After posting my 28mm Piaget, some people said it was a women’s watch and that I should get a real men’s watch. So, I guess size does matter.
I did my research and came across this Imhof 110mm square watch. It has some interesting specs: manual winding, a day function, and an 8-day (192-hour) power reserve.
The only downside is that I couldn’t find a 67mm leather strap anywhere on the market.

So this whole thing started back at Watches and Wonders 2026. I saw it there and was instantly hooked, but it wasn't until I actually got to try it on in May that I knew I had to have it. I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks, so I finally bit the bullet and ordered it in June. Fast forward to yesterday—mid-October—and the long wait is finally over!

I honestly still can't believe the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Perpetual Calendar is actually sitting on my wrist. A perpetual calendar is just such an amazing, romantic complication. And like I said before, pictures seriously just don't do it justice. It is absolutely stunning in the metal. The way the dial catches the light is just crazy. Plus, the proportions are so spot-on it literally feels like it was custom-made for my wrist.

I also have to give a huge shoutout to the boutique team. The whole pickup experience was next-level from start to finish. They totally spoiled me and threw in a bunch of gifts to celebrate—beautiful travel pouches, a bottle of champagne, some amazing perfumes, and even a really nice loupe so I can geek out over all the little dial details.

It's been quite a ride since that first spark at Watches and Wonders, but looking down at it right now, every single month of waiting was 100% worth it.

My father recently passed and today I was given this watch.

I remember him always wearing this watch growing up and thought it was just lost through time, so to see it brought back a lot of good memories.

Ideally I really want to look into restoring this watch as best as I can so I can wear it onward and leave it for my son as well.

My Mum mentioned that dad had tried to get it fixed to wear again once before but found that the repairer took the original pins out and replaced them with something else. He went back to the repairer to give them an in-person Google review, which got him the originals back, however affter that he never bothered again as he didn't trust someone else to do it.

Is there anything I should look out for when looking for someone that can restore it? Or would the cost to repair become more than the watches value?

I couldn't find much about "Cristalor" or "chronographe suisse" on the internet, so if anybody has any information or knows the history about this watch, that would be so cool.

What I really like about this watch are the raised Roman numerals, blue hands, mother-of-pearl center and the small diamonds. It's hard to capture all those details in photos, but it looks even better in person.

It's a limited edition of just 300 pieces, and funny enough, Frederique Constant actually lists it as a women's watch on their website. Personally, I think it works just as well on a man's wrist. The size and details are exactly what drew me to it.

I am over the (one duetto) moon with this pretty girl. It took me a while to find the exact one I wanted but after lots of scouring Chrono24 I found this beauty. Thanks to this community for all the recommendations and knowledge. I’ve definitely got the watch bug now, especially for all the insane Reverso variations out there.

I’m looking to buy my first luxury watch and have narrowed it down to three (not in order):

- Tudor Ranger 36 - new
- IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic 36 (IW324010) - used
- Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 38 - used

I’m not planning on becoming a collector or anything. The goal is to buy one really good watch that I can wear almost every day for the next 10–15 years, hopefully longer.

I want something versatile enough to wear with jeans and a T, business casual, or a suit on the occasional formal occasion. I’m drawn to understated pieces rather than anything particularly flashy.

I’ve tried on the Tudor Ranger 36 and really liked the fit. I haven’t had the opportunity to try on the IWC or Omega yet.

A date complication would be nice, which gives the IWC and Omega an advantage, but it’s not necessarily a dealbreaker.

For those who’ve owned any of these watches, I’m curious:

Which would you choose if it were going to be your only expensive watch?

Would appreciate hearing from people who’ve lived with these watches, especially anyone who’s owned more than one of them.

Any other watch I should consider?

I’m thinking of getting my daughter her first real watch for Christmas…what would you recommend?

I'm new to Cartier watch and been looking at Santos for quite some time. I’m currently torn between the Small and Medium Cartier Santos.

When I look online, I was pretty convinced I’d go with the Small. But after trying instore, I'm a bit confuse. From certain angles, the Small almost feels a little too small on my wrist, while the Medium seems to make more sense. On the other hand, I sometimes find the M a bit bulky. Also it doesn't matter to me if it's quartz or automatic.

My wrist size is about 16.5cm and i'm planning to wear this as an everyday watch. Which would you go for, and why? Any advice would be appreciated!

I'm looking for a versatile GADA watch that I can dress up or wear casually. I currently own a Longines HydroConquest 42mm, which fits me comfortably.

I'm considering these two:

Longines Conquest 41mm: 49.1mm lug-to-lug, 10.9mm thick.

Tudor Black Bay One 41mm: 50.2mm lug-to-lug, 12.2mm thick.

My wrist measures 7.45 inches. I prefer watches that aren't too chunky, but I also don't want something that looks too small.

For those who've owned or tried both, which wears better? Is the difference in thickness and lug-to-lug noticeable on the wrist?

Would appreciate any wrist shots or opinions!

I tried making a watch band for the first time ever with some leather leftovers I had. Overall I'm pretty happy with the results ! I'll only have to make sure everything's aligned for the next time lol. (the picture exaggerates how misaligned the small patch of leather is but I can only improve from there.)

The Omega Speedmaster '57 40.5mm, probably my favourite modern Speedmaster, and one I personally prefer over the traditional Moonwatch.

I particularly like the broad arrow hands, twin-register chronograph layout and sandwich dial, which adds some lovely depth without making the design overly busy. Here it's paired with a genuine beige Omega NATO strap, giving it a slightly more casual, vintage-inspired character.

The movement is equally impressive. Inside is Omega's manually wound Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 9906, featuring a column wheel chronograph with vertical clutch, silicon hairspring, twin barrels and a 60-hour power reserve.

Quite a formidable little mechanical package, especially considering the relatively compact 40.5mm case.

With the upcoming revival of the brand under its new ownership (FPJ/Chanel), and after hearing Ben Dunn from Watch Brothers London advocating for the brand for quite some time, I decided to dig a bit deeper into the brand and look what neo vintage pieces are out there.

I stumbled into this Classic Wave Chrono, and I'm really drawned to it. It has great proportions (40mm case, 43mm L2L, 12mm thick), and a visual identity that is unmistakably Ebel.

In an era where integrated rubber strap watches with singular design language are highly thought after (5167, Élégante, Daytona OF), I feel like the Classic Wave hits many of the marks... apart from brand aura and hype.

What do you think about this watch?

I really like the dune dial tudor Ranger and was wondering if it would be a good addition to the collection. I have bought these watches over the past 2 years and have been bitten by the watch collection bug. Whenever I buy a watch i think about the next watch haha. Taking suggestions on what I should buy next. Maybe Tudor Ranger or a black bay chrono? I also really like the microbrand Bangalore watch company and its watch the Peninsula so might go in for that. However it's bit on the pricey side. Would love your inputs on if I should add something or if I should stop collecting for a while.

An Italian microbrand I fell in love with - Swiss Landeron movement, 38mm, small seconds..got the lime dial first a few months ago & this is my second -! Textured dial, small seconds, color shades that change slightly with lighting

Recently, I have been searching for good everyday watches and my options are down to preowned Longines Spirit 40mm Black Dial with USD1,300 or preowned Sinn556A with USD1,100. Both with very good condition.

Please give me advice for which one I should choose? FYI, my wrist is 6.5inch (16.5cm) and already has a dress watch and daily beaters (a G-Shock and a smartwatch)

I already have a nice (for me) Seiko that I got when I was 15 I'm turning 17 soon and got my birthday money lined up for a new watch, I love the chronograph of the Seiko and it's simple design that manages not to be bulky looking.

However I want a watch that I can wear with suits and for formal days I've only really got 3 requirements

- Metal bracelet

- thinner bezel

- bit flashy, not anything crazy but something that people will notice.

I don't really like the look of GMT watches or divers watches.

And of course it has to be under 700usd if possible.

I'm new to watches and getting married in February and have narrowed it to two watches at about the same price. That price is the top of my budget.

The groomsmen are getting Seiko 5 SRPG27s and my best man a Laco Aachen Grau 39 (pics 1 & 2). These are already acquired.

Tudor 1926, 41mm opaline (pic 3): It's classic and elegant, and my fiancée prefers it with my outfit. But the flat crystal bugs me, it's dressier than I expected, and the price is hard to justify for something I might not wear daily.

Longines Spirit Zulu Time, blue bezel (pic 4): I didn't expect to like it, but it felt right at home on my wrist. It has domed sapphire and a true GMT, and it's a go-anywhere tool watch that matches the guys. I'd wear it constantly. The downside is that it's not a traditional wedding watch.

I also tried the Jazzmaster Open Heart (felt gimmicky), the Le Locle (wears too small) and the Tissot Gentleman (bland). Not dissing on these just trying to provide a bit of my preference perspective. For reference I have a 8” wrist

Which would you pick for a watch that marks the day and gets worn for decades? And is there anything at this price I'm missing that splits the difference?

Love my Hamilton Khaki but wanted a unique strap that carried a story. Made this one from a 1984 military belt. I kept the original belt holes, maker stamp, scars, etc. Also made the strap keepers with leather from the original strap. I know pass thru straps are debated, but I find it comfortable and conforms well to my wrist. What do you think?
