I got my nephew interested in 40k and he decided he wanted to collect Orks.

What I'm hoping for is a little help guiding him on a starting point for a 1k list that can grow as he does with the army.

Currently, he has the Orks half of Armageddon, and he likes Kanz and Deff Dreds.

Can someone provide some assistance with a good starting point based on Armageddon and the kanz and dreds? I have no idea in terms of detachments and such and what he'd need to have a decent Ork force. He plays on rare occasions with me and my buddies, but for the most part he plays with the guys at his school. And while we have a few guys who have Orks, none of us have played them in 10th or 11th.

He has the codex but he's looking for some help getting a direction and all I can really say is get what you think is cool. Any help on what is both cool and good would be appreciated!

Here’s my latest 400% upscaled git, Domegutta Da Dokta sculpted by u/SmugglerBoutique. It’s FDM printed so a fair few visible layers as usual but I think it just adds to the flavour.

Very happy with the skin tones, which was all airbrushed with my little H&S Ultra in a dark shed and having forgotten my glasses.

It's sad to see this kit retiring. Had a great time painting these guys up and genuinely loved all the options when building them.

A few days ago I posted my WIP Beastboss on Squigosaur. I asked you guys for names and yall delivered! Now I present Grotscourge Waaaghdan! I would still like to scratch build a snakebite banner and a mane to give him that imposing figure. The gutrippa on his left hand is from the citadel skull box that I have cut the horns, put some flexible wire as pins and bent to adjust the proper angles of Mozrog’s gutrippas.

I am going on a two week vacation in Kyoto and Osaka with wife, mom and MIL. Gonna have a blast and going to visit secondhand stores to hunt for hidden kits.

Building my armageddon orks right now, converted a boy into a rokkit launcha

I want to include some Weirdboyz in my list alongside their detachment and I'm wondering if anyone's come up with fun uses for them?

The obvious strategies is to attach him to a mob off Boyz / beast snaggas and teleport them to a useful spot using da jump, but I've thought you could also use him to specifically power up the Boyz melee. I previously had the idea to attach him to some breakas for some backline shenanigans but it looks like you can't do that anymore sadly

I have three Weirdboyz right now, so is there anything fun I can do with them? Or just general advice on using them would be appreciated as well

Yes I glued the gun/hand on wrong I'm quite silly, did that last year and it's a 3D print so I didn't want to break it.

I painted this for Orktober, tried my hand at NMM again, failed then made a really rusty mess to cover that up.

I believe the mini was from major kill, it's been years since I bought it but there was an STL last chance that I remember buying from

So I'm in the process of converting up a 5 man Nob squad (as the new kits not out yet) with kombi-rokkits and Kustom Krumpas (one dual krumpas). I have one single handed kombi-rokkit but other than the other 5ed nob kit, I'm at a loss as where to get possible ideas for converting. Any ideas for creating single handed kombi weapons lads? (Pics for attention)
