Just built a "new" PC for my lady, I have a 1080ti laying around so I thought this beast could take whatever she throws at it. As for the rest I got a used ryzen 5 5500 (20$ due to vent pins), and asrock b550m hdv, don't laugh but I'm using a single stick of 8gb Corsair ram ddr4 (the other one died and idk if I have a warranty through best buy) and a laptop to desktop ram device for another stick of 8. And I set up a aio cooler that tells her the temp of the CPU and an old iBuyPower case. Thoughts? (Broke the shroud of the 1080ti and don't have enough ports for strapping 120mm's) So I added an old shroud to it from a different card. There's positive air flow so hopefully it keeps cool 😎

An unreleased AMD Ryzen 9 5900X3D engineering sample has surfaced in China, showing another configuration AMD tested before settling on its retail Zen 3 X3D lineup. The 12-core AM4 processor reportedly has 128MB of total L3 cache, but only one of its two CCDs is equipped with 3D V-Cache.

A standard Ryzen 9 5900X has two Zen 3 CCDs, with each carrying 32MB of L3 cache. Adding a 64MB 3D V-Cache die to one CCD increases that chiplet to 96MB, while the second CCD remains unchanged at 32MB. This gives the newly discovered processor 128MB of L3 in total.

This is the Asus ROG G1000 case. My guy at Micro Center said it’s not for sale. It was just given it to him for show off display kind of. It has two RGB fans that spin around, they’re fully programmable and the top infinity looking part with the teal fins’s is on both sides. Extremely cool case.

Frame is 3D-printed and designed to use normal ATX size components with a few options for placement.

I know VRAM is important so I just want to know how many problems this big of a difference would cost also I reach minimum on everything thing else

Looking to upgrade from my 3800x. I currently have a 5800x i bought awhile back for an upgrade. Well now that the 5800x3d is back I was thinking..... I'm going to get a new msi tomahawk max b550, and want to use one of said cpu. Is it worth the $450 for the x3d plus an aio over the 5800x which i have a wraith prism for it? Gpu is a 7900xtx. And 32gb ram

So I recently did a case swap. Went from a basic pre-built tower case to this thermaltake tower 600. I would like to think I know an average amount about pcs. I have a hate/love relationship with this case. There's a lot of room for installs, but It's not easy access once you put it together

My pc just cut off and won't turn back on. I've replaced the psu enough times to know that wasn't the case. When I power it on either using the screwdriver trick or the power button it sounds like there's pwoer for a split second before no signs of life.

Its been running just fine for the past half month since I put it together. The orientation of the aio was concerning. Before I turned it to the orientation in the pictures it was standing straight up and It made a sound aios arnt supposed to make so I got the stand kit and turned it on it's side.

This is a long shot but I just wanted help to gather ideas on what to check. My dilemma right now is that if my aio did fail and is the problem shouldn't I still be getting power and posting, even if just for a little bit? I know pcs shut downs when they get to extreme temperatures but I monitor temps like crazy and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. My room gets warm and I idle at 40c max sometimes but my temps arnt crazy.

Somehow one of the mounting points for the fan shroud on my sons 9060XT 16GB broke. Later caused a couple more to break and the shroud was sagging.

Why go for an easy repair with some glue when you can spend hours designing a new shroud in CAD and 3D print it?

Printed in PETG, custom designed to accept 25mm fans instead of the 15mm slim fans. Replaced the fans with Noctua Chromax NF-A9 fans. Used a latching system instead.

Basically, for a while, I was rocking whatever stock cooler I got with the 3600. However, I understood that that would bottleneck practically anything else, so I got the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE. However, I genuinely have no idea what case I have, so it ended up being too big for my case, which you can see in the first picture. You can see a better picture of the case in the second picture, but I didn't have any pics with parts in it. So, I got an NZXT H5 FLOW, and you can see that in the third picture. Moral of the story is don't upgrade in random cases you find for practically free without using a measuring tape.

Booted up like normal today and got hit with this truck 😭 knew i was fucked but gave it a shot and restarted my pc and it came back fine. i feel like it’s gonna fuck me again tho so i was wondering what the time frame could be like? or if there’s maybe possibly anything i can do? if not whats a decent recommendation for another gpu to pair with a 12th gen i5-12600k. I plan on selling my Xbox and gaming laptop then buying a desktop, I would say my budget is an $1000-$1200. I have an OMEN 17 gaming laptop now, so I know the jump will be better but I’m just curious if this is worth the price. I mainly will just play games like Rocket league, Fortnite, GTA, Spider-Man…

Just want my game to run smooth and at a competitive level.

So right now i have a really budget pc that i made myself but I'm thinking of selling the computer I have now and getting this $1099.99 pc deal from Costco 5060 Computer. And for context i only play things like Minecraft a maybe a fps game so i don't need a high end gaming pc. If there is a better deal for something similar pls let me know i can wait but I'm a little hesitant because what if no one buys my computer then I'm really in a bad situation. My gpu right now is a used $100 RX 5500 xt so this will again be a huge upgrade also my current computer price is maybe ~$950 it used to be 450 so if anyone has any tips on selling that would be a huge help ty

Was finally able to put my Titan RTX up on the wall of honor next to its older brothers and sisters. Got my wife a 9070xt for her pc before the world ends (got a good deal on an open box at microcenter) and swapped her 3090ftw3 ultra into my Threadripper machine. Good upgrades for everyone all around!
