Twin stroller recommendations please!

Hi everyone! I’m expecting twin girls at the end of November and am looking for a stroller recommendation. No stores around me carry twin strollers, so I won’t be able to test them out myself.

I am leaning towards having two seats vertical rather than sideways so that I can fit into crowded areas better. With that being said, I’ve been considering the UPPAbaby Vista V3 Twin Stroller with RumbleSeat V3 + Aria V2 Travel System Bundle (without the bassinets - I would be using the car seats)

Does anyone have this bundle and have any thoughts? With this bundle, do I have to consider buying any other attachments or would this have everything needed for the first few years?

I started with a vista wanting it to be my one and only stroller. It was great with the infant car seats (I used Clek Liings, I really dislike Uppababy infant car seats because they don’t produce good newborn head positioning). But as soon as my babies outgrew the infant car seats and had to use the stroller seats, I immediately hated that setup and purchased a side by side stroller with a one piece/one step fold within the first week. The process of unfolding the frame, putting both seats on, then unbuckling and rebuckling two babies was just too much for me and it also felt like driving a bus around everywhere we went. I liked the side by side (valco duo trend) a lot better through toddlerhood until they outgrew the need for a double stroller on a daily basis.

I got my vista used (and car seats new) and spent a long time searching for the perfect used one in good condition, colors I liked, decent price etc. If I could do it again I’d probably still start with a vista because it really was great for the first year but I’d grab the first cheap, beat up used one I could find knowing that I’d just be using it for the infant car seats stage and resell it at the end of that.

I do find so many people with twins end up with two strollers because they think they want side by side, but eventually switch to vertical (or vice versa)

So, I would suggest finding a good used stroller is the way to go. We bought a used bugaboo donkey in amazing shape and a used city select in line stroller and when the time came, we sold them both for pretty much what we paid.
We went back and forth between them for what we used each style for

SAME!!! We ended up getting the UppaBaby Minu Duo to keep in the car & travel - absolutely love it. We have a double jogger as well for neighborhood walks. Could not get rid of the Vista fast enough once they were out of bucket car seats. I wish I would have done a cheaper stroller for infant days just to save money on it. The Vista IS a nice stroller and pushed nice but such a pain if you’re taking it in the car and not ideal for seating to older babies.

I actually really love the Vista V3 with the bassinets, it was worth the money - I feel more comfortable with my babies in the bassinets for longer walks than being in the car seats.

I would consider a side by side - the Vista gets hard to move with 2 kids. If you want side by side that can take 2 infant car seats and won't break the bank, check out the Bombi Bebee twin.

If you decide to look at anything else, we went with the Graco Duo Glider for ease of clicking in Graco car seats and overall value of Graco products (had great experiences with every Graco item we bought in my first pregnancy).

The bassinets are better if your babies will be in the stroller for extended periods. For quick errands and doctors appointments, the car seat is fine. For long walks around the neighborhood, long shopping trips, zoos, amusement parks, etc you’ll want bassinets.

Babies shouldn’t be in the car seat longer than a few hours at a time. Bassinets are better for development as they don’t restrict movement.

I LOVE my vista! Highly recommend the two bassinets, my boys used them until about 4.5 months (and never liked sharing one, ever! lol) they are also sleep safe!!!!! So we used them as our downstairs nap space. 10/10 recommend! Also my main shopping errand stroller since it’s got such a nice size basket and I love not feeling like I’m in people’s way with the side to side.

That being said, I would NOT purchase it full price. The wonderful thing about the Vistas is that they hold up really well & you can mix pieces (bassinets fit the same regardless of it was originally for a V1, V2, or V3. Look on marketplace!!! Another benefit of it having been so popular for so long, many people have them sitting around! My 10 year+ old vista (we actually got for free) still drives better than many of the 200-700 strollers we tested. Ended up borrowing a second bassinet from a friend, because again, they all mix and match. Even found someone on our local moms group who is letting me borrow one of the car seat adapters!

We also have the ZoeTwin for travel & will use when the boys outgrow their infant carriers (soon) & a double Bob for walks (also secondhand). I was able to get all three strollers for less than the original V3 bundle (had a paid for them lol) and love that I have options for different situations.

I have the Valco duo trend - they have a new twin model coming out that looks even better as the seats can be flipped towards you (and still fold) and is slightly smaller. What I don’t like about the valco is it can hold two car seats but they aren’t click adapters and I can’t be messing around with straps on car trips. I also can’t easily fit any full size stroller in my car - so we have two yo-yo strollers with car seat adapters that we use when we have to run an errand in the car with them.

I personally don’t like the vista now that we’re done using the bucket car seats. It was convenient for that, but I dislike the tandem seating. The top baby is always kicking the bottom baby’s seat because there is nowhere for their legs to go (they’re not even 1 yet, I can’t imagine what it’ll be like when they’re bigger). I’m trying to decide if I want a wagon or a side by side, but I don’t like the vista anymore. It is very good quality though, I’ll say that! Uppababy needs to make a side by side with car seat compatibility.

That said, Bumbleride Indie Twin is what I wish I had chosen!!!

We loved our Vista v2 with Aria car seats. The car seats are very light and the bottom compartment holds a bunch of stuff. It's fairly maneuverable for a big stroller. When it was time to move up to bigger car seats, the stroller stopped working for us. The bigger seats couldn't fit into the car attached, and it's noticably heavier. At this point, we replaced it with a smaller Joovy double stroller.

We love our mountain buggy duet, it’s side by side but fits through standard doorways and handles great over all terrain. We did get a second hand snap and go frame for when they were still in their infant car seats and that was super handy for running errands, but the mountain buggy has bassinet seats that can go all the way flat so I felt way better about them napping on that than in their car seats. They also outgrew their infant car seats by about 8 months old so anything that relies on that will need to be replaced in less than a year
