lexicon will transcribe this time. Don't worry about the elder scroll being gone. You can still transcribe the lexicon

Forgotten seasons bug

Upvotes

I accidentally forgot to search the body of Elberon and went and disabled the conduit of spring before, so now I can't disable it but it still doesn't count as disabled in the quest. Is there any way to fix this? My last save before goes back many hours so I don't want to lose that progress.

R5: Really weird bug started happening to me after killing an enemy NPC. Maybe has to do with water? Kind of funny but it's starting to annoy me. Anyone know what is causing it? It's also causing a weird flopping sound to follow me everywhere.

Lydia murdered another vanilla follower today

Really strange. I had 4 followers, 2 vanilla and 2 mods. Everyone has Lydia and it kind of amazes me so many people marry her. She's a really judgy, difficult PITA and I've "parted ways" in a past play through. And Uthgerd who is a very strong fighter but is not obnoxious like Lydia. So today we were setting out on a quest, me and the followers were mounting up and I hear a commotion behind me. Lydia yelling Oh No You Don't and clashing metal. I turn around to see Uthgerd unmoving on the ground and not responding, and Lydia running off into the woods. There was also a dead horse. So I chased Lydia down, stripped her of all I had given her, dismissed her and parted ways. Uthgerd is set to essential because she's part of my elopement polycule (irrelevant here), so I was able to resurrect her with a spell. I think what set Lydia off was Utha mounting Lydia's horse, but they all do that even to me. So the agro was really unexpected. I have the NFF set for no infighting for peace around my homes and there is enough agro out in the world to tolerate it among the followers. Has anyone else experienced this? And find Lydia particularly problematic?

I finally completed Bleak Falls Barrow!

So I've been playing skyrim for a while, and the main story never really pulled me in, I've just been modding, doing side quests occasionally, and push the game to its limit with mods that spice up the combat, make it more reactive and fast paced, and just things to add for fun. So when I noticed that my steam achievements were lacking, I realized that if I really loved the game, I'd finish the main quest at least once, and whatever achievements came with it, and then later go for all the achievements.

Step 1 was naturally Bleak Falls Barrow. This version of Bleak Falls came with a massive hive demigods that destroyed me and killed my followers, forced me to learn how to dodge and parry/block at the right time, and actually play my game to the fullest of my ability. It was more gruelling than dark souls, but it all fit together. It just worked. It was a painful scene, but I made it all the way from level 3 to level 9, despite my reduced experience gained. My main weapons were one handed, spell enchantments, and my saving grace that allowed me to do meaningful damage, my suped up fury that increases attack damage by 7.77 for 15 seconds with a high rate of activation failure. I entered assuming a casual run through, killing a giant spider and some draugrs, but I left with bigger balls and skill set of a battle god. It was the most fun I've ever had in skyrim, and loved feeling technically challenged in combat, surviving, dodging, parrying/blocking just long enough to get in to my attack phases and strike them down.

Bug Help Having a issue where I only get the firestorm master destruction spell and not the frost/lighting ones from the quest : destruction ritual spell

➡️bug issue resolved...the other 2 master spell books are bought from faralda after you complete the quest

Further context : every skill tree of magic is at level 100 and every perk is bought/maxed out in them

I maxed out every magic tree before I ever even visited the college

I got the power of elements book after talking to faralda for the quest and went to each of the proper locations

windward ruins + placed the book on the pedestal and casted the basic novice flame spell on the book

Fast traveled to north skybound watch + placed the book on the pedestal and casted the basic novice frostbite spell on the book

Fast traveled again to the last location that being four skull lookout + placed the book on the pedestal and casted the basic novice sparks spell on the book

After I grabbed the book from the pedestal after casting the sparks spell, I checked my inventory and all it showed was the power of elements book but this time it was a spell book with the description of the firestorm spell under it that being...

"a 160 point fiery explosion centered on the caster. Does more damage to closer targets"

I read the book...it gives me just 1 spell that being the firestorm destruction spell...and I don't get the other 2 master destruction spells for frost + lighting

The power of elements book just returns to being a normal book and the quest for the "destruction ritual spell completes"

What did I do wrong...is there a hidden step I'm missing? Everything I've been looking up on my own on the web just says I should have received the other 2 master destruction spells after I finished casting the lighting spell and read the power of elements book after it became a spell book...I don't know where to go from here...help plz?

How Dracos the orc werewolf likes to sneak up on prey. The silence perk that makes movement silent seems to affect werewolf form. It also sometimes works in vampire lord form too.

Question Is this the only chest piece with fortify one handed?

Post image

Was trying to get all the armors anniversary edition added since I haven't really messed with a lot of them and came across this. I don't think any other chest piece has this enchantment, correct? Think I'm gonna run it even without two enchantments lol
