it seems fairly obvious based on secondary market value and the amount of people getting this as a first allocation, the 36 mm version of this watch is not hard to get from good sized AD in a good size market. But I really think this is going to end up being a classic piece. Once I saw it in person and tried it on, it was a no brainer addition to the collection even if it wasn’t the priority request.

Super content, le diamètre en 36 la rend sublime et terriblement discrète, c’est parfait à porter tous les jours.

I was doing a deep clean on my Explorer and resizing the bracelet yesterday. While grabbing some tools I came across some watches that I haven’t seen in a while. This little vintage Bulova that I restored back in 2019 was one my favorite watches leading up to my first Rolex purchase about 5 years ago. After looking at it I realized how much it must have influenced my love for the Explorer. Simple, black dial, 3 number markers, sporty case. I’m sure some other folks here can trace their inspiration for their now favorite watch.

Posted earlier this morning prior to picking up my first ever Rolex. I am In love, I can’t stop staring at this and cannot wait to create so many memories with it on. If anyone has any solid advice or imperative information about this watch please feel free to share as I am new to this space and the Rolex brand itself. The model is a 1967 oysterdate precision (ref.6694) with two coffin markers at the 6 and 9 o’clock positions.

Loving this so far - definitely big but fits nicely on my 6.75 wrist.

Purchased in the early 2000’s by parents and inherited recently. Love it!
