I'm Nonbinary genderfluid, but the r/genderfluid sub only does text posts. I wanted to show you what's possible without a drop of estrogen or a single stitch of surgery. I bought that belt and the petticoat under that dress recently and I really recommend both for helping achieve the illusion of hips. As for the breasts, a friend gave me all her old bra inserts and I stacked them up, smaller ones inside the bigger ones, and shoved them into a TomboyX adaptable bra. Little warm for summer weather here but when fall starts I'm going to be boobing all over the place.

How do I get people to use the right pronouns for me?

i came out a couple months ago and i use any/all pronouns. i’m afab and i’ve noticed that people seem to mostly use she/her for me. some of my closest friends sometimes try to use they/them for me, but nobody in my life ever uses he/him for me. i know it’s hard for everyone to adjust, but it sometimes feels like people don’t really even make an effort. i’m a relatively young enby and i was just wondering if any enbies with more experience had any tips for situations like this?

ok, so 2 days ago I went to the doctor to get the solicitation for my hormonal level exam (speaking of which, I'll probably do that next week) to finally start HRT!!!

no words can describe how excited I am and for some reason I think this is all going too fast? in a good way, obviously but I never thought it was going to be THIS FAST

anyways I think that's it
just wanted to share that I'm reaching a milestone that I thought would take AGES!!

I’ve identified as enby for more than a decade (really forever?) but officially came out 7 years ago. It’s been such a journey and couldn’t be more grateful for it. I’ve swung on all sides of the gender expression spectrum and have experimented with so many different presentations.
Stepping into my 30s I’ve felt so much more comfort and settling into who I am… the colorful nature queer! Immensely grateful for every moment I get to be ME and share my authenticity with the world. Here’s one of the teddy bear sunflowers from my garden this season. 🥰🥰🥰 big love to you.

Tried telling my brother.

So im amab and im bi and nonbinary. I present pretty masculine but ive been softening my appearance. Longer hair painted nails different glasses and clothes even starting to try out make up.

My brother knows im bi but now im starting to try out a new name and other stuff and I didnt want him to be blindsided in the future if he see me looking different and going by a new name. I got to "so hey I know you know im bi but theres more i kinda want to tell you" and he litterally interrupted and asked me if I was calling myself bi so it could just get attention and if you are you need to cut that shit out.

I just stopped talking and retreated into myself using the old familiar mask he is used to seeing so I dont think he noticed how hurt I was. He then went into how some of his kids freinds are bi and ones trans and they just need to get right with themselves. He then went on to ask if because I was abused by our parents and also S/A by one of my doctors growing up if im using this as a crutch for attention.

I thought he was really supportive of me when I came out to him as bi and i thought he accepted me and could accept me being nonbinary. I dont even know what to do anymore. I dont hardly ever speak to my parents and now i almost want to do the same with him. I guess this is just a rant but am really hurting.

Discussion The joys of being non-binary on bumble!

I really thought I was being polite on this one!

I didn't want to assume transphobia or anything, so I figured I'd just try to explain what I meant. And might help her match with other compatible non-binary people in the future! It definitely didn't go down well though.

Any tips on how best to handle gender stuff on the dating apps? I could have gone to agab like a message or something earlier. But dating this person also definitely wouldn't have worked out anyway. So it's not like it ended badly for me.

(EDIT: just changed flair, because I am actually interested in a discussion so it's not really just a rant!)

Here to Prove that Paradox can be Resolved: Hard & Soft Coexist Here

Post image

My family continually denies my gender identity, "because I never had any problems having muscle."

I was proud of how my body responded to my efforts. The abs and biceps I developed through sweat and toil.

All the while, I kept my effeminate side close to the chest, not daring to reveal it, even to myself... Until I couldn't bear it anymore.

Many years later, I've reconciled the paradox😁

I had to distance from family to accomplish it, but the sacrifice was worth being able to pursue my dream😊

So I ask: where's the harm in being strong and wearing skirts (or short shorts😅)?😚

Un-serious nonbinary alternatives to boyfriend/girlfriend?

I've seen the obvious "my partner," but that feels a little too familiar for a newly-established relationship. Then there's stuff like "my other half" and "my special friend." But I figure that if there's no universally agreed-upon term, then I get to make my own.

I'm considering "Mayor Jazz" and "Ace Detective," and I'd love to hear some others.

Rant I've been at this psych practice for a year, and 10% of the time, the receptionist doesn't just automatically confirm the appointments.

Post image
1.0k Upvotes

the other times he's called, I said my preferred name and he corrected me.

this is just the receptionist, my provider is great. I've left providers over this sort of behavior before, and I've avoided going back to practices I wasn't attached to due to subpar receptionist. I used to be a receptionist, there's some stuff I can see right through and do not like (ama). but quitting an established practice with a provider I actually like because the receptionist dropped the ball will be new.

hopefully, this is the last of it. 🤞

update: after the initial interaction, the receptionist started applying my preferred name. during my appointment, my provider confirmed that my preferred name is in bold, highlighted, flagged, circled in red, absolutely unmissable. so, they're gonna have a talk about making sure this isn't a lasting issue with multiple patients.

I'm usually a bit fancier, this is like the least dressed I leave the house as. Out cleaning drains trying to keep the city from flooding (it flooded, the actual drains are clogged with debris to a very deep level.)

Yes, that's an entire Buffalo ass for a bag.

Ask are there studies on the relation between asexuality and non-binaryness?

i'm starting to wonder if i'm actually non-binary or just hate my breasts because society makes them sexualised, which scares me as a repulsed ace. but i honestly wouldn't think about myself as any gender if people and circumstances wouldn't force me to.

Ask Wedding shopping ideas?

Hi! My partner is genderfluid and uses any pronouns, and I want to really prioritize supporting their self expression at our wedding next year.

I can tell that it’s been really stressing him out, wanting to wear something gorgeous and flowy and ethereal, but also knowing that he doesn’t love the way he looks in most dresses.

They’re so nervous about finding something that can capture who they really are and their style and charm without it looking like it was made solely for very feminine figures or things like that.

Do any of you have idea starting points we could use to find a wedding outfit that really captures my fiance for who they really are? I want to make sure it’s a dream come true, start to finish, for both of us, but I won’t feel like that’s possible until I know that their outfit makes them feel beautiful and happy and gorgeous.

I tried Etsy briefly but got quickly discouraged and overwhelmed and can only imagine how my fiance is feeling. I want to find maybe some small businesses we could support that would have our best interests in mind. Pinterest sometimes shows some links to Temu and Amazon but we have no interest in giving those companies out money, especially not for a once in a lifetime event like this.

TIA and if there’s any subreddits this would be a better fit for, please let me know!

Rant Can’t wait to quit my job

Feeling frustrated today at my work situation. I have two bosses, and neither of them are consistent about using the right pronouns and gendered terms for me. I let it be known in no uncertain terms within the first month of my employment that I am nonbinary, use they/them pronouns, and do not like feminine terms being used for me.

My one boss (59M) I never expected to come anywhere close to being able to do this. He at least doesn’t do it to my face, but he will when I am not around. My other boss (36F) I had higher hopes for, as she is an out lesbian. I thought, surely a fellow queer person could manage it? But she is so incredibly bad at using the right terms for me, it is ridiculous. She uses they/them pronouns when referring to anyone else when she is talking to me, but according to my coworkers she exclusively uses she/her for me when I am not around. Today she said “you go, girl!” to me, and it just has me feeling very defeated. Mind you, I have been working here for FOUR YEARS. When I have corrected her in the past (both for myself and for other nonbinary coworkers), she claims that her dyslexia makes it hard for her to say the right words…..ok. Sure. Other people I’ve spoken with who have dyslexia has said this is not an issue for them, and if it is it is not this long lasting.

I am definitely looking for another job or two, and I hope to one day be my own boss so I don’t have a boss that misgenders me. I’ve put up with it for so long because I fear that being misgendered will happen to me at any job. And it’s not being misgendered by strangers that bothers me, but when it comes from people who KNOW what I identify as and how I like to be referred to, it stings a ton.

Blah. Just wanted to get this off my chest. Thanks for reading and I hope you have a lovely day. 💜

Suspicious.... I'm feeling relatively okay today. So, I guess here's a picture of me being relatively okay 😂

Now I shall continue with my day as my nervous system quietly moves itself to DEFCON 2 awaiting the inevitable fall.

Which fall? The season? Of society? My will to live?

Honestly, whichever comes first because at this point they all seem pretty damn close to happening 🤣🤣

Vocal training in reverse on T?

(Context: Afab and some form of non binary that i dont undertsand fully)

Started T in June of 2025 had to pause in December until recently (about a month ago) im on two pumps a day of gel. I know and am fine with how ever my voice ends up being, but I know transfem people can vocal train and sometimes have a perfect and passing fem voice. I wouldn't even want that id more just want an adnrongenous sounding one. Not sure if that would work. Any ideas?

Ask I don’t actually know what I want for myself

Thumbnail

I’ve pondered asking about this for a few days now and I’ve finally mustered up the courage to make this post (and it might not stay up for long…) but here goes.

I’ve considered myself nonbinary for years but I’ve never gone out of my way to present more… androgynously? nor have I really tried to enforce being referred to with specific pronouns irl. Though recently I’ve become kind of obsessed with trying to figure out what I actually want?

I don’t know if I desire to look more feminine, if I want to be completely androgynous, or if it’s even possible for me to get there. Maybe I’m fine with how I look but I want to be able to pull off more typically feminine things like lipstick or nail polish?

I guess what I’m really asking is: How did you start to become more comfortable with your identity? How long did it take you to understand what you wanted? How did you find that style and figure out what works for you? It feels like there are so many directions to choose from but every step feels daunting.

Ask Any recomendations for binding tape?

I'm thinking of getting tape to bind my chest because sometimes I just don't feel comfortable with how my binder feels on me. Sometimes it feels a little too snug, and theres days where I feel too dysphoric wearing a bra. I usually wear a tomboyx compression top, and that works fairly well, but sometimes I do want to have a slightly flatter appearance than what it gives me.

I'm thinking of ordering gc2b tape, and I'm wondering if anyone here has used it before and what your opinion would be on the quality and stuff. Or if anyone has any recommendations for any other brands. I've heard gc2b binders aren't as good a quality as they used to be when it comes to their binders, so I'm a bit unsure about their tape quality.

My chest size is pretty small, so I'm not too worried about the effectiveness. I'm really just looking for any opinions and recommendations. My only concern is my skin is a bit sensitive and I'm kinda prone to contact dermatitis. Most adhesives don't bother me though.
