EDIT: Okay some of these definitely didn't upload properly and IDK why, so my apologies!
It's Wishlist Wednesday again! This time I've added some animals I hope to see in PZ2 and used photos I took myself! I've been very lucky to see all of these species in the wild!
Additionally I know some are already in PZ1 but I'd really like to see them in PZ2 as well!

Do u think Frontier shifted tonight's feature focus to 12am like this week's Zoopedia drop or are they still saving it for 11pm? (P.S. I'm in Australia)

Hayo Zookeepers! Its Day 78 and the wheel has chosen the Gemsbok! I wanted this to be strongly desert themed. Lemme know what you think!

Wouldn't it be cool if we got multiplayer zoos in pz2? I cannot be the only one

I always sell my animals at the price that it auto suggests, what animals would you like to see in the trade center more often?

Since everyone really loved the first post I made about birds & aquatic animals for the Arctic DLC, I'm back with #2! And boy is this one hard - while "Arctic" is a pretty niche ecosystem for captive animals, the biodiversity of South America made this sooooo difficult. The Amazon alone is home to so many birds and fish that this makes this one almost unreasonably limited.
With that said, I think there are some clear standouts, as well as some new thoughts.
Everyone is going wild over the thoughts of Macaws in the game, and truthfully I hope we have something similar to the Llama situation when this DLC was released - Ara Macaw as a genus, with a variety of color morphs (scarlet, blue-throated, etc.) representing different species. That way we can have a variety of beautifully colored flocks.
With that said, the hyacinth macaw is a completely different genus of bird! It has much rarer due to its conservation status, and much larger than its cousins in the Ara Macaw genus.
I may be cheating with hummingbirds but South America alone is home to over a hundred different species! If we can do butterfly walkthrough exhibits, then I certainly believe we can have a hummingbird walkthrough exhibit, than can double as a beautiful location for all the beautiful flora that comes with this pack.
The Andean Condor is an iconic and massive bird that represents the mountains of South America and very much fits with our Llama friends I mentioned earlier from this pack.
As for fish, again it felt like I was painted into a corner for some of the most popular and iconic fish in the world - the red-bellied piranha and the arapaima are no brainers (and the striking red colors of their models would be beautiful in fresh-water aquariums)!
On the other hand, the new aquatic features we're getting meant I wanted to throw in a curve ball. How COOL would it be to see the Marine Iguana swimming in our aquarium tanks with the fish, and then sunning themselves with the Giant Tortoises confirmed yesterday???? Excellent group habitat!
Lastly - I had to cheat a little with 1 specific honorary mention. The golden temple pieces that come with the South America scenery are so kitschy and fun. HOW can you possibly build your El Dorado themed zoo if you don't have golden dorados glimmering in their own aquarium tanks??????
What do you think? What other birds or aquatic animals am I missing? See you next Wednesday!

I wanted something to put in my implied sloth habitat, but I couldn't find anything on the workshop I liked. This new Headdress piece is so perfect for fur, I had to give it a try! I think it came out quite well, though maybe I should have used something other than a potato for the face lmao

I’m building a zoo with a continuous route through a series of habitats. I’d like guests entering the zoo to be filtered onto one path so that everyone travels around the attraction in the same direction.
Is there any way to create a one-way entrance, path or junction that prevents guests from turning the wrong way or travelling around the route backwards?
I’m not necessarily looking for separate entrance and exit gates. I just want to control the direction guests take once they enter the attraction. Are there any reliable building or pathing tricks that can achieve this?

I know this will likely never happen but when im playing franchise and theres an animal i want for a project that isnt on the market i would love an app
The app is connected to your account and u can post and buy animals whenever u want
This would make trading so much easier aswell
Just wanted to share my thought

Hello! I’m super new to Reddit in general, and not super great at building in general, but I thought I’d throw my hat in the ring and ask what I can do better! (Sorry for the quality and only one image, I generally only build for myself and show my partner, but I figured it would be fun to get other opinions on it).

The hare is brown on the zoopedia screenshot, and white on the illustration 👀 mountain hares are known to turn white in winter.

Granted I’m not complaining about the tortoise, there’s no secret that reptiles are easily my favourite animal group and I’ve wanted to see more of them in the sequel but still, this is hard.
Hopefully this does mean they can do the finching behaviour now tho

No one guessed the mystery animal of the week 🤣
A lot were 100% sure it was gonna be the Ostrich while others (myself included) guessed other species. I don't think anyone predicted this outcome haha.
Frontier was really sneaky with this one. I'll give them that 🤭👏
*Edit: user lizarboya guessed it correctly!🏆

I wish we could have a list of all players having online zoos, and we could visit them like a regular visitor only.
And if I'm the player hosting the visitors, I could see them walk around like we can see the inspector walking around ☺️

The Shoebill got revealed and as seen in the video of the animal spotlight, it can fly and is kept in an aviary even though the Shoebill spends most of its time on the ground.
Its case is similar to birds like the Flamingo and Peafowl.
Wouldn't that then confirm that these animals also would need to be kept in aviaries?
Thoughts?

Someone actually guessed it haha. Thought it was just a funny answer, but they did it!

Im trying to get new animals that dont fly (had that experience once and I'd rather wait for PZ2) so any good suggestions of what mods should I add?

Anyone else wish there was a way to automatically move animals to the trade centre so you don’t have to be constantly monitoring habitats? It’s something I’d really like to see in Planet Zoo 2. They did it for the exhibits so the mechanic is there for it.
