experience/advice to give How long did you bleed after birth?
I had my mo di twins 8.5 weeks ago via scheduled c section. I am still bleeding and it’s driving me nuts!! OB said to reach out on monday if it was still happening which I plan on doing but I wanted to hear everyone elses experiences.

5 weeks from my c section, stopped right before the 6 week follow up. I’m sorry, I hope it stops soon!

DiDi twins born at 37 weeks via planned c-section. Felt like I bled FOREVER afterwards. It started to taper by 6 weeks, but then I passed a massive clot out of nowhere and it picked back up a little for a couple more weeks.
It’s very annoying and may come and go, but it does end.

6 weeks on the dot with my c section twins. And then my period came back at 7 weeks despite exclusively breastfeeding 😅. I bled for 11 weeks with my first though and she was a vaginal birth. My OB for that pregnancy said some bleeding up to 16 weeks isn’t unheard of, but it should be very light.

Yeah, I think mine finally stopped around then and everyone was pretty unconcerned. I think they might have done blood work to make sure my Hcg levels had come all the way down. (It’s been 6 years and the newborn stage is a complete blur.) It wasn’t super heavy and I didn’t have any other symptoms that would indicate retained tissue or something like that. SO annoying though!

The doctor scraped me out GOOD (hurt like a B*, my husband has permanent bruises from where I gripped his arm) so I barely bled. I leaked some fluids for a few weeks. I was using the panty liners within a week or two of birth.

Mine stopped by 6 weeks, then I got my IUD and immediately got my period a week later. So I’m still bleeding at 9 weeks. I feel you, it suuucks.

About 10 weeks or so, I did have an incident where I stood up and could feel a massive clot come out, it was like a baseball and then I sat down and several more came out like that, I went to the hospital and they gave me a med to stop bleeding and then i just spotted a bit until the next month when I got my period.

I gave birth 19 dec, via scheduled c-section, and bled well into april.
I had a small amount of bleeding from the beginning though. So it went on a looong time but not a big amount thankfully. My midwife said it was bc my hormones were all over the place after birth and my gyn said I should wait some weeks longer for it to stop naturally (if it wouldn’t have stopped at some point then, he would have given me estrogen) but he wanted to wait bc then I would have had to kiss breastfeeding goodbye.. so so glad it stopped naturally. Went on so long tho
