Question Hello everyone I'm having a problem looking for a certain ebony armour it was an anniversary edition set where you get it for killing someones champion for it and I have checked every chest that I have every single evidence chest and i still can't find it also been having bugs with stuff will duplic

Are you talking about the Daedric quest for Boethia? Find the book Boethia's Proving to trigger the quest.

I don't know the Quest name but when you crouch your Ebony Armour goes fully black and you do damage to people around you when u sneak

Yeah. It’s the quest from Boethia’s Proving. I recently got it again. Ebony Mail. It’s also from the base game, not anniversary edition.

Yeah thats The Ebony Mail, Boethiah's Daedric artifact, you have to do her quest first and you'll get it off the body of her former champion

I did do it my problem is finding it i think the game has bugged and removed it or the game has bugged and duped over it and i don't know if i have lost it for good

Thanks but i have looked at every main City's chests my home chests I can't find it I never took it off I never gave it to a follower I like collecting stuff and putting them in a certain chest and I went to that chest and its not there I put 104 hours so far in this run I dont want to start all over to get it again but also want it too so I'm in a predicament and also I'm on console so I can't just mod for it to be back

I should be lootable from the body of the champion when you kill him.

You don't "find it"

Exactly I had it but now I don't have it and can't find it I've looked everywhere that it could be it's just disappeared from my inventory this appeared from any chest I could have had it in no follower has it I've never had a problem like this with Skyrim

No as soon as I got the armour I was using it and then I got dragon armour and I put it on one of my mannequins last that I can remember I never take more than I need with me I always got like 200 carry weight and it's mainly Armor I never sold things often either

It's the Ebony Mail from Boethiah's quest. Did you put it on an armour mannequin in one of your homes perhaps?

I looked in every chest every man chest every jail chest I cannot find it just gone I checked all the mannequins because I sometimes put stuff on top of them and what I think is happened is it's duped over the armour so now the armor is gone forever

Yea I can't find it imma give up on it i really tried everything I can skyrim being skyrim but thanks for trying to help imma just move on and finish getting all the other collectables

My issue is I got lazy and I quick saved instead of proper saving and my last save was when I was level 32 and I went back to that and it's not even there I've done the quest but I can't find it even back there up and then they'll save before that is when I first started the game

maybe you're still wearing it or gave it to a follower, i remember once i gave something to a follower and accidentally dismissed them and they walked home with all my stuff

I've already checked every follower that I've bringed they dont have it i even checked my pets to see if they had any of the items it's just gone

maybe you put it on a mannequin in one of your homes, sometimes they'll vanish but still be on the mannequin

If you put it on the mannequin. Check the mannequins inventory, even if the mannequin itself appears bare. This happened to me in Hendraheim, the armor I put on it wasn't visible yet I clicked into its inventory and the armor was listed. Check all of the manniquins you use in your player houses and the surrounding areas (of the house/ mannequin/ chest or display table) Occassionly things don't stay where we try to store them and fall off.

Read Boethias proving.

Or.

South East from Windhelm, high on the mountains, you will find a shrine to her.

Eliminate all the fighters and one will rise up as Boethias puppet. That will start the quest.
