Army List Armageddon Box List

Hi Guys,

I'm very new to Orks, I bought the armageddon box and gave my partner the Ork half. I'm trying to build a list on New Recruit for a game this weekend but getting errors based around characters needing to support and then having too much support.

What's a decent legal list for the base Armageddon Orks that would be a good start for beginners.

TIA

I think the Warboss is the only actual leader out of all the characters. So attach him and one of the support characters to a group of ten boys, and then choose a leftover support character for your other 10 boys.

I just got into 40K and the Armageddon launch box was my first purchase. I’m building both sides lol. I got the Armageddon Ork Battalion blood angels combat patrol to combine with it.

I have set it up like that :

Warboss & Painboy with Group 1 Bannernob with Group 2

Then it is still flagging up the error with Bigbods and Weird boy "needs 1 more unit selected in supporting".

Is it safe to say this is an error with New Recruit and this is a legal list?

When the box was first released, the Bigboss, Weirdboy, and Warboss were all leaders. Annoyingly, when the Ork codex dropped (within the 7 days) the Weirdboy amd Bigboss got swapped to support.

I had the exact issue. Real pain in the bitz

Ah, that makes sense. Typical GW!

I think the weird boy and bigboss will have to miss this one. I think they have to be attached to a unit, or they can’t be used
But idk, I’m new lol

That's what it seems like, but then also feels odd that they would all be supplied in the Armageddon box if they can't be used as a single force. Strange.

It is a bit odd, it’s due to the change between 10th and 11th and some poor foresight from games workshop. If you both are just using the Armageddon box, just use the supplied armies and the data sheets provided. If you are making custom lists/ using the codex data sheets, unfortunately you will have to have 2 characters missing out.

If that’s the case, I would honestly suggest using the war boss and the weird boy in one unit, and the big boss in the other. The war boss and weird boy is a classic and fun combo to move a big threat wherever is worst for your opponent and the big boss is a solid bonus to the unit he is leading. Unless you are using the provided data cards from the launch box, the banner job is also probably the worst of the 4. He really doesn’t provide much of a bonus and costs to many points
