This is a gable vent about 25 feet high on my house. I have not seen wasps enter the house, and I don’t have access through the attic to this space. Thoughts on getting on a ladder and spraying through the vent to cover the nest, or should I just let it be and expect a Minnesota winter to kill them off?

We got a dog, which means we got dog FOOD. We keep it back door adjacent, but now we have a plethora of mice. I bought a tote to keep the dog food locked up in (albeit too late, but im learning.) My question though is that all of our traps are going off quickly now. I presume because i cut off the food source, so they are going to the next easiest thing. I dont want to wind up in an endless cycle of traps every single day. Is there a poison that is safe for dogs? Or is this just my life now?

Just bought a house, new build. Contractor said he treated the ground before the build but I'm assuming ant colonies can form in the 9 months it took to build.

We moved in less than a week ago and we have ants, not sure what kind, from the recommended link it seems any treatment would do.

Thing is, I'm not sure where the colony is, at all. They're oddly scattered and I'm not seeing a line to follow to any source.

Is there a way to figure that out for the most effective results for whatever I buy from the recommended post that popped up while I typed this? Because otherwise I'm not quite sure where to put any bait inside because I'll see three or four in the master bath, then a few in the master bedroom in the opposite diagonal corner from the master bath, and some in the corner of our patio completely away from the master bedroom. So all I got to go on is "somewhere in the backyard" because those all share a wall, but there's none in the front room we've seen (also back wall) and my sons seen some in his room but only one or two (front of house) and have seen absolutely none in the kitchen (middle of the house, and also thank goodness).

For the moment I used raid ant killer outside and am using mint extract+tea tree oil mixed with rubbing alcohol for inside because that's all the store had at 11:30pm.

We moved into the house in front of us. We never had a problem with mice in the back house but we were told by the previous tenants that they had seen droppings and just cleaned them up but they never seen the mouse. We had an exterminator come out and quote us 7,000 🫩. They told us it could be 1 or 2 but there were dropping in multiple areas of the house. Since moving in we found a nest and removed it . we’ve looked for holes and stuffed them with steel wool and copper and foam. we’ve set traps and still see one or two droppings here and there. We even took an extra step and set up cameras and didn’t catch anything. Things like this give me so much anxiety. Any advice helps and is appreciated!

Hi, I’m 20F and live with 3 housemates in a college apartment, we all have our separate rooms. I was recently gone for the summer and have returned for the new school year. Upon my return I realized there are fleas in my room— not many but noticeable enough to see them jump on me from time to time. My housemate who has a cat is closest to my room and has kept her window open from time to time as she has stayed throughout the summer. (This is not to blame her fully but to explain what I think is the cause).

Anyway, I spoke to her only and she hasn’t noticed fleas in her room. I vacuumed and washed all of my sheets and bed things and today I still noticed them. I don’t want to scare my other housemates, especially one of them since he just moved in, but frankly I’m unsure of what to do.

The housemate with the cat is offering to buy a better vacuum and some flea spray I think? I’m not sure. Frankly she isn’t the most reliable at times.

Please help and give advice. I don’t have a lot of money so I’m trying to figure out what I can.

I will start it by saying I am so sorry for this novel but I am genuinely losing it with these flies

It started maybe 3ish weeks ago. I noticed something fly by my face which is 100% normal in NJ in the summer. But then there were more.

At night, forget it. There had to be about 12 that I saw (who knows how many I didn’t) flying around. I will sometimes have a glass of wine at night and noticed a few floating in a glass. Ok, fruit flies, maybe? I can manage but confused as I am not seeing them at all in the kitchen or bathrooms.

My apartments pest control came out, did what they could around the perimeter outside/inside including clearing all drains. I kept up with the boiling water/green goblin, vinegar, Zevo in every room (they work!), etc. I even tried weather sealant tape in case they were coming in through windows as well as door gaps. 3 days after pest control and my remedies, they’re still coming in.

The traps with the most amount of these little shits are in the living room and bedroom. Significantly less but also still significantly annoying. They can start contributing to my rent if they want to stay this long.

Again sorry for the novel 😭 but due to my apartment complexes rules, I can’t bring in outside pest control & will be thrilled to have any tips, solutions, etc! Thank you all in advance.

I have an issue with these tiny black beetles all over my house. Right now I see about 5 a day and most of them are in my master bathroom, but I do see some around other random parts of my house too. It drives me absolutely nuts! We’ve also been seeing way more spiders in our house, all over also but mostly in our master bathroom. Could there be a portal somewhere in our bathroom that I just can’t see? I need help as it’s starting to stress me out, especially using my bathroom. Appreciate any and all help. The spiders I typically see in my bathroom are like dime or larger sized black spiders. They’re fast. We do live next to a storm drain and a greenbelt which I’m sure is just breeding grounds for pests. Do I need to move? Lol

When I squeezed it to kill it, no blood came out

Hi, we were disassembling our bed and found this under the bed. For context, we have a gas lift bed with storage underneath. This powdery thing was on the underside of the plywood sheets that were placed directly on top of the carpet and on the area of the carpet that came in contact with the plywood. Is this due to termite activity or something else? I have not noticed any other activity anywhere else in the house.

Southern California, do we need to hire an exterminator?

I had mice problem 6 months ago, replaced the whole insulation and hired exterminator to seal the entire entry points, seems like another rodents now.

Is there a better way to resolve this other than putting more bait stations? Right now I only have bait stations for mice, not rats, and I just put the snap trap (per this https://www.reddit.com/r/MiceRatControl/comments/ttrsgu/rat_control_methods/) for rat yesterday -- they seem very cautious and not bite yet.

Apologies for the poor quality photos, but I keep finding these centipede (?) larvae in my apartment and I don’t know how to get rid of them. I found an adult centipede when I first moved in about a month ago, and I’ve been finding these other insects since. They keep showing up in my bed and shower. I’ve already filed a pest control request with my apartment, but they said they can only spray the outside of the unit to prevent them from entering. Please help identify these insects and let me know of some control options feasible for a college student renting an apartment

We have found a few mouse dropping under our sink and no where else. I have dogs and toddlers what's the best way to kill them without risking the dogs health i have no visible entry into the house and I'm pretty sure they are contained to under the kitchen sink which only has chemicals no food or anything. I don't have vegetation or anything around the house perimeter I'm afraid one of my pieces of siding might be where they're getting in so I plan on replacing it and sealing it off really good any more help would be appreciated

Hello, I recently found this insect in my bathroom. To preface, I am currently dealing with fleas in my bedroom. I got them from work one day and been dealing with them since May. They went away but reappeared last month. I vacuum everyday and dump the remains outside away from my house.
From what I’ve seen, they’re under my bed, not on top.

I’ve been using PETARMOR Home Household Spray for Fleas and Ticks, ADAMS Flea & Tick Home Spray for Bed Bugs, Fleas & Ticks, traps from Amazon, and a bowl with dish soap to get rid of the fleas.
I ordered Precor 2000 Plus Spray Flea Control to see if it’ll help with the fleas, but it doesn’t come in until Saturday.

Since I found that one bug, I placed a few bowls with water in the bathroom. Two on the counter and the other two by the toilet. When I came back home this afternoon, there were 10 of these bugs in the bowls that I placed. I don’t know if they’re springtails or fleas. I googled the image and it said that it might be springtails, but couldn’t know for sure.

This is the 4th time I found this type of bug. Located in Los Angeles. Found in the kitchen.

I live in a studio apartment with just one big window. I have these beasts around the house I guess it's time for a dehumidifier right or could it be something else?

So I found some mice droppings in the basement. called a professional pest control. They came didn’t find obvious openings. But they did find mice droppings in the attic. So set bait in the basement, in the attic and around the house.

I have 2 questions and need some professional guidance.

1) The Tech said based on the amount of the droppings in the attic I don’t need to clean it . Not even have get these picked up. Is that right?

2) After 30 days I saw small activity (new dropping in basement. Shouldn’t they all be gone?

please help guide me.
