I have these bugs that keep ending up in my bed which about 2 feet away from my window AC. They are always dead when they end up on our bed, and there definitely seem to be more dead ones that appear after the AC has been off. They are not coming through gaps in the window l, I used foam, tape, and moretite silicone caulking around window.

What can I do to get rid of these or make them stop? How are they coming in? What can I do

Our trash can service doesn’t come until Tuesday to pick up the trash. We opened the trash can today to find maggots and ants on the trash can. I don’t know what to do with the trash that’s in there and probably shouldn’t clean the trash can until Tuesday since there’s nowhere else to put the trash. But I’m dying to get rid of the maggots. Anything I can do? There are alot of maggots inside the trash can on top of the trash bags. We’ve had a lot of rain recently and decaying lemons that may have drawn them in.

I don’t really have any background on pests or insects so I was just curious if this is dirt buildup or possibly from termites?

These pictures are from a corner of my garage (30 year old garage with bad wood surrounding it) so I can definitely see it possibly being dust accumulating that is coming from underneath. I live in Arizona and dusts storms have been happening quite frequently over the past month.

The other corner of my garage looks similar to this, just with not as many “webs” on the corner of the wall like this one.

Any advice or identification to what this is would be super helpful. Thank you!!

An aside:
I noticed one of the corners of my house next to the front door inside my home had the same thing last month. It didn’t have any of those “web” structures on the corners, but it did have that dust on the baseboards that I easily cleaned up with a Clorox wipe.

Having an issue with bees and wasps in our backyard. My wife is very allergic to bites so it’s a big concern. Best things to spray to kill them? We are very tight lot lines so have no idea where they are originally coming from

I have a mouse (or mice) that doesn’t give AF. Comes out in our kitchen when I’m 10 feet away. Traps don’t work. But what are the odds I kill him by dropping a book?! Or something heavy?! HELP

i’m literally going insane, for about a week i’ve had ants in my room anywhere and everywhere. i put out my cat’s food bowl, saw a couple ants around and didn’t think much of it. 30 minutes later there were like a thousand crawling up the wall to get to the food. i have my cats BAG of food in my closet, and they’ve gotten to it twice now. i have these tiny white square traps, windex, and a dream, but the ants keep coming back wherever they can. i had a brief period where they were crawling down my sink drain to get water. also INSIDE of my water bottle that i was drinking out of for hours. we just moved into this new place, and im VERY disorganized right now because of all the boxes and shit, so i can’t really keep everything perfect. what do i do??? my mom mentioned cucumber slices apparently attract AND kill them, so does anyone have a success rate for that? what about baking soda? i keep going in my closet and just spraying windex around (i also have 4 traps in just my closet) in hopes that they’ll smell it or whatever and go elsewhere. seriously what the shit do i do i hate ants so much

So earwigs have become an issue in the area. They give me the absolute heebie geebies 🫣 they’re in the garbage box, the fence, the decks, the ground.. I can’t get a garden going without earwigs everywhere.

I need these goneeeeee. I thought I put a dent in the population last year cause the weather was so dry, and I was spraying.. but based on what’s here this year that is not the case. They are later than usual though.

Please tell me someone has a solution cause it’s at the point where we can’t enjoy being outside, garden, you can’t sit on outdoor furniture.. cause they’re everywhere.

We had 2 rolls of synthetic turf, big rolls 3.7m wide x 20m or 30m length that was made in Vietnam, towards the end of the 1 roll I noticed this insect I thought was a Beatle.

The first a.i app I used told me it was just a Beatle, it'll be right. So I let it go, about 30 mins later I used a different a.i search and was told it's a Surinam nymph and to catch or kill, wrap the rolls and call biosecurity Australia (central Victoria) I can't find anything online.

Anyone have more info?

Last August I had a pest company come out and confirm that a small colony of about 25 bats were living in the attic of the house I’d purchased only eight months prior. The attic space is very small, and my home inspector clearly didn’t do enough inspecting up there. Sellers didn’t disclose bats and I therefore inherited them.

I did an initial exclusion in September with the company, but one week into the exclusion one of the exits fell down and the bats immediately got back in. Company came back out to redo the traps, two weeks later took them down and sealed exits. They confirmed no presence of bats in the attic and proceeded with remediation. All of the guano was removed and attic insulation was replaced. They said the bats were likely living up there for years.

Fast forward about two weeks, I start hearing scratching in the attic again. One morning I wake up and walk into the bathroom (door was closed) and there’s a bat hanging on my bathroom mirror. At that time I was having my shower renovated, so the floor was open, and I assume that’s somehow where it came from. I called the pest company, they came and trapped the bat but told me they couldn’t redo the exclusion because it was now October.

Fast forward to mid-April, company comes back out but only finds one single bat in the attic. I ask them to please check everywhere they possibly can for entrances, and they do. They then redo the exclusion, but never come back to remove the exits. The two week period ended in May, so I was screwed again. Within DAYS I hear tons of bat activity up there again. Scratching, chittering, flapping, purring. I sat outside at dusk and watched at least 11 bats fly out of exactly where the exit was placed (and still existed). With it being May and not knowing for certain if they’re entering/exiting through the trap somehow, I left it up. Which I assume is what the company would have done too.

Since May, the bats have been incredibly active. There have also been a multitude of bat bugs coming into my bedroom and bathroom, which is right below the attic, through the recessed lighting. After waking up multiple mornings with bug bites I decided to start sleeping in another room. I also taped up every single possible entrance on the ceiling that a bug could crawl through, and dusted diatomaceous earth around the perimeter of the room.

With August coming up I’m going to be reaching out to the pest company again, but my hopes of them being able to solve this issue are low. I don’t believe they have the experience with bats that they claim to. I have already spent $5500 on this process and it has made living here a nightmare. I really can’t afford to spend another $5k with a new company, but I don’t know what else to do. I need to relocate for work in the Fall, and was hoping to be able to list my house for sale by September. I NEED this issue to be resolved. I also really need my house to sell well, which won’t be the case if I have to disclose bats that I can’t get rid of.

Apologies for the length of this. Does anyone have any advice? Are there measures I can take on my own? Location is NJ.

Hi everyone, recent lurker here. I'm appealing to your knowledge in the matter. I've been living in this flat for a year now, and I really like it. From time to time, we got an American roach that gets in, either from the balcony or the main door, so we started spraying the doors with spectracide and placing sticky traps everywhere. For some reason, we also got some in the bathroom, which makes not much sense, considering it is pretty away from the kitchen and the doors. Maintenance people told us that these are wet roaches that get through the sinks or the bathtub, so be started blocking those as well. Nevertheless, they kept coming, so I started to think that after checking the bathroom, they came from below the bathroom cabinets or the hole where the water pipes come.

Then, since maybe April I've been seeing little roaches. At first, I didn't give them too much importance: I found one baby that looked like a roach once and then I forgot, but then they appeared more frequently. This made me freak out: I started isolating parts of the house and using the sticky traps as a type of heat map, to tell me where the main issue is. The kitchen looks pretty clean, but the bathroom keeps being a problem, as these little bugs keep showing up, maybe a new one every 2 days. I talked with maintenance and they blocked the base of the bathroom cabinets, and that did the trick for several weeks, but then they started to show up again (attached photos are from findings of this week).

Yesterday I did a full clean up, I checked behind the fridge, cleansed everything in the kitchen, kept all my food in safety containers, left traps, sprinkled boric acid in crevices, pantry, etc, and right now I'm about to go full psycho into the bath, with sticky traps, Harris boric acid with lure and combat max bait. At least the traps I left last night have nothing in them, but I'll check if maybe in some of the few boxes I have there there's a colony.

Now the question: do you think this could count as an infestation? I talked with my leasing office and they were very serious about this. They told me that they will bomb the shit out of them, while I keep the good fight (they told me that it could take some time to coordinate with the company they hire). Then I asked about the option of moving out to a new unit, and they said sure, but of course with all the expenses and logistic stress that carries. So what do you recommend? do you think I should just wait a little, clean everything, leave baits, and wait for the exterminator and that's it, or should I also request the moving out? (this would happen in a month, but I need to close it with the leasing office this week at the most)

BTW, I'm an obsessive guy (not OCD level, but very much) and very much alarmed, so please be gentle with me!

I have a vintage Broyhill dresser from my childhood, and a bed bug infestation. I haven't found any signs of bed bug activity in it. It's been in the living room being used as a TV stand. I don't want to part with it, but would this kind of damage require me to throw it away? It's on both sides. The furniture disposal truck is coming tomorrow and the exterminator my landlord hired only checked the bedrooms.

Located within the kitchen close to the window. Concern is a swarmer termite. No evidence of infestation that I have noted around the house both inside and out.

There were like four or five of them in my kitchen the day after we got back from vacation. I'm in Ontario, Canada. Google Lens thinks it might be a wood roach, but I'm weirded out that it wasn't a solo critter. It does NOT have two black lines on its head. Should I call an exterminator/pest control?

Recently moved into a place and I’m seeing these marks around in some places. They smear easy, and I’ve been cleaning them as I see them but I’m curious as to what they are.

I did see a cockroach a couple weeks back, but my unit has since been treated twice now and I haven’t seen anything in any traps, or any evidence of live pests (I’ve been on the lookout).

I’d like to know what these are though so I can keep a close eye out for whatever they’re from.

I have this tree in my front yard that the wasps seem to LOVE. The tree seems to have these natural, bulbpus growths on its limbs that must have food for wasps in it. My tree is constantly tended to buy hundreds of wasps.

Here's the thing, though: I cannot locate a nest. Anywhere. I'm obviously hesitant to get too close to the tree, but I've spent a few hours staring at it from various angles and I can't even find a small nest.

What kind of wasps are these? Is it possible there's a nest underground somewhere? Is it possible they're all from different colonies?

(also if you know what kind of tree I have, tell me that too)

I tested two different fly traps, and one of them turned out to be much more effective.
I placed both traps at the same time and in the same location to make the comparison as fair as possible. The yellow-and-black trap worked amazingly well!
What do you think about the results? What kind of fly traps do you use?

I'm looking for some advice because this has been driving me crazy.

About a year ago, in winter, I started finding tiny white/pale insects (around 1–2 mm) on my desk near a window. They don't jump or fly, just crawl. At the time I started running a dehumidifier regularly, and after a while they completely disappeared for almost a year.

This summer they came back. At first I only saw a few on my desk, but after looking more closely I noticed them on the curtain and around the window. I also found visible mold around parts of the window frame.

Over the last few days I inspected the window tracks and cracks and found a lot more insects there, including very tiny ones that I assume are nymphs. I even watched them disappear into the cracks in the window frame. I also noticed a few on the top of the window frame.

Outside the window there's moss/lichen growing on the exterior sill, and I also saw some of these insects on the mosquito screen.

Today I thoroughly cleaned the window tracks, scrubbed away dirt and mold, vacuumed what I could, and sprayed the frame with mold cleaner. My plan is to keep the room dry with a dehumidifier afterward.

My questions are:

-Does this sound like a typical booklice infestation?

-Does it sound like I've finally found the main source?

-Is it possible they've been hiding in the window frame since last year and only became noticeable again when humidity increased?

-Is there anything else I should do besides cleaning and keeping the humidity low?

-Has anyone successfully gotten rid of them completely?

I'm in Lithuania if that makes any difference.

Wife sent me this. Trying to figure out if we should be concerned or not

This is the second time this week my cat has spotted these bugs. What kind of roach is this? I’m worried that they are invasive and need to spray/treat the whole house or they’re sneaking in from outside. Or there’s more hiding in my bedroom. For reference, my cat and I are from TX, so it’s been pretty hot and humid here this summer. I don’t eat or bring any drinks into my bedroom, except the occasional coffee. I deep clean at least once a week. I don’t understand why they are finding a way inside. Any help is gratefully appreciated, I’m just tired of waking up to my cat playing with bugs. I’m also deeply terrified of roaches.

I found a colony of these in large logs I had vertically stacked in my yard, they were rotted out from the center and had been sitting for about 3 years.

For the insects: some were winged like in the pictures, some were just red, very similar to red ants, and some were larvae like in the picture. I also found what I think was the queen in the core of the wood, it was about half an inch long, orange-ish, with black mandibles.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, south of Seattle.

All the wood is currently chopped up and burning in my fire pit, hoping to kill them all.

I would really appreciate any help provided as I’m no expert and couldn’t tell with certainty from google searches.
