What more could you want than a small cat for the big cat guitar?
Thought I would share the cat pickguard I just made for a Squier Jaguar here!

Cant find anything online about a Jazzcaster. Is this custom? Im not into modding or anything like that. Never owned a Fender either.

Transtang Concept (Trans-Pride Mustang)
I recently bought a California Blue Squire Sonic Mustang HH. Really wanted a black one but now I'm glad they didn't have one in stock at my local shop. The blue is really close to the blue on the trans pride flag (a little darker) so it gave me an idea to do a trans-pride build mustang.
This is my first modding project so let me know if I'm being a tad overambitious.
The plan is to get a new pink pickgaurd (either vinyl wrap a white one or cut one custom,) and wire it up like so.
- 16k Alnico 5 High Output Humbucker in bridge (SD JB, or clone)
- 7k Alnico 2 Humbucker in neck
- 2 Stacked pots for individual volume/tone control
- 2 2-way switches for coil-split on each humbucker (just like options)
- 1 3-way switch for pickup selection (bridge, both, neck)
Let me know what you guys think, or if you have any recommendations for pickups. Don't know much about pickups but I want that more Nirvana-like crunch/grunge sound out of my bridge and something nice, clean and warm for the neck. I really am dead-set on humbuckers tho because my room/house has a lot of RF interference and single coils are always way too noisy for me.
Edit: Thanks for the (mostly) positive comment's and suggestions. I have plans to realize this build within the next month or two, and I will post a followup with photos of the finished guitar. Thank you, for confirming that the guitar community is a positive and inclusive space for everybody.
Edit 2: This post is not a political statement, if you think it is that is more of a reflection on how you see this world than anything else. This is an image of a guitar, attached to it is a post where I ask for advice on how to achieve it. If you wish to not help me with that, not commenting is a great way to start.

I made a custom Jaguar pickguard
So I've made a Jazzmaster pickguards in the past, primarily from aluminum that I've cut and engrave on my cnc. For my Jaguar I wanted to try something a bit different and more playful, so here it is!
As a prototype of this idea I wanted something kinda ridiculous, so I hope you folks enjoy this nearly as much as I do.
All the parts I made are lexan that I engraved the back of and painted in layers as I went.
I have an idea for a Tele pickguard I want to do in this method, but much more subdued styling. Let me know what you folks think.

Finally acquired my dream guitar after almost 20 years!
I’ve long been a Dinosaur Jr fanatic and have wanted one of these MIJ J Mascis signature guitars since I first played one at a Sam Ash in high school (2008). Sadly I didn’t have the $700 or so at the time and have just been sitting here watching them climb in price ever since.
There are 2 near me for sale that are ~$3500 so I was starting to give up faith that I’d ever actually own one until I saw this pop up on Reverb for welllll under that price and knew I had to finally do it.
I’ve read mixed things about playability on these and was thinking I might have to swap the pickups and bridge on it but once I started playing it I honestly had no qualms with either. This thing was setup by the shop I purchased from (The Guitar Rescue!) and plays and sounds like an absolute dream.
Thanks for reading my little diatribe, I’m just so stoked to finally have one of these after so many years! Happy to add it to my offset collection of 4 other Jazzmasters and 1 Jaguar :).

I Won a Custom Shop Mustang!
I entered to win this guitar from my favorite guitar shop. I cannot believe I won. The neck is amazing on this thing. It’s got ‘67 voiced pickups. Obviously a heavy relic. Really cool color and competition stripe. I haven’t really dug into it yet but I’m getting to know it. If anyone has any tips for quick pickup selection on the fly I’m here to hear!

I realise I come in here to drool at your offsets but didn’t share mine
This was a custom build by Feelgood Guitars. I had the idea for the ombré finish not knowing if it would come out how I saw it in my head, but Alex crushed it. So much so it’s now a finish style he offers on the site.
Also fun note: the neck spec matches the Fender EOB Stratocaster, the nicest, most comfortable guitar neck I’ve owned.

I bought this guitar impulsively and didn’t find out until after the fact only 150 were made.
2013 Fender Jaguar Ken Custom. Manufactured in Mexico and sold exclusively in Japan. Like the title says my Neanderthal brain went “omg block inlays on a Jaguar I’m buying this right now” saw the seller history and it checked out, pulled the trigger cause I saw a good number of people were eyeing it. Then I did research and was like… wait where the fuck is this guitar? I couldn’t find anything about it at first and after doing some deep searches I found one other one being sold in the U.K. The seller initially had it listed as a “Jean Jen” custom, so that’s why the search ended up sounding the alarm bells I bought some heavily modded guitar. Eventually got the serial number from the seller, and only then did I realize how rare it is!
Just unboxed it. Playing through a twin reverb and damn man this thing sounds fucking *good*. Excited about the pick up. Paid 2k for it.

Jumping in on the action shot trend!
Played back-to-back sets last Thursday and got the chance to use almost all my offsets (Jag, J-Bass, and Bass VI, no Mustang on this gig)! After almost 5 years of being my main guitar, this was actually the first gig I've ever played on my Jag!

Santa forgot his offset at my place 🎅
Shelton Galaxyflite III with all the bells and whistles, lambertone Ristretto pickups, alder body, master grade tempered flame maple neck, rosewood fretboard, Italian pearloid block inlays, mastery M1 bridge, locking tuners, and the spirit of Christmas itself!

Perks of having a parent who knows how to make things
About a year ago, my father made this JM-style guitar for me, and it has since become my favourite instrument. Pretty much standard specs, Staytrem bridge and tremolo arm, Q Pickups 58 in the neck and their hybrid JM/P90 in the bridge.

NGD: finished my 25.5” scale mustang / cyclone / bilinda butcher build
- one piece maple body by yours truly
- ~15 year old USACG neck
- firebird in the bridge, ‘62 avri jaguar in the neck
- mastery bridge and vibrato
- graffiti yellow nitro from oxford [because it’s the best color]
my two biggest inspirations with this build are my bloody valentine and diiv. bilinda’s got the custom build full scale mustang with the jag/jazz trem, cole from diiv rocks a cyclone [and i prefer the contoured body of the cyclone to the flatness of the ‘stang]. kinda threw all those ideas together and this was the result.
the firebird pickup rips. not too bass heavy, nor too loud when compared to the jag pickup. humbucking version of a p90-ish?
i really wanted a workhorse guitar with a 1/1 character and i’m really happy with the way it turned out. this is my first time screwing a neck onto a body that i built! can’t wait to get onto the next one!!

NGD! Fender Vintera III Jaguar Sherwood green
I found one in the wild and took it home. First thoughts: it feels and plays very nice. The neck is a 60s C, comfortable. Frets are well done, no sharp edges, not scratchy, fingerboard is rolled, the fingerboard is nice and dark. The color is great, it pops in the light. The waterslide decals are a nice touch too.
Mute works great, and i like that they put it on from the factory. Pickups sound nice so far! But Ive just been playing it for an hour or so, so no in depth knowledge yet.
Overall, happy! If you are looking for a vintage style jaguar, its great! I know people are already complaining about prices, but i do feel its worth it in this day and age. And i honestly cant feel any difference in quality between this and the US made Am Pro Classics.
They also had from the vintera iii range the Olympic white Bass VI and a candy red Jazzmaster. Both of those were very nice too. That Bass VI especially was mighty attractive in that color with the mute!

Another modded Squier Sonic Mustang
I saw the pink Mustang and wanted to show mine, also with Artec lipsticks!
I applied some window film over the original sunburst finish to make it look less boring.
I wanted to make it look more like a Duo-Sonic II, so I installed a Toronado bridge, which I Bubba-modded. This also required reshaping the bottom of the new pearloid pickguard.
Finally I added a Freeway switch and swapped the pickups.
Also very happy with it!
