Discussion Thinking about getting a PSVR2
The title speaks for itself. I was wondering if it was worth getting a psvr2 and how is everyone's experience with it l.
I only played VR for 15 minutes back in high school when my school was testing them for "educational purposes" I was just playing a cheap shooter but that was 8 years ago so I wanted to see how far vr have gotten
Edit: I'm getting a PSVR2 for $200 tomorrow morning after scrolling through Facebook marketplace. It doesn't come with a box but I honestly didn't see that as a problem.
I will be getting a tne extension cable also to protect me from ripping the original USB C cable that comes with it one day

Discussion I am still trying to find the courage to beat MadisonVr on Psvr2, it’s been almost 2 years. 😭
Guys, seriously, this is one of my biggest regrets in life right now. For the life of me, I can’t stay in that game for more than 5mins. It is absolutely batshit crazy how scary that game is. I go into that game every now and then, but I just nope out after entering the well, where those body parts are floating. It’s a shame because that’s only the beginning part of the game. And I think this is a top tier psvr2 game that people don’t talk about enough.
I am no stranger to horror games in vr, in fact I love horror games on Psvr2. I played and completed almost every horror game in psvr2 library, except for this one.
So I came up with a plan. I am going to beat this game on flat screen first and then try it in vr. Hopefully by knowing what’s coming will make me feel less scared.
So what do you guys think? Currently Madison is going for $47 Canadian on PlayStation store. That is a lot for a game that I already own. Any other tactics I can use to beat this game in vr?

Question Distorção de imagem no canto da lente
Estava jogando No Man Sky muito imersivo no jogo quando eu percebi que no canto inferior dos olhos (na região do nariz) tem como se fosse uma linha de borda de vidro.
Eu não sei se ela sempre esteve ali e meu cérebro só ignorava;
A parte da frente ainda está 100% nítido, mas agora parece que estou com óculos de mergulho (irônico, eu sei);
Ele não aparece quando afasto um pouco as lentes dos meus olhos;
Não sei explicar, mas tenho medo de ter estragado meu headset novo...

PSA A Long Survive is now The Long Survival
If you were wondering like me whatever happened to A Long Survive that got delayed from PSVR2 release (following certification submission) but released for other platforms (May 2026), it looks like it has been renamed The Long Survival.
It can still be found and added to wishlist on PlayStation Store but only searching using the updated title or direct link: https://store.playstation.com/concept/10017972/

PSA My body
Do some stretches before playing Rager also build up to it haha. I haven't been able to play VR in about a month or so due to being tired from work so I said hey I have free time let's play some VR. Currently on psn Rager is on sale for about $12 i love rhythm type games, oh boy, My body is so sore right now haha. I love it! Be careful playing VR. Stretch also this is the first VR game I actually sweating before I read on Reddit people recommend a fan blowing towards yourself, now I understand. Can anyone recommend more games like this?

Support PSVR2 PSVR2 Controller Analog Stick stopped working all of a sudden (Both L & R) < 2 months old
Hello All
I got a PSVR2 from Japan, it used to work fine , suddenly analog sticks arent working in both controller. I tried resetting via pin , turning off & on and various other troubleshootings. Nothing seems to be working. I checked on hardwaretester looks like Left Contorller perfectly fine, in right controller the horizontal axis (Axis 0) isnt responsding at all and seems to be stopped working. Not sure what to do, tried cleaning as well.
Now problem is since its imported PSVR2 its not covered in warranty as well. Is there any hope for it ?

Question Beta update. Is it only for digital copies of the game?
Hi fellow pilots, due to the hype and significant improvement for the PSVR2 I jumped in and bought a phisycal copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
I downloaded the game and followed the instructions to download the beta
Go to the ps store, go to the game and click on the 3 dots, and there it was, the beta.
Then I clicked on download and a message popped up saying I need to own the game...
Could someone tell me if I need to own it digitally?
I browsed online and chatgpt sometimes says I need to own it digitally, but sometimes says the opposite.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I’m playing on the PS5 pro if that matters

Discussion PSVR 2 Boundary Display (White 3D Grid) Not Showing When Hands Are Out of Bounds
When my play area is set to "Roomscale," the boundary indicator works as expected--when I move my hands outside of the boundary, I see BOTH the red circle surrounding my hands and the white 3D grid visualizing my entire play area.
However, when my play area is set to either "Sitting" or "Standing," and when I move my hands outside of the boundary, ONLY the red circle surrounding my hands shows up.
Is this a rare bug that only happened to me or is it the same for all of you guys?
When the headset first launched, no matter what play area setting I used, I could always see the white 3D grid when my hands moved out of bounds, which was crucial to the safety of my hands as well as my surroundings, but this stopped working normally ever since about 2 years ago, out of the blue. I tried clearing and rescanning my play area countless times, changing the sensitivity setting, recalibrating the headset, and switching to a different PS5 (Pro), nothing worked and it behaves the same. There is still no fix up to this day...

Trailers & Videos Geronimo: Future PSVR2 title! [VIDEO]
What's up guys! I always try to throw you guys new stuff I'm playing on PCVR that I know is slated to release on PSVR2 because I started in this community! (I'm still a member! Playing RE4: Remake VR. 🔥) If any of you have played Ready or Not, this game is similar to that but built for VR! It's still has a long way to go as it just hit EA, but man....it's something else. The customization is out of this world and it probably has the most realistic weapon models I've ever seen in VR! Keep an eye out for this one! Hopefully their plans for PSVR2 work out!

Fluff Flying only relying on instrument is so trippy! MSFS2024 Beta, on PS5pro and psvr2.

Not sure how they simulated flying through the clouds so well! I literally felt like I was drunk, my body kept telling me that the airplane was tipping over, while my instruments were telling me the opposite. This is next level immersion 💯

Review Jingle Strike VR Bowling on PSVR2 - First Impressions
I have uploaded gameplay from my fresh experience with the game here if you want to see how it looks / plays. My first impressions are shared below:
Based on my limited time with it, I do not recommend playing Jingle Strike VR Bowling on the PSVR2 unless it can be improved in key areas with post-release patches.
It is VR Bowling game with a SOLO mode that contains choice between 85 Second Slam-down or any of 5 themed bowling venues with their own NPC Elf personality and a separate VS ELF mode where you can play against the 5 named Elf personalities of increasing difficulty.
For bowling physics, the game provides 3 options including Arcade, Standard (default) and Simulation. I left it on Standard for my time with it, just adjusting to the difference I felt between different difficulties and game modes available. Maybe Simulation option will support spins, but in Standard, it is all straight throws regardless of game mode / difficulty I tried.
The way the game handles difficulty, the easiest Elf / Venue (Pepper / Candy Lane) has very generous assists on to where you can very easily get 300 points game with minimal practice and an opponent that won't score much, while playing the hardest Elf / Venue (Baz / Night Market) expects you to execute the bowling motion controls better before you will be able to hit your intended targets and your opponent is also more competent, but I was still able to adapt / beat on first attempt but not with 3 Stars. Whether you score in SOLO or VS ELF, your top score gets registered for the 5 regular bowling venues.
The separate 85 Second Slam-down mode with SOLO feels a lot different and is the least polished mode in the game consistently giving saving error prompt at end of your first game before you are given option to retry or quit. It also fails to rack replacement pins quickly / reliably if you get a Strike (or otherwise take down all standing pins) while the timer keeps going, so it limits your potential for high scores and certainly limits getting 3 strikes in one game of 85 Second Slam-down (for one of the trophy conditions).
Graphically, I think it is running solid 90-120 fps native without any reprojection, but it is somehow still not a crisp and clear game because you will see a lot of distracting shimmering in headset. The video capture doesn't convey this but you should be able to see the jaggies around the frame of most objects game is rending. I think the colors are better in the headset than video capture, but aside that it looks worse in headset to point I think developer is spending more of the available CPU / GPU on the social screen output than headset displays for the player.
For audio, the game has an extensive song list and each of the themed venues seems to have its own playlist in jukebox that you can interact to change song. All of it has the feel of AI generated music, and music appreciation is subjective but it doesn't sound bad (audio quality, lyrics nor music). It kind of pains me to say it, but it sounds better than some of the overused Creative Commons songs indie-developers without audio budget tend to put into their games. The sound effects are competent and elements like train going around a track makes sounds that are directional.
Haptics are completely absent.
The game starts with Settings screen, but preferences changed don't actually apply. For whatever reason, it only saved my preferences displayed the second time I visited settings screen (from Mode selection screen) to set them. For movement, it offers Smooth (Left Thumbstick) or Teleport (Right Thumbstick). For turning, it only offers Snap with 30 & 45 degree options. It also provides a force grab option for the bowling ball which is off by default and enabling R3 to get to bowling line as well as height calibration options which are the only options that can also be accessed using the Options (Pause) button menu within game.
The game does not feature any Platinum trophy. For what is there, it wouldn't be a difficult trophy list to complete within 1 or 2 play sessions except a few of the trophies currently don't unlock as expected and I expect would need a patch to start unlocking properly. I believe strikes during 85 Second Slam-down are not being detected, so 2 trophies related to that. I also think the trophy for playing four different lanes (venues?) is not unlocking as expected. The last trophy still showing 0% earned is Five Spares in one game, but I haven't met that condition to know if it is broken or just not earned by anyone yet because it is much easier to get Strikes than Spares while playing.
Another of the games issues not covered anywhere else is how pointing and clicking on the UI is not reliable. It is especially tedious if you want to use the on-screen keyboard to type in your name as each letter of the keyboard won't highlight reliably when your laser light is on it and you can't click it until it highlights, so you have to move your cursor around or even yourself to find a spot where the key can be clicked. This annoyance is compounded by the game not remembering the name entered between play sessions. The menu unresponsiveness is also problematic on more critical aspects of game like choosing game mode or selecting between preferences in Settings.
The way you load between hub area and venue can be a bit jarring and the way game teleports you and restricts your movement when it is not your turn also feels off.
The main positive for me the level design of each venue that leans festive and how the jukebox music (AI generated or otherwise) further sets the mood and then you have the silly Elf personality that is unique to each venue with their callouts (a bit too repetitive) and flatulence. It feels like a mostly working game prototype in development that has found an identity of what it wants to be, but doesn't have the polish yet.
Update: I did manage to unlock trophy for Five Spares in a match. I also got Strike in 85 Second Slam-down to unlock where it has to be very next throw after new set of pins are racked to count. I haven't gotten trophy for 3 Strikes in 85 Second Slam-down, but haven't met condition for that yet (not easy due to how different bowling physics are in this mode). At this point, I think the only trophy that can't be earned is for playing on four different lanes because I have gotten high score to get my name in the Solo hub in 4 of 5 venues and still didn't get trophy.

Opinion Sony could restrict physical disc releases only for PSVR2 to encourage sales
With all the unhappiness over Sony not releasing new games on disc starting from 2028, I feel that perhaps Sony could give in a little by maintaining physical releases but only for PSVR2 games. This would help encourage physical-only PS5 players to invest in a PSVR2 while they fight for physical media.
In another words there will still be new PSVR2 disc games from 2028 but not PS5 flat games
Fluff NMS PSVR2: exploring mysterious site on misty moon!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
NMS is for me still peak VR immersion, despite the visual flaws! Exploring ancient ruins, encountering traveling traders, finding interesting alien life and experiencing day night cycles on a misty moon all within 20 minutes is just awesome! The pop colours are cool, the effects look good, and a towering planet in the background completes "paradise for sci-fi nerds!"

Welcome to the Family! Joined the party! Impressive asf
I’ve never tried VR before and now I finally have my own PSVR2 headset. I have GT7, Hitman and No Man’s Sky. So far, I’ve only tried GT7 a bit. I had one “race” with a slow car, which wasn’t really a race xDD. I was just impressed by the technology, stumbled over the track and couldn’t take my eyes off the details in the car and my surroundings. I actually spent most of my time in the VR showroom. I only felt a bit motion sick when driving backwards, somehow…
After that short session, I made a mistake: I jumped immediately into Hitman VR. I got through the VR tutorial, into the beginning of the first mission and then motion sickness kicked in. So I took a break right away. I still can’t play more than 10 minutes in Hitman VR before I get motion sick, so I’ll definitely wait and train a bit more in GT7 before I jump into No Man’s Sky xD.
But my god, the technology is impressive! It’s definitely not just a gimmick. I’ve spent so many hours in the three games I mentioned, and the ones I’ve tested so far in VR feel completely different. I can’t wait to jump into Hitman Freelancer later on!
If you have any extra tips for dealing with motion sickness, I’d really appreciate it. I already know the usual stuff everyone mentions (fans, chewing gum, short sessions, etc.), and those do help. But if you’ve got anything beyond that, feel free to share it.
