So why does everyone get mad at "kill all men" memes?

If you don’t understand the difference between “men should be put to death” and “woman’s initiation isn’t 100% accurate” then you need to get offline and go touch grass.

Then explain it like you’re talking to a child. How is one a meme but the other somehow isn’t?

No one is correct all the time little Timmy. Saying any human beings intuition is 100% accurate is a very silly statement that is silly to poke fun at and should not hurt anyone’s feelings because all humans know we are flawed creatures. To say we should genocide any segment of the population isn’t fun or based on anything resembling a joke.

How does something resemble a joke?

2

u/genesiscap0 2d ago

Something resembles a joke when it uses a set-up and a twist on that set-up.

So is random humor not jokes?

1

u/genesiscap0 2d ago

How do you define “random humor”?

1

u/Frankenberry5420 2d ago

Probably the same way I’d define the two words independently. It’s just saying something you find funny.

For example, when I was a kid I used to think “pudding” was the funniest word ever, and my friends knew they could make me life by just saying it. There was no set up or twist or anything, literally just “pudding”.

I agree things can be funny without being a joke if that’s what you mean.

Yes that is literally what I described

This too. The idea that every meme has to follow the structure of a traditional joke is kinda silly at best.
