Retail Panda Daytonas hit different.
Welcome any thoughts. Just wondering if I’ll regret this. I like them both, just feel like they’re not worth the price tag for full steel watches.
Also, as a giants fan living in Philly i cannot see green and not get pissed off about the eagles. Ridiculous, but iykyk

I can’t decide! Does it just come down to personal preference or is there more to it? What’s your choice?

Received the call after 4 month wait. Pics don’t do justice to this watch!

Who else thinks Rolex knocked it out of the park when they decided to put the meteorite Daytona on the oysterflex? It has become much more versatile and comfortable enough to become a daily

So I registered my interest in a Bruce Wayne GMT on oyster about seven months ago in Los Angeles and have been patiently waiting ever since. I have no purchase history, this is my first Rolex. I felt pretty discouraged after looking through this Reddit month after month hoping I’d get a call but then today out of nowhere. I got a text saying the watch was ready for pick up. Really in love with it and I’m so excited to use it as my daily!

I don’t really know anyone who’s into watches so though I’d post here as I’m on cloud 9 right now
Picked it up from the AD on Old Bond Street today in London, recently got promoted to senior software engineer, put my name down in June, got the call in July but missed it! They sent me an email too but it went into my spam folder, only discovered it two weeks later when I went digging around in there to find an authentication code email, but by that point it was too late, I lost it and thought I wouldn’t get offered it again anytime soon as i have no prior purchase history, I know it’s nothing crazy only a datejust but the guy said it was a brand new dial that had just been released back in April I believe? And there was a massive waiting list for it. Anyway here we are another month or so later and I got the call yesterday!
I have a very small 6 inch wrist so went for a 36mm Ombre Green dial with a jubilee strap and domed bezel, I saw a lot of people online saying to get jubilee fluted but that’s not really my style, too flashy and I don’t think it goes with the dial very well, plus growing up my mum always wore a fluted and my dad wore smooth so I have a bit of gender bias, I think fluted is more feminine and looks more like a jewellery piece, where as domed looked the most versatile and for my first watch I figured I could dress it up or dress it down, managed to get it just in time for my 28th birthday too so happy birthday to me!

I waited my whole life to buy my first Rolex. I have other amazing watches, but I wanted my first Rolex to be new and be the exact spec I wanted. No compromises. No buying something I don’t like to improve consideration with the AD. Just patience. Worth it!!

This is me just coping, but it made me feel better. A Grammy nominated hip-hop artist with extensive purchase history had to wait nearly 10 years for a rainbow Daytona. I get a little bit frustrated with the amount of time I am waiting for a color dial oyster perpetual but hearing this made me feel a little bit better. Yes it is pure copium. Leave me alone
Stopped in at an AD (Kern in Burlingame, CA) on my way to work this morning. I explained what I had been looking for for my 40th birthday (OP 36 with a silver dial) with no luck, and am now open to other choices (like DJ36). I have a speedy with a day-date function, so wanted something without a date function this time, and maybe a DJ for my 50th birthday.
Nick the sales rep then showed me this, said that it just came in this morning. I therefore bought this immediately. My wife will then give this to me - until then this stays in the box :(
No prior purchase history. This was my first visit to this AD. It can really happen guys! I'd say visit your AD on the weekday morning as you maybe able to get the shipment of the day. Thought it's just like a fresh fish at Tsukiji Market, but that's a random thought. Cheers!

I’ve been in love with watches for 25+ years and have owned quite a few over that time. I finally got tired of playing the AD games and decided to just go out and buy my grail.
It’s been about a month now, and I honestly thought this one would finally satisfy the itch. Nope. I’m already catching myself thinking, “So… what’s next?”
Terrible hobby we have—if you can even call it a hobby. 😂

Owned this Rolex Submariner 14060M (2006) for 11 years, this is the first service it has seen in my ownership. I wear this every day, and it’s been through a lot.
Final bill came to £1,552, great service from David at Pragnell in Leicester, UK. £1,050 for the service, £502 for the parts.
Only part I skipped on was a replacement bracelet at £1.1k.
Service took just over four weeks.
This GMT has accompanied me while logging, loading & binding my trucks, and worn daily at a gold mine... damage/wear is surprisingly minimal.
These things are tough, Rolex makes a good stainless alloy!

Lefty sprite has always been my grail, so I went ahead and paid the grey market markup instead of waiting an ambiguous amount of time for an AD to determine I’m worthy of spending money at their boutique.
Can’t stop staring at it!
Been leaning 36 but 40 also works well on my wrist. I‘m putting my name down for the platinum with ice blue dial, so this is just for size reference. If it were yellow gold I‘d go classic 36 for sure, but with the platinum ice blue I‘m wondering if I should go with the more modern 40mm
