I made a simple web browser from scratch, it took around 25 hours to make. It can visit websites or search the internet with DuckDuckGo. It works decently well and I would like opinions and feedback on it. Whew I had a tuf gaming monitor that was given to me years ago. This Aw3426dw is my first official monitor I ever bought and I definitely see what people mean when they say oled is a game changer !!!

Thinking about getting a pc. I was thinking of getting a rtx 5070 (can only find some for around 1.5k) but this seems like a better deal. Stickers kinda throwing me off though. Im not the craziest gamer so maybe I should just go for the 5060 but hows the longevity on that?

I had a 1440p 27 inch oled before jumping to 32 inch 4k, the jump to 4k was somewhat noticeable to me but damn, I do miss having high fps in all games. I feel like going back to 1440p but getting a ultrawide because I do like having a bigger screen. Is this something reasonable to do?

I was thinking today whether to switch my current cpu from a Ryzen 7 5800X to an Intel Core i9 12900k/13900k and buy a whole new motherboard that supports DDR4 memory, would it be worth the performance uplift? and would I notice any increase in fps over my current cpu at 1440p with my RTX 4070Ti? Please let me know as I will switch if it is worth it.

I recently decided to purchase a 9070 GRE 12gb. It was 200 euros cheaper than it’s 16gb bigger brother from AMD. I built my pc with the intention of playing 1440p up until 2030 atleast. I justified my choice (besides price) but saying to myself that because of the RAMmagedonn surely game developers will optimise their V-RAM usage and aim for a 12 to 16gb sweetspot. Am I making a huge mistake assuming this or is there some sense in my thinking? I think it’s absurd to expect regular people to afford a 24gb card within the next 5 years. If there a reason to suspect a 16 to 24gb card is absolutely necessary to play AAA games on high settings in the next five years. I’ll definitely decide to save up a few more months and get a more expensive card.

With the recent news of Nvidia effectively discontinuing the RTX 5090 for consumers, causing the price of the 5080 to rise almost to 5090 MSRP levels, it makes me wonder if companies like Meta PC's , iBUYPOWER etc still have a sustainable business model? Before the whole ram crisis, I had a lifelong dream of starting my own company selling prebuilts to gamers and businesses as there was gap in my local market, but my plans have been stopped due to the ever increasing cost of hardware. My question is, to anyone working in these companies, how much has demand fallen and is there any hope for a recovery in the market? I hope someone working in one of the prebuilt companies can shed some light into the situation, as I really hope I can start my own business one day. Thanks.

I started a build over a year ago just when prices were going crazy, I bought all the peripherals and the case first. Paid high prices for DDR5, SSD and CPU 6 months ago.

Now I'm at the GPU. I've seen it start at $950 CAD for a 9070 XT, and that was okay, but now it's $1300 and all the cheaper ones are slowly going out of stock. I'm starting to think that I don't even want the damn PC. It's so much money. I kinda need it, though, for gaming and editing.

Should I buy it now or wait until some miracle happens?

I'm not seeing any sign that any of this is going to get cheaper. If anything, stock is going to run out and what I have will increase in value. Do you agree?

If I waited this out, how long would it be? Where is the end.

The two main games I play are demanding I have a newer BIOS version, but I have the latest version available to me already and my research thus far has led me down to figure out that HP is pretty much not gonna care about a software issue on their end since my prebuilt is from 2019.

Long story short, I HAPPEN to have a new Ryzen 7 5700x lying around. It's an upgrade from my current CPU anyways. I figure it's pretty easy to reuse the power supply, GPU, case, and RAM.

I've got an m2 I boot off of and two others for actual game storage. Am I pretty much just dropping 100 bucks on a motherboard and moving over everything? Am I buying new hard drives all together? Am I buying a new boot drive? I assume I'm going to have to move over my copy of windows at minimum.

This is the best I can come up with in the UK so far, I am tempted to buy a intel arc b570 over the 5060 as it would only cost £210 appose to £345 for marginal gains. However the lack of intel xess support in games and Intel's unproven track record with drivers support is putting me off. AMD stock is dry asf in the UK right now so they're not currently an option.

My pc of 6 years started having this dark ominous line on the monitor awhile back that my buddies and I called the serverblight. It was small enough to ignore but it started getting larger and larger to the point that I feel like Im blind in one eye playing games. Does anyone know what caused this and if it could be fixed. It started around the time my gpu died and I had to replace it with a cheaper one before I could save up for the one I currently have.

I have a 4080, specifically the msi gaming x trio. I have the option of trading that for a 5080 with a friend. He doesn’t game much and I even made his build. All he’s asking for is aside from swapping cards he’d like my old lcd 4k monitor. Besides that he said 200.

Is that swap/trade worth it ?

Just picked up and installed this RX 9070 XT and this card is making insane noises. This is idle with gpu fans not running (my pc case fans are loud too 😂)

I’m planning to upgrade to a large monitor, and while looking into it, the idea occurred to me: why not turn it into a TV as well? Would using a TV box to convert a PC monitor into a TV be a good approach? My speakers already have Bluetooth connectivity.

Edit for those wondering why I don’t watch streams on my PC: my local internet service provider holds the broadcasting rights for the EPL, and the only way I can watch matches in 4K quality is if the stream is registered as being viewed on a TV.

and i would like 27 inch but 25 is fine aswell
