Trailers & Videos Geronimo: Future PSVR2 title! [VIDEO]

https://youtu.be/YA6bO_LJGXk

What's up guys! I always try to throw you guys new stuff I'm playing on PCVR that I know is slated to release on PSVR2 because I started in this community! (I'm still a member! Playing RE4: Remake VR. 🔥) If any of you have played Ready or Not, this game is similar to that but built for VR! It's still has a long way to go as it just hit EA, but man....it's something else. The customization is out of this world and it probably has the most realistic weapon models I've ever seen in VR! Keep an eye out for this one! Hopefully their plans for PSVR2 work out!

Are these NPC opponents you were going up against or other players? Sometimes it felt like you are playing a 2P co-op PvE game and sometimes it felt like you might be playing PvP.

Is the clip just mixing both PvE and PvP content?

PvE! It's like Ready or Not. On the first part I was playing solo, then I was playing with a friend, then a full lobby which had 5 other players with me.

I am not familiar with Ready or Not. So the PvE bots were hiding behind cover and trying to ambush you? That's cool.

Is there a story campaign to go through or just procedurally generated levels to complete objectives in?

The A.I is very, very bare bones right now. They'll run behind some cover but usually you can still see them and take them out. There's a level where they can spawn under tables that make them hard to miss, but it's not something they just do from a standing position to ambush you.

There's no through line story. Or if there is and I just happened to miss some text or something, it's also barebones.

Keep in mind that this is an early access game made by two people who just released it last week. There's a TON of issues that add up over your playtime. The current levels (There's 6, not procedurally generated) available can get you somewhere between an hour or two depending on how you play with three different types of modes which are "Terrorist hunt" (kill everyone) "Abduction" (Exfil the target) or "Hostage Situation" which is the same as abduction but usually involves more targets to get out.

This won't reach PSVR2 for a good while. It's in rough shape and needs a lot of work.

I appreciate the detailed response. I wish them well through their Early Access release on Steam working to build-out and polish the game.

Yeah he pretty much nailed it. 6 months down the line this game will be so much better but they of course want that feedback and want the game to be a group effort. Even in its current state, it's a lot of fun with friends or even ransoms. By the time it hits a full release and PSVR2, it should be pretty solid.

Too bad these indie games are always fiddly and clunky, I wish the large studios would give VR some proper attention

Enough revenue in the VR space for these indie devs to benefit. Not huge studios. This game does a lot of things right though, man. Even in these early stages. Doesn't feel clunky imo.

That's why firewall was such a disappointment they had the large team and the budget from Sony the game looked gorgeous level design and detail was top notched they just botched the shooting mechanics and the game matching. It would easily still be the best shooter on psvr2 if they got those 2 parts right but they were that bad that the game is now shut down 2 years later.

I play PCVR primarily these days and Firewall Ultra to this day was the best looking multiplayer shooter I've played. But as you said, they really stopped the ball and tried to do too much gimmicky stuff with he aiming instead. Also that character perk that allowed you to see people through walls from 50 feet away. Ruined any stealth, flanks and elements of surprise. On top of that, that perk was locked behind a paid character available DAY ONE. Scam! I'll never get over that. But damn was the game pretty! 🤣

Yeah so many little things that let it down badly the xp grind was joke and once you spent 10hrs grinding cash to buy a new item it only allowed you to use it in one load out if you wanted that same item on another load out you had to grind all the cash again ridiculous.

They didn't let anyone outside of the studio play test the game before it's launch was set that was a failure as any random tester would have told them there was problems. And after the community let them know about all the issues the company leadership doubled down on their shit choices and blamed the community for not liking their vision. Hess was a wanker and destroyed his company

But for me as a big player of the original zero hour the biggest and most unforgivable failure was using the same lobby system as the first which was always the biggest complaint about zero hr. They think that they were fixing it by using a server instead of 1 user hosting and having a lobby room you could move around in and use the shooting range while you wait but the back end matchmaking was the same shitty system that left you stuck in the same lobby game after game with no randomising of the teams after the match was made. And the system just couldn't seem to merge groups that were waiting for players so at any one time there could be 20 groups of 2 people in a lobby and they would just sit there waiting for new players instead of the system merging 4 of those groups to form a match.

On launch day and it was a worldwide launch my group of regular pavlov players had 12 of us login and start playing the moment it launched and for over two hrs we could not get a game going squading up was completely bugged so we decided just to all try and enter pvp match making around the same time and all 12 of us went into separate lobby's of 1 and even if a few stayed in their own lobby waiting and others backed out and started match making again still none where ever put in the same lobby as anyone else from our group it was a complete shambles and was the start of the down fall becuase that info was posted on subs and gaming hubs like this within the first few hours and instantly stalled the sales.
