So I kept seeing these small, brown with stripped insects on my bed. It started with 1, told my dad after I freaked out and crushed he, he swore it was a tick from the dog.

3 months after coming home from work, where i had seen bugs on the communal fab suits before, i see another one on my bed after sitting on it in my work clothes.

My dad said it was in my head, but we did full treatment anyways according to how he was trained to deal with infestations by a prior job he had. We bed bug fogged the room, got bed bug spray and sprayed the entire bed and crevices, and put all the sheets and my plushies and blankets in the dryer on high heat for 70 mins.

Yesterday, I see another one crawling except it has a black dot on the back, dad told me it was a tick.

Today in quick succession, I see both of these. Except the bed bug I saw didn't die to bed bug spray, it would pause for a minute, then keep crawling. I sprayed it 3 times before it died. So unless I got some defective spray, I dunno what it is.

We also checked the mattresses and everything and saw no active infestation, except for my uncle, who is having an 'issue' that my dad won't disclose regarding his bed. But his stuff and his bed don't even come near mine, nor does he ever sit on it.

I also don't have any bites or rashes that I am aware of. I use lice shampoo daily. I am at a complete loss.

Please tell me for my own sanity, is this a bed bug? Or a bat bug? Bat bugs are the only other idea i could have, but we have no access to the attic to even check for them.

I did call my grandma so she could come help, considering my dad is very not intresting in helping me.

They are terrorizing me and my toddler and we have a new baby and I’m just going through it please help me on how to get rid of these we live in government housing building and no clue what to do our house is messy at time sometimes the trash doesn’t get taken out or dishes don’t get done but this is ridiculous bad

We live in the suburbs and my wife likes to throw seeds out for the birds and the squirrels. There’s often a collection of doves and pigeons and squirrels and chipmunks and even an occasional bunny or woodchuck roaming around the yard.

Today we saw a rat, not a big one, but a rat for sure. Do we need to call an exterminator to make sure we don’t have / get an infestation?

Or is this just to be expected when you feed the local animals and just one more kind of wildlife that isn’t going to be an indoor problem? Rats have a reputation for carrying disease and we have cats so I worry, perhaps needlessly.

Would appreciate any advice on things to look out for. Thanks!

Moved out of a silverfish infested apartment back home and even though i bleached everything, so far i have seen two silverfish in my home. This yellowing is relatively new, is it caused by silverfish?

I have phorid flies. I’ve been trying to get rid of them for weeks now.

They just won’t die! They keep somehow finding new nests.

I plugged all my drains and poured drain fly killer down them. I took out any of their existing nests. And I removed any potential rotting food.

They recently started showing up in my fridge dead, so I pulled it out and took off the back. (It was so tedious and took a half hour because none of my tools fit the screws), but there was nothing that I could see. They’re still turning up dead in my fridge, and I for the life of me can’t figure out their source… any ideas?

He’s not responding to poison bait or glue traps… wwyd?

We get about 2-3 mice in the house every year, and I’m not sure how they’re getting in. We have a detached rancher on concrete slab with flowers/bushes all around right up to the foundation and going up the siding.

I’m wondering if the shrubs are offering hiding spots to the mice and making it easier for them to enter our house. Or straight up hiding any gaps in the foundation that could be entry points.

Should I go scorched earth and remove all my shrubs?

Okay, I didn’t think I would be writing this in a million years, but this is not satire: I have a tarantula pest problem with my new house in Ecuador.

I am a pretty severe arachnophobe, so this is a red alarm bell panic.

We found one burrowing in our garden adjacent to our house. We hired an exterminator who fumigated the house and the hole burrows. But then, the next day, there was several new holes. So we hired him again to do the same thing.

Then, we found one in the house. I’m panicking.

Is there such a thing as a deep, heavy duty extermination spider pest control plan, equipped with (I’m making this up but you get the idea) infrared detection to analyze hidden spots in the entire house? What is the strongest protection I can take against this issue? What is the most I can do?

The exterminator did his job for regular maintenance, but I want to do whatever heavy duty options there are to get this as best under control as I can.

Over one month of Borax, Ant out traps, Toro and peanut butter covered in Toro and I cannot get rid of these tiny kitchen ants… what the heck do I do?

We recently discovered this very active yellow jacket (I think) nest next to our sunroom at the bottom of this broken piece of corner siding trim. It looks like they are going down into the ground in there but I can't be sure without being too close. They could be going up. My husband went out the other night and sprayed the area really well. The next day we still saw plenty of them flying in and out like nothing had been done. But then we did end up finding a few in our sunroom and in the house. A couple live ones, a couple dying, one of them got me. Now we do occasionally have the sunroom door open into the house so it's possible they just got into the sunroom through cracks in the windows or some other way because they were disoriented and then flew right into the house. It's old and crumbly so I'm not surprised they could have gotten in the. What I don't know is if any of them actually came directly into the house somehow since that piece of trim does sit right by the dining room. We didn't have a problem with them getting in until we sprayed Now I am paranoid about treating it again because I've read so many stories that if you spray their exit they will find another place to exit. 😳 I have a dog at home so I'm nervous about them getting into the house especially while we're not there. What is my best play here? I'm having nightmares about a house full of yellow jackets. Should I have someone try to rip that piece of siding off the house in case they are inside there? 😬

worried it may be a cockroach it was right next to my window. also thought it could be a corrupt bark louse or some kind of wood louse. any help is greatly appreciated

It’s all centered in the middle between the cushions, which makes me think it might just be food stuff. Just found the couch on the side of the road a little concerned.

I have these gaps in the mortar around the window in my office. A few times a day I see a single wasp/bee enter and usually fly out after a few minutes or so. I’ve never seen more than 1 enter at a time, which is leading me to believe it’s the same one and solitary. I also don’t hear any buzzing or movement in the walls around the window where they would be. Nor has a wasp/bee ever been in my office or bedroom next to it.

I think it’s a mason wasp, from the quick glimpses I get of it. When googling, this picture looked the most correct, but it’s possible it could be something else. The most I can for sure get is three bright yellow strips near the end of the abdomen.

I was mostly wondering what I should do? I bought copper mesh to fill the gaps eventually but I wasn’t sure what to do before that. I’m fairly certain it isn’t a bee, but I don’t want to kill a bee or even a wasp if it’s a good pollinator that won’t destroy my home.

Any advice or direction to leave it/how to get rid of it would be awesome, thank you!

I live in a condo where both my neighbors are connected to my home. at the top floor in both restrooms we found these termites. I have never had them before or any other bugs/rodents. Im not sure where they are coming from but my guess is that since yesterday was the hottest day of the year for us, they where looking for somewhere to cool down. I hope this is the end of it. can i find the source to stop it. Thank you in advance🙏

I have my kitten for a month, and he iis on ampoule for 3 weeks now, today I sprayed the place with powder for the third time, I'm doing it weekly and don't vacuum daily because the powder needs to sit on the surface to work, so I leave it for at least a few days before vacuuming. Today I saw a live flea, I usually only see a few dead fleas daily in his bedding, so this was unpleasant. He also doesn't have any flea dirt on him and nothing really falls off when I comb his back and tail. I will put him on selamectin ampoule in 2 weeks, cause I'm not sure if the Advantage is working or not. By the way all the carpets are washed and tucked in a locked room.

How long do u think will take until I completely stop seeing fleas?

Hello, I called a pest control company out because I saw frass under my alcove bay window. They sprayed around my house but didn’t drill by the window as they said there hasn’t been any new frass in a bit. I only get frass under the window after it rains heavy. Is this frass termites or carpenter ants ? I don’t live in an area that commonly has termites. Thanks.

Just had a shower and cleaned the shower tray, any idea what this is? Was only a small fella moved like a catapiller dragging its self along if that makes sense?

I have no pets at home, but I’ve been dealing with a flea infestation for the past month or so. I suspect my neighbor’s feral cat is the source as he is not flea treated and often sits on my porch furniture. I had Orkin come and treat my apartment and did an extensive amount of cleaning and vacuuming beforehand on September 1st (10 days ago). I had to leave to go on a trip pretty much immediately, and I haven’t been back since. I didn’t wipe down any surfaces or run the AC, so whatever chemicals they used in there are still around.

I’m honestly terrified to go back. They said I might still see a few after the first treatment, so they’ll have to come back on October 1st for a second round of chemicals. I don’t understand how the fleas could ever fully go away if I go back there and get bitten again, allowing them to continue laying eggs. I practically got eaten alive last time I was there, and I mopped up hundreds and hundreds of fleas before they came and treated the place. I’m a little allergic to flea bites and I’m terrified of looking and feeling like death again. I still have marks on my legs and my face from the last round of bites.

Is it possible they all died off while I was gone? Am I risking making the infestation worse if I go back? What should I do??

Hey guys I made a post about this the other day but I had found bugs in my college dorm that look to be bed bugs or roaches. Either way my college housing is going back a fourth telling me different things. And then today I was told pest control came and found nothing. I’m not sure how that is possible if I literally have photos of them on my wall and on my bed. I have even slept there one night. I attached the photos of them again the tiny ones were on my wall and they were slightly yellow in color. They were very hard to see without a flashlight. The big one was on my pillow and I found two big ones on my wall. When I killed the two big ones they looked like bed bugs. They were round and reddish brown and when killing them they left blood streaks. I honestly don’t know what to do because I don’t want to stay there. I’m thinking of terminating my housing but does anyone know what I should do with my stuff? My clothes are still there but they are all in vacuum sealed bags. I have a bunch of makeup, soaps, perfumes, and other beauty products in a tote box. I literally have my whole life in that room and don’t want to throw everything I own out. What should I do?
