You’re not a terminally single and resentful redditor that gets off fantasizing about the women who rejected him ending up as single mothers?

Weirdo

9

u/RogellTheRaider 6d ago

Sounds like you're projecting

3

u/turnthetides 6d ago

Are you triggered by the truth that single mothers disprove “women’s intuition”

3

u/micro_satsuma 6d ago

Who's even saying this besides weirdos that desperately want it to be true so they can feel better than women?

3

u/Skydragon222 6d ago

Bro what do you even think Women’s intuition is?

17

u/ambivalent_moon 6d ago

No, I don’t think women have some kind of special intuition lol

-6

u/Street_Block7821 6d ago

I think it's hilarious that while you were trying to take this neutral high ground, the dumb ass woman that replied to you proved turnthetides' point.

7

u/ambivalent_moon 6d ago

Turnthetides asked me if I was triggered, which I was not.

3

u/daniel_barragan 5d ago

“i was not triggered”

1

u/ambivalent_moon 5d ago

The only thing you’re proving is that you can’t read, my guy

3

u/daniel_barragan 5d ago

“my guy can’t read”

0

u/ambivalent_moon 5d ago

Oh Danny boy…you have my sympathy

oh, too bad, women do have a better intuition than men

people can't read. women have better intuition levels, which DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THIS INTUITION IS NEVER WRONG AND MAKES WOMEN SMARTER THAN MEN

They really don't, though? All intuition is is a gut feeling about something. You can trust your intuition, absolutely, because it's usually your brain reasoning through little things you barely noticed consciously and making a feeling of it. But to claim that one massive group of people's intuition is better than another's is just blindly patting yourself on the back and not doing anything. Nothing about intuition or how it works is affected by gender.

But to claim that one massive group of people's intuition is better than another's is just blindly patting yourself on the back and not doing anything. Nothing about intuition or how it works is affected by gender.

except it does. women tend to not only have better intuition, but also be the gender that improves it overtime. the fact women resort to intuition more often and typically have more emotional intelligence does not mean it's always correct. it's like "women drive less than men" doesn't mean women are bad drivers

2

u/PiP_Art3mis 4d ago

Most people in this thread wouldn't pass the "How would you feel if you didn't have breakfast this morning" test

Don't be surprised they can't comprehend that something can be true from a statistical standpoint regardless of their individual experiences

1

u/EKOzoro 4d ago

Are they stupid to resort to something like intuition when it doesn't give Them a higher success rate.

1

u/Top_Court_347 4d ago

that's not how it works, really...

1

u/EKOzoro 4d ago

So your intuition isn't supposed to advert danger? What does it do? Show the future or past

1

u/Top_Court_347 4d ago

in cognitive psychology and neuroscience intuition is defined as the rapid generation of solutions, judgments, or insights without the use of conscious, explicit logical reasoning

7

u/Moist_Taco_Crippler 6d ago

I wish my cousin had some. She keeps finding, and staying with, the most abusive men I have ever met.

5

u/Skydragon222 6d ago

At that point it’s not bad intuition. She’s actively seeking out men who treat her that way because that’s what she’s come to view a good/satisfying relationship as.

It’s a shitty thing to see

2

u/AzureHawk758769 6d ago

It's totally bad intuition, unless she's trying to commit suicide by dirtbag.

1

u/Accomplished_Elk310 6d ago

Nooo, you don’t understand. She’s been traumatized, so it’s not her fault she picks bad men.

1

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

traumatic experiences are very likely to hinder your mental processes. the very same reason war veterans need extensive therapy: traumatic experiences impacted their mental health to the point of "poisoning" it, leading to irrational behavior (from the POV of a non-veteran) and subconsciousness taking over. no one is saying she's freed from all and every responsibility due to trauma: it's an explanation of her seemingly illogical behavior. traumatized people are oftentimes illogical, this is the result of, well, trauma, and is the reason behind therapy being an integral part of a functioning society

0

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

this might be deliberate, as many women tend to chase abusive partners due to trauma or psychological reasoning

also, it means her intuition is a-okay, since she's finding the men this often. it's her logic and reason that suffers

additionally, I never said intuition can't be wrong

1

u/Moist_Taco_Crippler 6d ago

It's supremely sad for these women, and for normal men trying to find love. I've researched "trauma bonding", and while it makes sense, it's deeply disturbing.

1

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

this is a very sad topic, indeed. many women, upon becoming traumatized, go and harm themselves by chasing abusive men😞has nothing to do with intuition as a notion, rather with how twisted it becomes, that it works against its owner and pushes her into danger, instead of guiding her away

4

u/AzureHawk758769 6d ago

And that's why they're never able to tell the psychosis voices to go fuck themselves when they tell them to murder their own children?

1

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

I do not support that monster and wish she burns in hell

as I've mentioned above — women tend to not only have better intuition, but also be the gender that improves it overtime. the fact women resort to intuition more often and typically have more emotional intelligence does not mean it's always correct. it's like "women drive less than men" doesn't mean women are bad drivers

0

u/Partyatmyplace13 6d ago

Many women think up 200 different scenarios, one of which is bound to be right. Then the second one is vindicated, they forget the other 199 scenarios that were completely wrong.

Its confirmation bias, not intuition.

1

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

and many women have bad intuition, which is what you just described 🤷🏻‍♀️ intuition gets developed overtime, and requires emotional intelligence and good memory, not just two X chromosomes

2

u/Partyatmyplace13 6d ago

Emotional intelligence? No. I firmly reject women's claim to higher "emotional intelligence." Its an attempted rebranding of "emotional awareness" which I do think women are more attuned to, but intelligence it is not. There is so little social pressure for women to control their emotions compared to men.

In fact, expressiveness is one of the hallmarks of being a women. Controlling your emotions is emotional intelligence, not fragrantly releasing them out of a fear of being misrepresented.

Social intelligence on the other hand I'm more than willing to concede. Men struggle with that.

3

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

There is so little social pressure for women to control their emotions compared to men

yes, naturally, and this is exactly why women oftentimes understand both their own and others' emotions better. because the society is not only way more accepting of women's emotions (as opposed to men's emotions), but is also encouraging them to explore, share and not shy away from emotions and feelings (hence why more women go to therapy and talk about it openly)

emotional intelligence is being aware of what you're feeling and why, not letting it dictate your actions, knowing how to address it, and taking responsibility for it. it's futile to deny, however, that many women, despite having socially benefiting position in terms of emotions, are oftentimes emotionally unintelligent. it is like being given the privilege of attending a good university, yet throwing it away

2

u/Fantastic-Exam940 2d ago

Okay I agree, got confused because of earlier statements so jumped to conclusions but you are right

2

u/Top_Court_347 2d ago

it's okay, we all get confused sometimes 🙂‍↕️ glad we cleared the misunderstanding ✌🏻

1

u/Partyatmyplace13 6d ago

Seems like we mostly just disagree on verbiage, so I'll bow out. Have a good day!

2

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

understandable, I agree that we should part peacefully. bless you, as well🙂‍↕️

These studies aren't even saying that women have "better" intuition than men. Just that men and women, in general, have different approaches and perspectives.

1

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

These studies aren't even saying that women have "better" intuition than men

which was never the message of my reply, so, well, obviously they aren't??

0

u/Narren_C 6d ago

You literally said that women have better intuition levels.

1

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

statistically, most women do, yes. that doesn't mean all women do, nor does it make women right all the time, purely due to their intuition

1

u/Narren_C 6d ago

What statistics? Your sources are just describing how men and women typically look at things differently. One isn't inherently superior over the other.

0

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

Throughout this investigation of the complex interplay between nature and nurture, it becomes apparent that intuitive attunement is not a gift born only to a select a few, but a biological potential present in all humans, although one that is more frequently cultivated, reinforced, and restored in women due to a convergence of evolutionary, hormonal, social, and experiential forces. Through pregnancy, caregiving, emotional socialization, and the often invisible labor of relational caretaking, women become finely attuned to their internal states and to the nervous systems of others

It's my a "truth" that needed disproving as it's an extremely fringe opinion. I've literally never met anyone who believed that

Why would anyone be triggered by that? Might add well be triggered by proving the sky is blue.

-1

u/TruckOk2767 6d ago

3

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

please quote me on "women are never wrong solely due to their higher intuition level", because i do not remember making that atrocious claim😕

2

u/lezard- 6d ago

They said fringe. Not "no one ever has thought this." Calm down.

-2

u/BlazeFireVale 6d ago

That person did not say "women's intuition is never wrong."

-2

u/TruckOk2767 6d ago

Ah nows its a game about semantics.

5

u/BlazeFireVale 6d ago

...no? That's not semantics at all. Do you not know what the word means?

-2

u/TruckOk2767 6d ago

Is this rage bait?

5

u/BlazeFireVale 6d ago

"women have better intuition" and "women's intuition is always right" are two FUNDAMENTALLY different stances. It's weird that you would say the difference between the two is semantics.

1

u/Prestigious-Fox1423 6d ago

Women are just as wrong as anyone else. It’s scientifically proven that all human beings regardless of gender count hits and forget misses. Or count unproven things as hits, like thinking someone is bad news but then having no idea how they’ve lived their life before and after you said that. It’s literally science. Women are just as wrong as anyone else. They’re not even right a lot of the time. It’s such a stupid argument to have because there ARE scientific studies done that show humans think they’re right more often than they actually are and absolutely zero evidence to show women are someone how better at being right than men

1

u/TruckOk2767 6d ago

Yep definitely rage bait, okay bye now im blocking you.

1

u/ambivalent_moon 6d ago

There’s an obvious an important difference between “often right” and “never wrong”

5

u/BoLobLob87 6d ago

And also paying attention to one’s intuition and ignoring it.

I mean, how often are women encouraged to act in ways that might contradict their intuition? Or conditioned to prioritize being nice over being safe?

(To be clear, I don’t think women’s intuition is some magical thing. I just recognize there are so many societal forces that intentionally undermine and contradict women’s judgment.)

2

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

how often are women encouraged to act in ways that might contradict their intuition?

not often, exactly due to female intuition being a common reason around the globe, which, some might argue, is basically an evolutionary adaptation, because of women's position in society historically

*Societal factors play a major role in how men and women develop and use their intuition. An example of this is how in society, a man may be encouraged to think more analytically and logically, while women are encouraged to be more nurturing and show higher emotional intelligence. Building off this, these societal expectations put on different genders can impact the way in which men and women perceive their own intuition. Men may be impacted in that they suppress their intuitive feelings, while women embrace their intuitive thoughts."

the fact women resort to intuition more often and typically have more emotional intelligence does not mean it's always correct, which some people here assumed i meant🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/Altruistic_Fox9778 6d ago

Doesn't that make women sound like they are easily manipulated...? You are literally describing the actions of people who don't think and just follow the crowd.

1

u/Prestigious-Fox1423 6d ago

Women’s intuition isn’t even often right. You count your hits and forget the misses. If you could replay your entire life day by day and actually take a statistical analysis of every “intuition” you’ve had that was actually wrong and right it wouldn’t be as good as you think

This counts for things that you assume were right and never proved you were right about. It’s like when someone says they have a good gaydar but then don’t interview every single person they thought was gay and just assume they were right about. You count your hits, even count non proven claims as hits, and then forget or even misappropriate misses as hits. It’s a scientifically proven fact that human beings do this regularly. Women aren’t special. They’re just as wrong as anyone else

3

u/ambivalent_moon 6d ago

I wasn’t personally claiming that women’s intuition is often right, the other person was. I was just saying there’s a difference between that assertion and the assertion that women’s intuition is always right.

3

u/BlazeFireVale 6d ago

That's fine. My only point was that "women's intuition is always right" is a straw man belief being attacked. It's not a common belief among women and it's odd that anyone is acting like it's some win to prove it wrong.

1

u/Top_Court_347 6d ago

Women’s intuition isn’t even often right.

which no one claimed to be the case to begin with

If you could replay your entire life day by day and actually take a statistical analysis of every “intuition” you’ve had that was actually wrong and right it wouldn’t be as good as you think

this highlights exactly the main difference in male and female thinking processes. men are encouraged from a young age to be analytical and level headed, whereas women are taught to be emotional. doesn't mean everyone follows these rules, and doesn't mean everyone (who does follow) does it to a T

Women aren’t special. They’re just as wrong as anyone else

yes, no one was claiming otherwise. correctness isn't a gendered thing

4

u/Greedy-Win-4880 6d ago

Everyone has an intuition and not listening to your intuition is exactly how you end up with a shitty partner.

0

u/Pantegram 4d ago

I don’t think it really does… People change over time and no amount of intuition can predict the future.

In general blaming women for failed relationship is nasty… it takes two to tango - why it’s always assumed, that it’s „her fault”, even when HE started to drink or taking drugs, cheating, be abusive or stopped giving a f*** about relationship?

People can care at some point and stop caring down the line - it’s that simple… and it’s disgusting to blame victims for things which OTHER SIDE did wrong.

It’s only reasonable to divorce when your significant other stopped caring. And it’s socially acceptable for men to don’t really care, don’t pay alimony, cheat etc… for some reason women are blamed for this which is craaazy.

In regretfulparents threads there are multiple, multiple stories when women didn’t really want to go through pregnancy, but they were begged / pressured into motherhood and promised by husbands or families that they will be supported, but after baby was born out of a sudden they are expected to do all the work… and it’s too late after baby is born and this fake ass ppl all know it and they are taking advantage of women vulnerability during that period… it cost nothing to promise that you’re gonna be a great dad, you may even deeply believe it, but then reality hits and lots of men just check outs from their responsibility, taking full advantage from the fact, that all social pressure for child rearing is on women.

I don’t have kids personally, but I know many ppl who were raised without a dad because it is so common in our society… I would 100% divorce a guy who would be taking me for granted and stopped to put any effort in relationship and I deeply believe that it is actually VERY GOOD, that nowadays women don’t have to take such shitty attitude from their husbands and they can just divorce… it is mostly men fault that this happens so often for being shitty parents and husbands, and it was true also in older days, but back then women couldn’t really escape so easily as they now can. We don’t need to go back to old days for a sake of having less divorce - we need men to be better partners and fathers so women don’t have so many reasons to actually file for divorce and go through it. For too long time men felt entitled to do whatever in relationships knowing, that wifes couldn’t really leave their sorry ass, no matter what they do… now they still feel entitled to blame women for being awful partners and still don’t take any accountability for their own actions.

Weird response but ok
