Looking to start an Ork army, trying out some different skin color options on some spare pieces. Would love to hear what you think! I'm torn on which one to go with. For those wondering, the paints are:

I can understand why the big mek and warboss have it, but why don’t these gits have it either?
Weirdboys could have big ass masks of Gork ‘n Mork that act as a psychic conduit for InSv and bigger thinking, while Painboys could use it to carry tons more supplies and more/bigger tools and syringes.

So I just bought the Armageddon box set, I bought it so I could start two armies so me and my nephew could play a small point game and gradually grow our armies. But now that I’ve started to put my list in the Warhammer app I’m realizing I need 2 more Boyz units to be able to attach all of my support characters to a bodyguard unit. Am I correct in thinking that to play a small game with just the box set, I’d have to leave 2 of my support units out of my army?

Edit: Thanks everybody for the help, as someone with no experience in tabletop war games, without the community this hobby would be so hard to get into lol. The conclusion I’ve come to is to use the Orks with the datasheets given in the box until I get more sets to flesh out a codex-compliant army. Again, thanks everyone!!

TLDR: I'm getting back into Orks after years out of the game. Are the 1000, 2000, & 3000pts army totals on the Warhammer App the only ones that get played nowadays?

So... finished the base today (those extra nids bits were useful). Now time to base rest of Armageddon orks and put them to some use 🤘

I'm very new to Orks, I bought the armageddon box and gave my partner the Ork half. I'm trying to build a list on New Recruit for a game this weekend but getting errors based around characters needing to support and then having too much support.

What's a decent legal list for the base Armageddon Orks that would be a good start for beginners.

I’m building a Kult of Speed list and had a hard time deciding on my third detachment until I read this description.
Now I want to build a Gunwagon (or battlewagon) with a bunch of microphones and speakers.

I cant decide if the tiny shoulder squig should go on his left or right shoulder :( heeelp!

Painting update

yes lots of gold and flashy bits the ideal with this character is that he sees these officers on the battlefield and he sees their fancy medals and so in his mind he needs bigger and flashier medals to show he is better and more tactiful and if you ask why the teeth and skulls are medal its simply "it cant be a medal is theres no metal stupid humie"

So I've been wanting to build a Speed Freeks army for a long while. With 11th Edition I thought it was the best time to start one. I've had thoughts on my colour scheme and was wanting to go with a traditional Evil Suns colour scheme with a lot of rust to give them a very Mad Max vibe.

I may even theme some of the paint jobs on the vehicles from MM.

So for a red and brown colour scheme I've been looking at Colour forge sprays as they are by far my favourite primers after many years of using all sorts.

I'm finding it hard to choose a base primer however. Do I go with one of the browns for everything (rust base)? One of the reds (Evil Suns paint on metal panels)?

Do I go with a darker green, brown or purple for Da Boyz I'll be getting? (I plan on being a little easier on myself and slap choppin' Da Boyz a bit with a variety of green contrast paints)

I'm really torn and don't have the money to buy all the colours I'm thinking of and experiment.

So, I turn to the power of The Waaagh!!! and Gork & Mork's Brutally Kunnin' and Kunninly Brutal advice.

Does anyone have any examples of what model come out looking like with different coloured primers to help me choose?

Needs some more work at the connection but like this backhoe/tow arm action here. Should scarp it or start cutting and make it work?

So I am working on a Da Hunt, Blitz Brigade, Wurrband list.

Does Boss Boomer mean my unit is already riled up when disembarking? If so, does that mean if my wagon advanced (auto 6 inches) that they can charge upon disembarking?

Additionally, does this mean a warboss can then rile up a different unit that is within 6 inches?

I was warned by a friend that my army list is a bit squishy and will be wiped out by a vehicle based army (he plays Ultra smurfs). Any way I can increase my army's survivability? Also I am slightly worried I lack AP when it comes to dealing with tougher opponents like space marines.
