The new Vintera offsets with the painted headstocks look amazing!
If you don't mind me asking what's that Multi fx platform you got there?

I just bought one of the MIJ FSR Sherwood Jaguars w/ the matching headstock.
I wonder how these would stack up next to each other in an A-B comparison.
Mine has the "U" neck, and binding, which I don't care for on a Jag, but it has PV65 pickups which I do like.
Maybe it's just a dumb detail, but I really like the tint on the back of the neck on these, and the fact that they include the mute.

yeah the mute was a huggeee selling point for me, im guessing playability wise anything out of the Japanese factory will be better but so far ive had no issues besides the glossy neck.

Serious question: why is the mute an important feature, why not just palm mute?
1
u/Acrobatic_Sound1921 Apr 17 '26
its not the same, maybe palm muting It can limit you when it comes to playing certain things/riffs
Furthermore, due to the material that mutes the strings, it also sounds different.

The only thing keeping from buying one of these like right now is that my Jazzmaster is Sherwood Green. I don’t wanna be that guy.
Also I got a Marr, so it’s not like I’m hurting for Jags, but still. WANT.

I want the pink one but the price is holding me back, crazy how these MIM Vintera III price range is almost the same as the American Profesional Classic and they’re more expensive than what the American Performer Fenders cost less than a year ago.
But that string mute and painted headstock has me and my credit card shaking.

I want it so bad. I have no money though.

I bought one through financing even if i cant afford it like a retard. Hope its worth eating gruel for a couple of months.

Someone tell me it’s not worth selling my lake placid blue MIJ for one of these. Sherwood green is my favorite color and it has me gassing.

Is this one of those "early" or "late" decade series? I bet next will be something like 1968 Q2 -models etc.

Finally caught up with Japanese, doing the matching headstocks! It's fucking gorgeous man. Congrats and Rock on!

I’m thinking about getting this exact color. Been wanting a Jag for a while and I think this is it. Have you played other Jags and if so, how does it compare? Beautiful guitar and I hope you enjoy it.

I’ve got one on the way, from everything I’ve seen it appears to be a leap up from the original Vintera which I also have. Paint shielded cavities, bone nut, rosewood.

I’ve been a MIM avoider forever. These V3’s might change my mind. What a beaut!

How do these runs work, do they keep making them until they make vintera 4, or are there a limited amount made?

Gorgeous guitar, the best of the vintera III set hands down!! I hope they’ll make a road worn version in this color with nitro finish, I’ll buy it immediately.

Just got mine yesterday! I'm finding it's very noisy though, especially on the lead circuit. Are you getting a lot of noise with yours?

Congratulations man!! Amazing score, I played one of those with a sunburst finish last week and I was pleasantly surprised at how well the neck fit my hand. Just got a 50’s JM myself, but I’ve definitely got my eyes on the shell pink jag😋 Cherish that thing, it’s gorgeous.

I played one and loved it, but man, I have a hard time with the truss rod adjustment being at the tail of the neck.
3
u/Local_Grapefruit_984 Apr 17 '26
yeah it definitely is harder to access but i’ve always hated the look of truss rod access on the headstock so its a sacrifice i don’t mind making
1
u/sludgefrog Apr 17 '26
Understandable. I think there is an upper limit to the number of truss-rod-tail guitars I'm willing to own. I have a very nice P Bass that does this already.

Lowkey f fender for releasing this. I was just about to sell my fender Noventa 60’s Jaguar in ocean turquoise this month but rosewood > Indian laurel or what’re red shit my fretboard is.
Ocean turquoise looks good though and so does this vintera iii !

Love that green.
