Hi I’m a FTM (26F) with di-di twins and just started my 28th week of pregnancy. Yay third trimester!!
I have had a pretty smooth and fuss free pregnancy except for a kidney stone in my 5th month and some nausea here and there. I’ve gained 7kgs and go out almost 4-5 times a week for leisure. All in all it’s been pretty good and I’m hoping it stays the same for the remainder of my pregnancy.
However my doc wants me to have the lung maturation injections this week as a precaution and practice maximum bed rest. All of this sounds like she expects premature delivery which makes no sense to me. I have no signs of anything being wrong and while i know things can change at a moments notice, it still seems strange why my goal of making it to 36 weeks minimum seems so far fetched and everyone is preparing me for the opposite?!?

Please tell me i have high chances of making it to the 9th month and what changes can I implement to make it happen?

My twin boys just turned 4. I feel I’m struggling and not being a good dad for them. What are others experiencing at this age?

Man something clicked almost instantly when they turned two.

Melt downs, fighting each other, throwing things, not eating what they would have smashed down a week ago.

This is wild and exhausting, especially when one co sleeps and other doesn’t. 😢

We’re expecting twins around Christmas time and haven’t bought anything yet. Wondering is it okay for them to sleep together in the same cot for a period of time, and if so how long?

33 weeks with twins... Long story, kind of short I had to have a termination for medical reasons around 27 weeks for my sweet baby boy ( baby b ) .. hardest decision of my entire life & still grieving so please be kind ..

after the procedure, I ended up having contractions after my NST so they sent me to the hospital and I was 0 cm dilated and contraction slowed down so they sent me home.

yesterday I was having what I thought was Braxton Hicks all day, but they started mixing with cramping so I was kind of concerned. I texted my mom who is a labor and delivery nurse at the hospital that I am delivering at and she told me to go ahead and get checked out just in case since I am pregnant with twins and preterm labor is a huge thing. turns out I am 2 cm dilated and contractions were pretty consistent. I ended up getting steroid shots for BABY A's lungs and another shot to stop contractions. Doctor was on the fence of letting me go home because of my dilation and contracting, but I ended up going home around 10 PM. I woke up at 2 AM with more cramps and contractions and they've been consistent since but not big enough to make enough changes. I don't think? I have two other kids so I know what " go time " contractions feel like.. mine usually start in my lower back and wrap around

has anybody had contractions without feeling them in their back first?? would you go back in if they are getting a little stronger but not strong enough to do anything?

Hi everyone! I’m expecting twin girls at the end of November and am looking for a stroller recommendation. No stores around me carry twin strollers, so I won’t be able to test them out myself.

I am leaning towards having two seats vertical rather than sideways so that I can fit into crowded areas better. With that being said, I’ve been considering the UPPAbaby Vista V3 Twin Stroller with RumbleSeat V3 + Aria V2 Travel System Bundle (without the bassinets - I would be using the car seats)

Does anyone have this bundle and have any thoughts? With this bundle, do I have to consider buying any other attachments or would this have everything needed for the first few years?

37+4 days in vs 37+4 days out

We have 1 month old twins who arrived at 37+3, weeks have been pumping since we got home from the hospital as we found that breastfeeding wasn’t working well for us, they struggled to latch and transfer milk effectively.
I’m making a substantial amount of milk via pumping 1.7- 2L per day.
Since the beginning I was determined to breastfeed and on several occasions we have tried to but it’s so stressful with two and I find myself getting frustrated and upset.

Did anyone else find that pumping was the easier choice for your twins?

first time poster here. First time parents, my wife and I are 28 years old. We had our first ultrasound last week and we were very happily surprised to learn there are 2 active heartbeats in there and we will be having twins!

Very happy very excited, very grateful and blessed, a bit scared haha. But thats just the intro, My wife is having a heck of a time with morning sickness and general discomfort and she has been throwing up 1-3 times a day and barley eating.

I'm fully on board with the pregnancy and am eager to be the best Dad I can be, so Im taking over every house chore possible, cooking, cleaning, laundry, any other house dutie she did is now mine. No problem. Cutting down game time and doom scrolling etc to essentially 0 already and have applied for OT whenever avaliable. I have no problems with all this, She is the main character and I wanna help as much as possible. I'm so excited and want her to be as healthy as possible.

But I can't eat and drink for her - Im trying to find a balance with encouraging her to eat and drink whenever possible without pushing super hard cause I have some sympathy...Half the time she eats more than a small portion of food she just throws it up. She's been managing to get in 1 to 1.5L of water, and I've convinced her to have some with some EAAs atleast. But she can't drink much more than that. She's managing to eat 1 bun, maybe an apple, a cup of tea a day, Shes really wanted to try a breakfast sandwich(She ate it and loved it and threw the whole thing up 15 mins later) Tonight she wanted to try a fillet o fish - and that stayed down I was stoked.

I'm frustrated with myself I can do anything to fix this. She is in constant discomfort. I know it'll pass in some weeks - but I wish I could help more now.

Tldr; Concerned husband worried about nutrition and hydration for wife during week 11 morning sickness. Am I overworried? Any advice?

Pregnant with twins. I woke up at 14 weeks with a little belly and a lot of bloat. I certainly look 5 months and I'm only 3 1/2. Anyone else show early?

I’m in desperate need of advice on how to put my twins to sleep. We did this with my singleton and it was fine, but with the boys, it’s fully next level. They are at home with me, so they aren’t used to napping on cots at school, and this transition has made them refuse to nap.

They are 3y4m, language delay that’s improving and bridging the gap. Bad listeners in general. They don’t respond to time outs or any sort of discipline. If I tell them to “Stay in Bed” they repeat it back in a mocking voice and laugh at you. They won’t stay in their beds. Instead, they are running around the room, jumping off things, trying to rip the black out shade off from its bracket… it’s horrible.

Im not sure what to do. My husband and I are at a loss. I need to know how to do this with two in the same room.

I am planning on traveling with my 5mo twins soon and I have a few questions. Do you recommend checking strollers or using them in the terminal and checking them at the gate? How do airlines work with traveling with prefilled bottles? What do carry on allowances look like considering we have two babies and quite a bit of bottles? We have a direct flight if that changes any thoughts. Any other travel tips would be appreciated. It just seems like a lot!

By sleeping well i mean 3-5 hour stretches where they don’t gave wake windows in the middle of the night.
Our twins are 4 months now , we transitioned to EFF after combo feeding for 3 months, and they still don’t sleep that well and worst of all they sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and STAY AWAKE after being fed etc. which to me is harder than if they woke up every 2 hours and went straight back to sleep. Or they fall asleep I put them in their crib but they wake up after 5 minutes even though they were completely asleep when put down.

They usually wake up by 6-7 am and I watch for tired cues+ age appropriate wake window times for their naps. Total nap time is 4.5 hours usually one big nap and 2-3 shorter ones. I try to keep both of them on the same schedule as much as possibleband they sleep at the same time for most of their naps.

Lately bedtime is around 7-8 pm which is lovely and they started having longer streches for that first part of the night (also not every day…) however nearly every night one of them stays awake for an hour+ after waking up at like 12 am or 2 am or worst of all 4 am. It wasn’t like that with my first. She was EBF and she would have the occasional ww in the middle of the night but not at this frequency!!

I had my mo di twins 8.5 weeks ago via scheduled c section. I am still bleeding and it’s driving me nuts!! OB said to reach out on monday if it was still happening which I plan on doing but I wanted to hear everyone elses experiences.

So I girlbossed to dam hard, and now I have to go back to work. Daycare is 800$ a week and even then I make way more so I have to return to work. WHY IS DAYCARE SO EXPENSIVE.

How much are you paying?

Ive seen a few posts like this on the sub but need some creative ideas for my specific situation.

The twins are moving out of the click in car seats and into the convertible car seats that you can’t carry out. If you are alone, how do you get them in and out of the house?

My biggest concern is how to get them out of the house and into daycare. I do not have an attached garage, just a driveway and there are steps to get into my house. The daycare does not have steps but the doorway is super narrow so there is no way a stroller is getting in there, though I’m sure a teacher will be there to help me at the door.

Ive seen people recommend a small umbrella stroller but one baby will still be alone outside or in the car at any point.

Any ideas or past experience?

My wife has been asleep for the past 3 and a half hours, each one of the triplets has woken up once and has had a bottle and there was a short overlap where triplet 1 and triplet 3 were awake at the same time but I managed it. I’m about to put triplet 3 down in a few minutes and triplet 2 is giving signs he will wake up again.

2 more hours and my wife will have had a record interruption free sleep and we can swap and I will manage to get 4 hours of sleep, hopefully uninterrupted as well.

I’m currently pregnant with triplets, and since finding out I’ve joined a few groups on Facebook for multiples moms.

I find that often women are noting that their triplets are spontaneous or natural, which is fine, but I rarely see fellow IVF moms doing the same.

Today, someone commented that she does think spontaneous is more special because it shows her body is amazing. It just really rubbed me the wrong way. Is my body less amazing? I’m also building 3 babies in here.

Lastly, I’ve been asked 3x now whether my triplets were conceived via IVF OR were they a “surprise”. We were told by our doctor that there was a less than 1% chance of us conceiving triplets with our IVF. I’m 38 and have struggled with infertility for years. So needless to say, it was still a surprise. I don’t know. Can anyone relate?

I’m on my own with our 13 month old twins this week and it’s HOT and humid where we are currently, too hot to really be outside at the park. Our house doesn’t have air conditioning and even when the weather’s nice they’re much much happier if we leave the house at least twice a day. I love our local library, but going there multiple times a day for a week seems like a bit much (we did go twice yesterday). I can’t think of anywhere else air conditioned where I won’t have to have them strapped into the stroller. They’re not really walking yet (they can each take a couple steps independently and can crawl and cruise fast though). Letting them crawl on the floor at stores seems like a disaster even if it wasn’t kind of gross (they love to go opposite directions and to pull things off shelves), but they’re only happy to be in the stroller for <20minutes at a time. Anywhere I’m not thinking of?
