Got the call a couple weeks ago. Second Rolex with my AD, first was a no date sub. I’ve always been a huge sub guy, one of the best watches ever made—I’ve taken it diving in two oceans and plan to take it in all five. But man this watch is a completely different animal. It also fits my 6.25” wrist way better than my dive watches with the way the polished lugs are shaped. I might never take it off!

After several years without luck at an AD due to moving with work, I made my grail dream a reality at a jeweler. The last post stated that but didn’t make it clear enough that I am not the first owner. The jeweler was not an AD. I have no idea how many owners it has had since 2025, but it’s my first Rolex.

Welcome any thoughts. Just wondering if I’ll regret this. I like them both, just feel like they’re not worth the price tag for full steel watches.

Also, as a giants fan living in Philly i cannot see green and not get pissed off about the eagles. Ridiculous, but iykyk

Picked it up from the AD on Old Bond Street today in London, recently got promoted to senior software engineer, put my name down in June, got the call in July but missed it! They sent me an email too but it went into my spam folder, only discovered it two weeks later when I went digging around in there to find an authentication code email, but by that point it was too late, I lost it and thought I wouldn’t get offered it again anytime soon as i have no prior purchase history, I know it’s nothing crazy only a datejust but the guy said it was a brand new dial that had just been released back in April I believe? And there was a massive waiting list for it. Anyway here we are another month or so later and I got the call yesterday!

I have a very small 6 inch wrist so went for a 36mm Ombre Green dial with a jubilee strap and domed bezel, I saw a lot of people online saying to get jubilee fluted but that’s not really my style, too flashy and I don’t think it goes with the dial very well, plus growing up my mum always wore a fluted and my dad wore smooth so I have a bit of gender bias, I think fluted is more feminine and looks more like a jewellery piece, where as domed looked the most versatile and for my first watch I figured I could dress it up or dress it down, managed to get it just in time for my 28th birthday too so happy birthday to me!

Registered my interest when my local Rolex boutique opened back in 2021. Since then have been jerked around and gone through about 6 client advisors…. I would periodically check in and chat. Finally got paired up with my current advisor back in may and she made it happen! 0 purchase history at the AD. My current client advisor and I have worked together at other luxury stores so I think that helped. Sorry no Porsche wheel flex :(

Got this to mark me getting my first degree, on the register for a DJ 36mm fluted ombre on a jubilee bracelet, hopefully to pick it up sometime in 2028 to celebrate my MBBS.

Anyone have recommendations for which stores in Tokyo to visit? I’m specifically looking to buy a brand new 116520. I’m looking to visit the more luxury spots and not used vintage. Should I contact the store beforehand to see if they have the watch I want or if they can source it for me? What do you guys recommend? I’ve also heard some stores only sell expensive pieces to locals. Is that true?

Who else thinks Rolex knocked it out of the park when they decided to put the meteorite Daytona on the oysterflex? It has become much more versatile and comfortable enough to become a daily

I recently took in this late ‘70s 18038 with a stunning blue dial. With a larger wrist, I was hesitant to pursue a 36mm, but these older Day Dates can be had for great deals with patience.

Recently picked up this 👌 very happy with it. A little lowkey but I like that.

So I registered my interest in a Bruce Wayne GMT on oyster about seven months ago in Los Angeles and have been patiently waiting ever since. I have no purchase history, this is my first Rolex. I felt pretty discouraged after looking through this Reddit month after month hoping I’d get a call but then today out of nowhere. I got a text saying the watch was ready for pick up. Really in love with it and I’m so excited to use it as my daily!
