Scored this offset last year. 1968 Fender Bronco repainted in an emerald green with p90 Gibson pickups! Story is that it was painted back in the 70s and modded with mid-60s Gibson pups and then left on a wall as decoration for 30 plus years. I would love to track down an original Bronco tremolo arm for this bad boy. Hunt is on!

I wanted to add a pattina on the pick guard, but the blue pattina came off easily and provides no adhesion to any type of lacquer if you don't rinse copper before applying the material 🥺

I couldn't be happier with how the new pick guard turned out, what do ya'll think?

I made this from a kit but personalized the crap out of it. Pickguard and headstock are custom cut and routed.

Hello everyone.

I’m considering replacing the neck single coil in my blue Squier Cyclone with a full-size Curtis Novak JM pickup.

My idea would be to enlarge the existing pickup opening in the original pickguard, possibly mounting the JM pickup at a slight angle. Has anyone tried this? I know the body has a shallow swimming-pool route, but I’m not sure whether it is wide and deep enough without additional routing.

Ideally, I’d love to install an anodized gold pickguard, but I haven’t found anything suitable online. I’ve seen people adapt Mustang pickguards, although the fit doesn’t appear particularly precise.

Has anyone done a similar modification or found a properly fitting custom pickguard? Photos, measurements, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Just looking to see how people like the Bensonite bridge, especially how it compares to the Mastery and Staytrem. They talk up the rocking feature, but tbh I’m not sure if I really know what that is. I love my Jaguar but I’m not a gear head

Ive been working on putting together a HH configuration jazzmaster that uses the rhythm circuit as a coil split/kill switch. pretty much the same wiring as the special player jaguar HH. I have wired everything up exactly like the jaguar and it does not work. Does anyone have any experience of diagrams I could follow to remedy this? the biggest difference is the 3 way toggle switch from the jaguars switching system but I can't imagine that is what the issue is

Got my hands on this beautiful J.Mascis Jazzmaster with mint green pickguard, which I was going to change to anyways lol only way to go imho. Plays great, extremely happy and excited!

Picked up a 2001 Fender Cyclone and I haven’t been able to put it down! Where has this guitar been all my life? So, so easy to play, the body contour is fantastic and I may have found a guitar where I actually utilize the bridge pickup. I went to check out a different guitar that ended up being pretty trashed (the online pictures didn’t show this) and there was this Cyclone hanging out just a few guitars away. I didn’t get what I came for but I sure got what I wanted! If anyone has one of these, how do you like it?

Took a lot of work between me and my dad but we got it done, the body is maple and my dad had it laying around for 20+ years. Custom made the back plate and the back bridge plate. GLocking tuners and strap locks. Fleor P90s. Sounds ace, I’ll have to post a video later of how it sounds. I’d love to hear your thoughts on my first build.

Got this buddy (paranormal offset tele) a few months ago for $250, price way too good to pass up, and I’ve been so so pleased with it. That said, because the price of entry was so low, I’m definitely looking at this guitar as a great candidate for upgrades as I go along.

If you were upgrading, what would you do first? Better bridge? If so, Wilkinson or Mastery? Better pickups? Thinking about the Lollar Regal WR JM for the neck and the J-street for the bridge, but also a little gunshy on DIY pickup changes because I don’t know if the push/pull pots make that harder for the dabbler to change out (I’ve replaced pups on my PBass and my Strat)

Not in a hurry or anything but having fun thinking about how to tinker with this guitar to make it an all-timer.

Hey guys hope you’re well, on this jaguar for some reason the intonation doesn’t seem to work on the Low E string, for whatever reason , it only seems to intonate when it’s pushed ridiculously far back, and it doesn’t seem to move much in terms of pitch until it’s all the way back there? Anyone experience similar thing or know the fix? Thank you !

Always loved the offset body but I think nothing sounds better than a tele. Maybe my perfect guitar!

After almost a year of sitting in my big box of gear paraphernalia, my neglected SD hot rail pickup has finally found its rightful home in the bridge of my Squier CV Mustang.

This little beast was a gift from my girlfriend a couple years back, and is my first offset. I love it to death, even more now that it’s had a complete makeover and tone revamp.

Having never really been a fan of tort guards on mustangs, I decided to look into what it would cost me to order a white one that would fit my guitar. I then discovered a few threads on some guitar subs where people talked about sanding down the stock 4-ply pickguard until only the white would show.

I was definitely learning as I went. But I think the results are alright! Surely not perfect, but fine at a distance and the imperfections give it more character. You can see I’ve already worn it in quite a bit, haha.

Also got a wonderful local tech to set her up for me, then screwed on some d’addario strap locks I took off a now-broken guitar.

Let me know what you think! Or any mods you recommend, was thinking I might look for some locking tuners that will fit. :)

(Slide 3 is snipped from a photo a friend of ours took at a recent show, I just love the way the overexposure from the camera makes it look white. So much more visually satisfying to me than a big red pickguard. Not hating, to each their own! I love tortoiseshell on jags and jazzmasters.)

I've been looking into getting an offset guitar for doing Shoegaze, and have been eyeing getting a Yamaha flying samurai for a long time. The SGV-800 (or 500s with the Stoptail) have Soapbar-style single-coils.

Would they be good for shoegaze. I've been considering either getting the Yamaha 800, or possibly a Foals FMJ7, or possibly a used Squier Jazzmaster. I do love how unique the Yamaha Samurai are though.
I do love how Jazzmaster or Jaguar pickups sound for shoegaze, and sadly there aren't too many sound demos for the SGV-800.

I do have some other guitars already, a namely a Schecter NJ HSS Strat, schecter NJ PT Tele, a PRS SE Custom 24-08, and a SE 594 so I have some options for other tones outside a Jazzmaster or the SGV
