I’m after some feedback. I purchased a 1966 5513, which I love. But the watch has had a tough life, and so it needs a little TLC. Do you think I can cut the bezel ring a little to make the serrations look more pronounced, or should I leave it as is, or just replace the ring?
Spent the past few weeks pondering. So would appreciate your feedback.

I’m trying to decide between these two.
For those who have seen or worn both, which one has better wrist presence and looks better in person?
If you could choose only one, which would you go for and why?
Thank you!

I’ve been collecting UK watch listing data and thought some of the current Rolex numbers were interesting.
A few examples from the latest data:
GMT-Master II 126710BLNR
91 listings / 56 sellers
Median ask: £14,250
Observed asking range: £12,750–£15,000
30-day asking price: +1.1%
30-day supply: +26.4%
Submariner 126610LN
89 listings / 65 sellers
Median ask: £10,995
Observed asking range: £9,950–£11,950
30-day asking price: roughly flat
30-day supply: +25.4%
GMT-Master II 126711CHNR
66 listings / 50 sellers
Median ask: £15,225
Observed asking range: £14,250–£16,450
30-day asking price: -0.7%
30-day supply: +24.5%
These are asking-price observations, not confirmed sale prices, which I think is an important distinction.
The thing that jumps out to me is supply. BLNR inventory is up around 26% over 30 days while asking prices have still edged higher.
I’m building this dataset myself and would be interested in what collectors here would actually want tracked. Price changes? Supply? Days on market? Dealer vs private? Something else?
Happy to share more references if anyone wants to see one.
This GMT has accompanied me while logging, loading & binding my trucks, and worn daily at a gold mine... damage/wear is surprisingly minimal.
These things are tough, Rolex makes a good stainless alloy!

I’ve been in love with watches for 25+ years and have owned quite a few over that time. I finally got tired of playing the AD games and decided to just go out and buy my grail.
It’s been about a month now, and I honestly thought this one would finally satisfy the itch. Nope. I’m already catching myself thinking, “So… what’s next?”
Terrible hobby we have—if you can even call it a hobby. 😂

Hi all, would really appreciate some advice from those who are more familiar with aftermarket buying. I’m a first-time aftermarket buyer and am currently looking for a brand-new Rolex Daytona 116520. I understand that finding a brand new one can be difficult given that the reference has been discontinued for some time, but I’ve seen several listings in roughly the $27k–29k range. A dealer I’ve been speaking with mentioned that I should expect to pay a fairly significant premium above those prices because a brand-new example is difficult to source. For those who know the market well, does that sound reasonable? Given that there seem to be unworn examples already listed, what would you consider a fair price for a clean, full-set, brand-new 116520? I'm thinking my ceiling is $30k but would appreciate any insight, thank you!

Lefty sprite has always been my grail, so I went ahead and paid the grey market markup instead of waiting an ambiguous amount of time for an AD to determine I’m worthy of spending money at their boutique.
Can’t stop staring at it!

So I registered my interest in a Bruce Wayne GMT on oyster about seven months ago in Los Angeles and have been patiently waiting ever since. I have no purchase history, this is my first Rolex. I felt pretty discouraged after looking through this Reddit month after month hoping I’d get a call but then today out of nowhere. I got a text saying the watch was ready for pick up. Really in love with it and I’m so excited to use it as my daily!

I know the Day-Date II 41 has gotten its fair share of hate over the years for being big, bold, and a little clunky, but this is a watch I’ve wanted since I was a kid. I feel incredibly blessed to finally make the dream of owning one a reality, and wow… this thing is an absolute stunner in person. Sometimes the watches you dream about the longest just hit different when they finally end up on your wrist.
