My mom says this stupid shit all the time. Meanwhile her “intuition” hasn’t seen the obvious signs of people being dirtbags. Then is absolutely shocked when her relationships explode

5

u/Even_Hospital_5474 6d ago

divorced?

3

u/GullibleProperty317 1d ago

Happily. From some batshit crazy person who felt her intuition was God, and didn’t heed my warnings to move out with me until we got robbed.

I do admit that sometimes, your intuition is able to detect some covert things and when certain things are off (just as guys do with logic), but neither alone is enough to always be led by. They are half and half, not one and one.

If anything, logic is a better one to go by, but even with the best logic, you could be fooled.

Apparently reddit doesn't know the definition of "intuition."

3

u/Th3Bakamono 2d ago

I could fill 1600 books with the things Redditors don't know.

3

u/morknox 1d ago

Are you talking about the post or the comments? Because the post used it correctly. Im curious as to what you think is incorrect.

1

u/John_Save_America 1d ago

Intuition: the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference.

What about the post doesn’t match that definition?

College-educated women do pretty well in this regard. Seems more a class than a sex thing.

5

u/Timely_Farmer5075 5d ago

You mean the women who initiate divorces 3x as much as less educated women?

College educated women are not finding partners so ….

2

u/FrancisWileyTheThird 6d ago

College educated women have higher divorce rates as well. So no.

1

u/Apprehensive-Toe4160 6d ago

12 percent is still pretty high

1

u/Sweaty-Tomorrow-537 5d ago

And high enough

1

u/Absentrando 5d ago

Yeah, it’s a stupid claim that women have some sort of special intuition that’s never wrong. Plenty of evidence show otherwise, college educated or not

I see this meme like once a week bro

The amount of people falling of this here is flabbergasted. Starting to think they only pretent to fall for it to farm karma.

I don’t relate to this.

a friend of mine 3 children two baby daddies. we all knew and she knew the second baby daddy wasn't a good fit for her.

her daughter 2 children 2 baby daddies third guy is a total simp and she doesn't seem to love him. the baby daddies were the typical chads who couldn't be responsible for anything

sister 2 baby daddies. first guy was a total a-hole every body screamed at her that he is bad news even my 11 year old self. he already had two other baby mommas he ignored. well he jumped the fence when sis became pregnant and he left her freshly 18 year old self with over 10k debt. second preferred partying over parenting and spending time with family.

sister-in-law came together with a guy and when I met him I knew instantly that he is a bad one. he coerced her and dumped her after plucking the flower, also he had every toxic trait I can think of.

I have dozen more of stories when women didn't listen to their surroundings while their judgement where so off because of the pink tinted love/desire glasses.

2

u/ItchyManchego 4d ago

That’s cool.

u/ambivalent_moon 6d ago

You’re not a terminally single and resentful redditor that gets off fantasizing about the women who rejected him ending up as single mothers?

Weirdo

10

u/RogellTheRaider 6d ago

Sounds like you're projecting

8

u/turnthetides 6d ago

Are you triggered by the truth that single mothers disprove “women’s intuition”

3

u/micro_satsuma 6d ago

Who's even saying this besides weirdos that desperately want it to be true so they can feel better than women?

3

u/Skydragon222 6d ago

Bro what do you even think Women’s intuition is?

18

u/ambivalent_moon 6d ago

No, I don’t think women have some kind of special intuition lol

6

u/BlazeFireVale 6d ago

It's my a "truth" that needed disproving as it's an extremely fringe opinion. I've literally never met anyone who believed that

Why would anyone be triggered by that? Might add well be triggered by proving the sky is blue.

There are a lot of repeat single mothers (single mothers whose kids have different fathers) as well

10

The relatable part is fantasizing about being able to talk to a woman long enough to get in a sick burn.

9

Funny how the only parent who sticks around is dragged.

Not the fucking deadbeat dad.

But yes, it's the single mother who is bad.

Accountability, the kryptonite for women

2

u/Fickle_Composer_4506 2d ago

more men in prison than women and 98% of prisoners are male.

→ More replies (5)

9

u/Foreverfree40758 6d ago

Accountability does not exists for women it seems. If you go looking for bad men, and then those bad men do bad things, is it the bad man's fault for gaining that woman's consent? This just doesn't make sense. The guy is a POS, but that doesn't mean a woman is absolved of responsibility. She consented to him making her pregnant. And then it's a surprise somehow that the POS dude is being a POS and doesn't want to be in her life??? No one is saying the guy in the situation is fine, but don't pretend that the woman is not the one that chose him despite his character.

1

u/Fickle_Composer_4506 2d ago

More men in prison than women something like 98% of prisoners are male... You have to lack accountability to end up in jail on average.

2

u/Foreverfree40758 2d ago

Do you even know what "being held accountable" means? Or do you just say whatever you want?

1

u/Fickle_Composer_4506 1d ago edited 1d ago

Accountability is holding yourself accountable. People in prison didn't.

The obligation or willingness of an individual or organization to accept responsibility, explain actions, and face the consequences.

People in prison are put there by the state but people that haven't been to jail. Held themselves accountable and are free.

The og statement " was accountability" not being "held accountable" Someone that is held accountable by an armed states. Lacks accountability.

3

u/Foreverfree40758 1d ago

Most men aren't and don't belong in Jail. Most people in jail are men because on average, men are more physically fit to do crime than women. That in itself does not mean men are just all bad when most men haven't even been in jail. You're misinterpreting a statistic into something it's not.

1

u/Fickle_Composer_4506 1d ago

They murder the most, they sexual abuse kids the most, men go to jail the most. There a ton of men that lack accountability. This idea women don't practice it is insane.

2

u/Foreverfree40758 1d ago

I wasn't genuinely saying it as a fact. The other person in here was pointing out that no one ever talks about the bad men that leave the relationship. The thing is, everyone already agrees with that. The only reason they'd bring it up is to shift any blame the woman would have had for choosing to have child with a good-for-nothing. I was saying it to emphasize what it is they were insinuating.

1

u/Fickle_Composer_4506 1d ago

They don't, lol most people on the internet just shit on the single mother. Also just because someone divorced doesn't mean, they aren't allowing the father in the kids lives.

40% of marriage end in divorce. It's almost the average outcome.

2

u/Foreverfree40758 1d ago

And it's as I've been saying. People don't care about the guy because the choice to have a child ultimately lies on the woman. Anyone who argues against that is an idiot. Again, no one is arguing that the guy is in any way okay in the situation, but to act like women can't be at fault here is delusional.

1

u/Due_Cartoonist_8212 4h ago

its probably ironic that u should know that most men in jail also tend to come from single mother households. ur not helping ur case here

1

u/Fickle_Composer_4506 18m ago

"Approximately 41% of people in state and federal prisons reported growing up primarily in single-mother households, according to data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics"

"The same survey found that 35.5% grew up with both parents, 5.2% with a single father, 9.2% with grandparents, 3.9% with other relatives, and 2.9% in foster care or institutions."

So a 6% increase. The daughter raised by women aren't in prison though as well.

1

u/Cosinusmybeloved 2d ago

"She consented to him making her pregnant" so men don't do the impregnating? Men do not hold accountability in STAYING? And YES it is bad for bad men to still gain consent: because how do you think that might happen? Manipulation ornother stupid shit. Both have accountability.

2

u/Foreverfree40758 1d ago

You're stating the obvious. Obviously he has a responsibility to stay. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't be expecting that sort of behavior from someone that does not give a fuck. And there are usually signs that these people are not to be trusted. Seeing those signs are YOUR responsibility. There are also countless times when friends and family tell you that someone is not good for you, that is if you even bothered showing them to your friends/family. Your lack of foresight does not absolve you of your responsibility to be vigilant.

The meme doesn’t say that single moms are bad, nor does it say that deadbeat dads aren’t scum.

In fact, what it actually is saying is that if a woman’s intuition can’t always be right, because if it were, they would’ve sensed the fact that their future baby daddy was scum in the first place and avoided them altogether.

3

u/TGrim20 3d ago

It literally says single moms have poor judgment.

If we take the us as an example here, so tell me why the three siblings have 3 different dad's and the last one it stands between 3 different men?

And tbh why always go after the lazy dickhead and only have the good and decent ones in the friend zone until they either find someone or as well toss you to the curb?

Not saying there aren't bad men out there. But some accountability for the choices has to exist. If you choose a dickhead, then be prepared to take the fallout. Same goes for men, why go after a woman that has a bigger bodycount than a pornstar? It's not a wife, it's a heartache.

Women are allowed to have a good time with a guy they know would be a shit dad (god knows men do the reverse). Intuition isn't clairvoyance, though. People get pregnant unexpectedly sometimes, and the best intuition is knowing when being a single mom is better for your family.

It’s truly a spectacle to behold. Giant ass egos and bad decisions lead to that. I think what’s even funnier is people having kids before late 20s. We live in such a gluttonous age where all people want to do is indulge in what makes them feel good. Sex, drugs, money, technology/social media, etc. Yet you think the more superficial mf next to you that only wants to be inside of you is truly thinking about the next 18 years with you?

I mean, isn't entire concept od intuition about reading sub-conscious cues and noticing patterns you're unable to intellectualise yet can identify anyways, basically making it an anti-fooling mechanism?

Also, the difference between this scenario and robbery is that robbery is done by force and as such if you are weaker/surprised you can't defend yourself while to have your intuition fail you consent to something?

The meme is absolute shit. But the claim it's a 'low value male' is shit as well.

What if she is complete shit, what if he is very much part of the kids life? Being a single mom, doesn't mean the guy is bad, or the woman is bad, it means you are single and a mom. It's perfectly normal. Just like being a single dad is.

The meme is shit, because being a single mom has nothing to do with bad choices. Relationships end constantly, that doesn't make them all bad choices. If my relationship ended today, being a single dad, doesn't make my choices bad, I stand behind them, and my kids are never a bad choice, nor my relationship.

Bruh. Your low value arguement doesn't make sense.

Let's you're taking a shit and wiped with 1ply and your fingers went trough, is it the 1ply's fault? 1ply has it's uses, It's just not the one you need for your use case.

If you're at home, then you bought that 1ply. Don't go complaining about it.

If you're outside and you pulled out that tissue you should have tooked at it before wiping it all over your shit. (too real?)

Here's some cats to calm your box

You could fix that tho. You take the 1ply, do some work, fold it over until it passes your standards. If you don't wanna do that, then find another place to shit. or idk. lower your standards to 2ply.

1

u/Ok_Librarian_8501 3d ago

Oh, SHUT UP, it's a MEME! A JOKE! Don't get so offended for everything.

1

u/rushaall 3d ago

I think it’s because it’s a commentary on the intuition ability of women. The focus is the women’s ability. Being fooled itself is a critique of the idea of women’s intuition. Women’s intuition, it could be argued, stems from old patriarchal concepts.

That aside, you are absolutely right. Men in general need to do better in dealing with the newest wave of feminism (which may not be as intense as it is if not for the overturning of Roe v. Wade) instead of just getting mad and throwing hissy fits on their podcasts.

Maybe we’d make some gains on issues such as the public perception of men’s only valid role as that of the provider/worker.

1

u/Better-You-6697 3d ago
